I had to say goodbye to someone very special to me today. My sister moved into college. She's not terribly far away, but it's more symbolic of the fact that she's moving on, journeying forth into the great big world of jobs and taxes and such. She will never truly live with me again.

I've cried a lot today.

But I must remind myself of how lucky I am. Most people are thrilled to have their siblings out of the house. I am lucky that I have such a strong relationship with my sister. Sorrow is the price of love.

Look back on your good memories fondly. They may be tainted with sadness, but we should be grateful for the joy they brought us nonetheless.
