Chapter 9: Hard training Part 1

Boom! Clank! Clank!

The sound of two metals clashing against each other echoed throughout the Hololive building, a battle was raging.

— Shit, shit, one more swing of his scythe and he can kill me.

Hiiro commented those words, only to feel the presence of something approaching.

Boom!

— Damn... It sure is hard to attack with this thing.

Mori Calliope came out among some debris, dusting off her wardrobe. Hiiro who saw that the girl was distracted wanted to take advantage of her current situation.

— I need to escape...

Just as he turned around, a scythe was placed near his neck Calliope was looking at him with a serious face.

— Shishido, if you would cooperate, we wouldn't still be here.

— It's not my fault! How the hell do you want me to fight if you outstrip me in strength!

The necromancer ended up complaining to the shinigami, who to some extent understood what Shishido wanted to tell him.

Those from Murakumo and Hololive were separated into pairs to train with their respective Dainsleifs, being the first group to enter the field, Hiiro Shishido from Murakumo and Calliope Mori from Hololive.

Necromancer vs Shinigami.

Hiiro Shishido being a Necromancer someone who has the ability to control the undead, communicate with spirits and animate corpses (Zombies or skeletons) to serve him.

Calliope Mori apprentice of Shinigami being the Japanese representation of death or the grim reaper in other mythologies, Calliope's duty is to collect the souls of those who have run out of time in the land of the living.

One thing they both had in common was death.

They both possessed a connection with the dead.

— Well, you know we will remain in this mirror world until we control this power.

— Don't remind me.

Hiiro picked up the black and reddish colored staff, a nauseating sensation was formed in his body once he touched the artifact.

— Don't blame me for what happens next.

Calli kept her eyes open, unbeknownst to her, she was already in front of Shishido who stared at her in fright.

BOOM!

Again, the necromancer flew away from the place, this one ran away once more waiting for the right moment to attack Calliope.

— What a headache... It's the third day and these two have nothing.

Alvis ended up complaining by touching his temples, he was in the middle of Yagoo and Yanagi who were watching from digital screens the different trainings of their respective Vtubers.

—  I think that leaving them two full days and forty minutes is too much.

Yagoo commented this to the demon, who was thinking about his answer.

— They will call me a sadist for this. They need to find their weak points as quickly as possible.

Yanagi and Yagoo glanced at each other without understanding Alvis, only to turn their faces to the screen where Hiiro and Calliope were.

Back to Hiiro and Calliope.

These continued to fight against each other, although it was to say, that the necromancer was the only one who did not attack the Shinigami directly.

— Would you stop...!

Hiiro shouted this to Calliope who again and again tried to attack him, but always failed, this because of how elusive Shishido was.

Calliope completely ignored the desperate cries of Shishido who implored her for a moment of recess.

An annoyed expression was plastered on Hiiro's face, Alvis smiled as he met that look. Quickly Hiiro raised his hand in front of Calliope's face.

— RISE ABOVE.

From the ground, several shadow shrouded entities began to emerge, there were a total of four of them, two of them seemed to be knights, the next one belonged to the Naga species, half human half snake creatures.

The next shadow of a reptilian man, a humanoid lizard, most likely a Lizardman.

— A Shadow Lord...

Calliope mentioned those words softly, remembering the words Alvis had given her, when he paired her with Hiiro.

"Shadow Lord" according to Alvis' words, is a superior class among the Necromancers of their universe. A "Shadow Lord" has special abilities, from extracting souls from his enemies and turning them into his servants.

— Go get her!

Hiiro interrupted Calliope's thoughts, as he ordered his shadows to chase her, she stood on guard against the shadows.

Blam! Clank!

The sound of metal echoed throughout the building, each of the shadows attacking her in parallel. Yagoo and Yanagi who watch the confrontation from a screen noticed Calliope tired.

— Shit they are too fast.... I don't think I can...

A blow to her stomach made her spit out her own saliva, then fly away.

Hiiro, who switched places with his naga, was wiping his nose due to a slight nosebleed.

— Take that!

The young Shinigami apprentice came out of the rubble just as exhausted as the necromancer.

— Enough you two.

Alvis called out to the two that it was time to return, neither of them complained. Instead, they wished to return to the real world as soon as possible.

