Lest you think I'm naïve...

I know that there are bad things out there. I know that there are horrible people who do horrible things. I watch the same newscast that you do. I'm fully aware of the horrors of this world.

But I also know that there are amazing things out there, beautiful things, incredible things. Things like love, and kindness, and charity. Things that can't be seen, but you can feel in the air. The freedom of laughter, the wonder of a child, the light that touches your heart when someone smiles.

I am not naïve. I just recognize the side of the spectrum that a lot of people don't.
