Never give up. Surrender to God. Give your life to Him. I know it can be hard to give up control. Remind yourself that His way is perfect. Know that your struggling is for good. Whatever the temptation or stubbornness keep trying. Brant Hansen spoke about struggling in his book Blessed are the Misfits. Here is some of what he said, "It's striking how often people think that a longstanding ongoing struggle against a particular temptation means they are somehow failing. No. You're not failing. The struggle means God is still working in you. Do not stop struggling. We should expect struggling as part of the Christian life... We may become discouraged, but we keep going. Why? Because the ongoing effort itself honors God who loves us... It's through struggle that we learn, that we get stronger, and that we change." Paul struggled but never gave up. You can do it with God!