The two went through a portal that led them to where the Ceos and the demon were.

— God.... I'm so sick...

Calliope commented those words while standing upright thanks to the scythe in her hands.

— You can say that again...

Hiiro joined her in her sentiment, only to end up receiving a strong blow on his back.

— What the hell is wrong with you!?

An angry Hiiro said that one to an Alvis, who showed a disinterested face.

— You're so laid back... What if I were another Daemon? I would have cut you to pieces by now.

The necromancer wanted to protest, but, he agreed, after all, Hiiro always depended on his shadows, he still doesn't know how to fend for himself.

— Calliope Mori, you are good in battle, But....

Calliope sweats coldly as she saw how Alvis was behind her even though she expected a frontal attack, the demon stepped forward placing one of his fingers on her neck.

— You have many blind spots, concentrate on defending. Scythes are versatile weapons.

— Okay...

Calli answered that a bit surprised by the advice.

Yanagi and Yagoo looked at Alvis a bit surprised, although he has made the different talents train relentlessly until they are knackered.

Neither of them can deny that his way of teaching doesn't bear much fruit.

— Rest for today, tomorrow you will have to return to that mirror dimension.

With those words said, those present stared at the screens showing the different teams formed.

— Wait, Watson is fighting against Moebius?

Yagoo shook his head at Mori's question.

— I'd like to say yes... But...

Yanagi interrupted him by saying the following;

— Their opponent is another...

Both Ceos made faces under those words, an explosion was shown on the screen, which reflected a very exhausted Moebius and Amelia.

Both of whom were running from something.

— Cof She is insane...

Amelia announced that coughing a little due to the dust that was in the place.

— Stay alert, don't let your guard down, Amelia Watson.

Moebius did not finish his sentence when he felt an impact on his back, Vera who came out of the bushes giving a direct hit to the young Sündenjäger.

Amelia was completely perplexed by the abnormal speed with which Vera reached them in just seconds.

— Argh?!

The Cyborg continued to increase the force she exerted on Moebius' stomach, who looked as if he was going to faint at any moment.

The sound of a gun safety placed her alert in less than a minute, Vera moved away from Moebius to dodge the bullets Amelia Watson just fired at her.

— Not bad Amelia Watson.

Amelia was again taken aback, Vera seemed to react quite well to her Dainsleif's ability.

"Bullet Dance" an ability possessed by her gun, said ability works by stopping time for around five seconds. Enough time for the user to fire as many bullets as he wished.

Watson used a total of 7 bullets, and Vera was able to dodge them all, even one that was heading straight for her face, she was able to catch it with her mouth.

— If you can do this, I can't imagine what one of those monsters will do to us.

Vera only smiled at his comment, holding her spear in one of her hands. Moebius, who was still affected by the blow, wanted to make a clear strategy.

— What do we do? She has strength, reaction, speed and not to mention her combat form.

Amelia asked that question to Moebius, who could only analyze his chances of survival.

— I have an idea, but, it's too far-fetched.

— Anything will do.

Vera kept watching Moebius and Amelia who seemed to be talking about something, the Cyborg was tired of waiting.

— Oh...

From one moment to the next time stopped again for Vera, Moebius and Amelia took advantage of this to launch themselves at her.

"Time Roulette" the second ability Amelia's Dainsleif revolver possessed, for two minutes, the user will be able to predict and see his opponent's movements. The user is able to deactivate the ability at will, so, he will not have to use the time stop for long.

Time Out!

Saying those words, the sound of a clock stopping was heard for those present, Vera who had not moved an inch, was completely cornered between Moebius who put a knife on her neck. Behind her, Amelia Watson was pointing it at her head, somewhat exhausted.

— By now, you would be dead and you know it.

Moebius commented this to Vera, who simply gave them both a smile, both Amelia and Vera turned away from the Cyborg, who seemed to be somewhat pensive.

— Russian Roulette.

Her words made Amelia a little surprised, Moebius, on his side, could only sweat nervously at that.

Russian roulette is a potentially deadly game, which consists of a player placing one or more bullets into a revolver drum, spinning the cylinder (without seeing where the projectile landed), placing the barrel to his temple and pressing the trigger. It is usually played between two or more people. The objective is to survive and keep the money or the species of value to be played.

