"Would Dashpaw still be evil if Doveface wasn't his mentor?"
Dashpaw isn't necessarily evil. He despised Bluepaw because everyone seemed to love her and not him, but as of now he's not sure what to think of her. It didn't really matter who his mentor was, and he probably would have caused Bluepaw to run into the forest either way. So yeah, little Dashy's not evil—at least not to Doveface's extent, but he's definitely not perfect.

This might be Dashpaw. I'm still not sure.