— Your "Time Roulette" skill works the same way, now I understand, you weren't randomly shooting into the forest to distract me. You wanted to find the bullet and shoot me.

Both the hunter and the detective were impressed for a second, of course, that smile vanished instantly. Sometimes Vera looks like a simple machine, whose only function is to fight and kill.

And other times, the way she thought and used her IQ, gave chills even to Moebius himself.

— Good thing they are learning... It means I can now take off my limiter.

— Of course .... Wait?! No!

Yagoo and others watched as the one Amelia and Moebius were in caused a huge explosion.

Yanagi could only sigh heavily, watching as Vera emerged from a portal with Amelia and Moebius in her hands.

— Did you knock them out?

Yanagi asked Vera who was saddened and only put on a sad face, not knowing how to answer her boss.

— Yes sir...

Hiiro and Calliope watched the scene, having a certain mental image of a dog being scolded by its owner, seeing Yanagi with Vera.

— Don't do it again.

— Yes sir...

Vera again replied politely and quickly to Yanagi, who was just looking at her a little angry.

— Their loss count was 3 vs 1.

Alvis completely ignored the small talk Yanagi was having with Vera, only to watch replays of the training of these three.

— You lack more killer instinct.

That comment made Vera's eyes light up a bit, but she got a sad expression again as she saw Yanagi shaking her head at her.

— Alvis, I understand that you're trying to get them to learn in the manner of these monsters. Still, it's not too far-fetched that.....

Yagoo wanted to have an opinion, but he was quickly stopped by Alvis, who already had a ready answer to his complaint.

— Try to kill them? That's what he means.

— ...

An awkward silence formed in the room, Yanagi knew in advance, since Khan let Alvis train the Vtubers. That this would be quite a challenge, both for the Ceos and the Vtubers going through this hellish training.

— I understand your concern Mr. Tanigo, however, if they don't experience the fear of facing a "monster" I don't think they will have the slightest chance of survival.

Alvis said it in a serious tone, only to touch his neck for a moment, a certain memory flashed through his mind when he was still young.

A man with a cold and empty look was glaring at him.

A certain sigh came out of his mouth, just to give some encouraging words to the Ceos.

— Other than that, we will do our best to prepare them for the worst.... I can't promise more than that.

His words proved to be sincere, even if, in a way, he gave the feeling that he didn't quite trust the vtubers' judgment.

— Anyway, they should put those two to sleep for a second.

Hiiro ended up pointing to Amelia and Moebius who were on the ground out cold after Vera's attack.

— I think I overdid it.

— Of course you did.

Calli and Hiiro ended up telling her that, only to make Vera feel even more guilty for what happened. Vera decided to help Hiiro to lift Moebius, while Calli carried Amelia to a nearby room, leaving Yagoo, Alvis and Yanagi alone in that room again.

— Are we still witnessing the show?

Alvis asked this question to the Ceos who were watching the remaining screens, although, Yagoo asked himself a curious question.

— I understand that it was you who trained Sana, Mumei and Gura. But, as young Yanagi and I were busy we didn't have time to watch it.

— Oh, about that, here's a video.

Alvis dragged one of the screens to start playing, in that video was Gura, Sana and Mumei attacking Alvis simultaneously.

— Is that all?

Alvis said that on the replay, only to stare at the three of them trying to catch their breath.

— Still... We can... Go on...

Mumei was the next to speak, only to stay a little bent over, due to her extreme tiredness, she was not the only one, Sana and Gura were just as tired.

— ...

An awkward silence formed between them; Alvis stayed still in his place only to let out a heavy sigh.

— I don't see any killer instinct coming from you.

The demon's words were direct towards the girls, who were looking at each other, it was true that from the beginning they were asked to train under the following term.

Hunter and Prey.

Regardless of how the training pairs or groups would be formed, there would be one or three hunters along with the same amount of prey.

And in the case of Sana, Gura and Mumei's group, Alvis is the prey, and the three of them were the hunter.

— If that's how they were going to fight a Daemon, they would be dead already.

Gura showed a clear face of disgust at the words of Alvis, who just kept belittling them all the time.

— We're trying! You're ridiculously fast you know!

A neutral and somewhat tired face was shown on Alvis, they've only been at this for a day, they didn't even have any progress in catching him. At the rate they were going, they wouldn't get anywhere, suddenly, a certain departure crossed his mind.

— I think we should call it a day...

Sana said that, before she felt a shiver behind her back. Mumei on impulse ended up pushing her aside, as fast as she could.

Yagoo and Yanagi went blank, seeing how Alvis in the video, split the floor in half with just one blow. Returning to the video, Gura, Sana and Mumei were perplexed looking in Alvis' direction.

Something was wrong.

They could feel it.

— ¿... Alvis?

Mumei asked that question with some fear, for some reason, a strange shiver ran down her back.

No.

That wasn't ALVIS.

— GRRRR!

BOOM! CRASH!

The three girls were trying to dodge that frantic attack from Alvis, who seemed to be beside himself.

— Alvis!!! This isn't funny anymore...

Without thinking twice, Alvis appeared in front of Gura who, by inertia, placed his trident between the demon's fangs. Seeing the girl's reaction, Alvis held the trident between his teeth, this alarmed Mumei and Sana who went to Gura's aid.

With Sana and Mumei looking on, Alvis lifted Gura, with his trident still in his teeth. He ended up throwing Gura abruptly against Sana and Mumei who crashed into each other.

— Damn, he's got a lot of strength....

Mumei felt a shiver behind her back, only to pull out her Dainsleif in less than a second. Small pink butterfly-like creatures began to form around her.

Sana who stood watching Alvis, could see him pull out some sort of box, only to pop some sort of white colored pill into his mouth.

— I hate using this thing... Ugh...

Alvis put on an annoyed face sweating a little, the rest could see that he was sweating and for some reason he was shaking.

— Are you feeling alright?

— It's nothing Tsukumo, it's just "medicine". It helps me calm down.

Sana observed that Alvis seemed to be in bad shape, whatever he took, it left him in a very bad state that he didn't seem to walk well at all.

— Alvis, what are these butterflies?

Alvis looked at Mumei who seemed to push the strange butterflies away from herself, Gura who followed suit did the same. Sana, on the other hand, had only just noticed them, and was trying to push them away as well.

— Ah, that. In my world they call them "Scarlet Feast". Because it serves one of the many primordial Rank monsters among the Daemons.

Saying those words, Alvis folded his arms only to have a huge blizzard blow in. In the sky, a huge silhouette appeared, landing right behind Alvis.

It was a European Dragon with black and reddish scales, its wings had the same color as its scales, from around it could be seen those strange butterflies, which seemed to come from its body.

— Ancient Primordial, Duke of Hell, Dragon/Vampire/Daemon class. Malprg, King Acheron.

Faces full of surprise appeared on the girls' faces, especially Mumei's, "Acheron" is the name of the river of the underworld.

— You heard me two days ago; I don't plan to be soft on any of you.

Over his head his horns ended up appearing, only to have his arms covered by chains. Mumei and the girls knew Alvis was serious.

— Do your worst! Let's see who will become the prey!

Back to the present, Yagoo together with Yanagi were watching how in the video the girls were trying to outwit Alvis and that dragon.

Alvis stopped the video for a moment, causing Yanagi and Yagoo to be puzzled by his attitude, seeing how he brought it forward to the next day.

— Why did you bring it forward?

Yagoo asked the demon, only for him to think for a moment.

— Mm... I wouldn't want to ruin a certain surprise.

The two CEOs looked at each other and put that aside to focus on the rest of the video.

In the video it could be seen that Sana was fighting against the dragon, it is worth noting that Sana had to increase her size to be even against the monster, but she had a small problem.

"Scarlet Feast" hybrid vampire butterfly, its main function is to serve Malprg, stealing the energy as well as the life of its prey. Since Malprg is being used by Alvis, he is strictly forbidden to drain the life from Sana, Mumei and Gura.

— Mumei! I need help with the butterflies.

Sana was asking for help from her partner who seemed to be busy with Alvis.

— I know, I'm going to...

A strong blow hit Mumei's stomach, who was distracted only for a couple of seconds.

— I said! Don't get distracted!

Who came out of a smoke screen, commented those words to Mumei, who tried to want to recover from the blow.

Gura, on the other hand, was trying to free himself from Alvis' chains, which were tangled around his body. It didn't help her at all that her Dainsleif was at the feet of Alvis, who was holding the rest of the chains that were binding her.

An expression of disappointment took shape on Alvis, the demon knew this feeling, knew it wasn't his. But, somehow, it was a reflection of his true nature.

He was just a demon who was only interested in fighting, killing and eating. A cycle that all demons in his universe have.

But...

The sound of a blizzard brought him out of his own thoughts, he dodged the huge Dragon that was thrown in his direction. A small smile was placed on Alvis' face as he saw this, he fixed his gaze in the direction of Sana, who was still among the "Scarlet Feast" but standing her ground, even though her energy was being drained from her.

Her smile grew again, releasing Gura from her grip, approaching Mumei placing a hand on her head.

— That's fine for today.

Mumei, Sana and Gura's faces showed confusion, she didn't understand why this was happening. When Alvis himself had said that they would stay here until they saw their handling of the Dainsleifs.

— How nice... I'm knackered.

Gura was the first to speak, before she felt a certain shiver behind her back. Behind her, there was an Alvis smiling in a friendly manner.

—I just hope they're ready for tomorrow.

The Murakumo ceo and Hololive turned to look at each other's faces, only to stop the video again and look at the demon in front of them.

— Won't you guys still be watching the video?

Alvis stared at both executives who looked at the somewhat innocent look on Alvis' face. If there was one thing Khan said about Alvis to both of them, it was that he enjoyed a good workout.

And by that he meant pushing the limits of their bodies.

— I think that was good enough.

Yanagi commented this while looking at the demon, who was looking for the next training group.

— Well, anyway, Agaliarep's group won't be ready for THAT.

These were the words of Alvis, who spoke between his thoughts, just to put the next combat live.

Ceres Fauna, Lynn McDowell and Rex vs Hakoz Baelz, Ninomae Ina'nis and Kiara Takanashi.

Boom! Crash!

The sound of crashing punches made their presence felt in front of a stage surrounded by the huge ocean. On that stage were Rex and Baelz hitting each other with everything they had.

— That's all Lycanthrope.

The incarnation of chaos was removing a bit of blood that was coming out of his nose, only to look at Rex. Who was tired and badly beaten, the two were currently testing the strength and destructive capacity of their new weapons.

But there was a small snag.

— I think I'm already at my limit.

Rex ended up spitting a small stream of blood from his mouth, Baelz understood what he was referring to, even she was feeling dizzy.

Each of the people who were given a dainsleif had only a limit of 10 to 20 minutes to use them. Once their body could no longer withstand the pressure, that's when the weapon would do its job.

— We must take a short break.... Argh!

The lycanthrope didn't finish his sentence as he saw how he received a blow from Baelz that threw him out of the arena.

— Witness this!!!

Those were the words of Hakoz who seemed to enjoy the moment, Rex who came back to himself just trying to avoid falling into the water.

— No! No! LYNN! FAUNA!

Listening to Rex, Lynn decided to use her bow to create a fishing net with mana impregnated in it. Fauna, on the other hand, used her grimoire to prevent Rex from falling into the water.

— Thank you...

— No time to thank Rex! Move it!

In less than a second, Rex moved away from the net that was created by Lynn, only to return to the scene from before. A snake made of water destroyed it at the very moment Rex heard the warning.

— I thought we had lost them.

Kiara began to speak while floating in the air, thanks to a spell used by Ina, Lynn and Fauna felt cornered at the sight of them.

— Shit, I must help them...

— Of course not!

Baelz got in Rex's way, who was gritting his teeth as he felt cornered like his companions.

Alvis who was watching the fight from the recording let out a heavy sigh, Yagoo noticed this so he decided to stay out of the conversation.

— Time out you guys. Go back, take a break.

Alvis' voice was heard throughout the simulation, relieving most of those present except for Baelz, who did not enjoy those words at all.

They returned to the room, only for their respective executives to see how they were covered in sweat, dust and wounds all over.

— Go take a shower, and rest with the rest.

Alvis ordered them to do so, which annoyed some of them a little, although his gaze was only focused on two people in the group.

Without protesting the group left the place, leaving the three of them alone again.

— Their fight was quite short.

Yagoo commented to Alvis, who seemed to be looking at only two screens of the last remaining groups.

— Well, I'm trying to summarize everything for you guys. Since you were a bit busy with the Vshojo Ceo the other day.

That was his answer, only to open up a video of who Khan and Kronii might be.

— Are they...?

— Dancing?

Both Yanagi and Yagoo were asking themselves that question looking at the video, Alvis for his part, showed a face of not knowing what was going on between those two.

— To tell you the truth... I don't have the slightest idea.

While they watched the digital screen, with the two hosts of the show. Khan and Kronii were dancing to the tango.

One step after the other, the two were in a synchrony that seemed unparalleled, in a brief moment the two moved away from each other, only to start circling around their partner several times.

Without Kronii who would end up dragging Khan towards her, taking several steps backwards, only for the man to glance away. Turning to hold hands again to continue the dance.

— Wow, how scary, someone wants to take the lead in the dance.

They paused for a brief moment only to bring their faces close together, to the point where their noses brushed.

— Stop joking around. You said you'd teach me how to use that power of yours.

They began to twirl around each other, only to end their little dance with Kronii holding Khan by the waist while leaning back a little, at a slight distance from Kronii's face.

— Wow, you really are a sweetheart.

Kronii just rolled her eyes at his comment, only to help him stand up straight and continue what they were originally doing.

— Let me get this straight. You want me to show you how to see the other lines of this universe.

What they originally planned to do, was that Khan would show Kronii how to view the various alternate universes or alternate realities of universe number 1610.

— Exactly.

Kronii answered his question, only to earn a somewhat dubious look from the observer.

— By logic you should be able to do it.

— And who says so?

— All the time gods, or in your terms, all the time keepers I know.

Kronii decided to keep quiet, since in a way he was right, so she just followed his action and decided to sit on the ground just as Khan did.

— Give me your hand.

Khan held out his hand to Kronii who seemed to look at him with distrust, a strange look took shape on the man's face with the woman's action.

— Oh, come on, I can come from another world and be suspicious. But if I wanted to stab them, I would have done it a long time ago.

His comment made Kronii alert, but he stopped when he saw the melancholy expression on her face.

— I know you're all upset with me for hiding so much. This was supposed to be MY job, not yours.

Kronii mimicked his action and continued to listen to him in silence.

— I wasn't mad at William for what he did days ago.

Kronii hesitated for a second to say anything back to him, however, she finally mustered up the courage to tell him the following.

— If you weren't angry, why that look on your face.

Khan looked at her with surprise only to blurt out a comment.

— What a surprise, I thought you didn't care after you tried to kill him several times.

— You...!? And how the hell do you know that?

They both went chibi for a second, while Khan watched her with a poker face.

— I remind you that my job is to observe practically everything in this or other universes, I can know about past, present and future events if I wanted to.

Was his answer, only for Kronii to remember the talk that happened between all of them, about these people called "observers".

— I forgot about that.

Kronii commented, remembering the talk of a few days ago, only to earn a disappointed look from Khan.

— You're the weirdest time keeper I've ever met.

— Just shut your mouth.

Khan again extended his hand in Kronii's direction, who seemed to think about it for a second, in the end, opting to hold his hand.

— I hope this isn't another one of your tricks.

— I have never told lies.

The guardian of time looked at him with suspicion, although she had heard that he is a mysterious person and that he does not usually tell lies at all. There is no doubt that keeping secrets is worse than lying.

— Well, he began, we will do something simpler. You'll try to find some memory of you, I'll do the same, so you won't have to be so suspicious of my credibility.

— Sounds good.

They fell into a brief silence again; a blizzard of air was beginning to form around them. Shards of glass were visible among it, containing memories of Kronii as well as Khan.

— That-that's suicide!

Kronii frowned slightly as she heard a voice in the air, she remembered it clearly. It was Amelia Watson's voice, she sounded worried.

— Just do what I tell you before I lose control!

Another voice was heard all over the place, this time, it was William Bismarck's, Kronii was realizing that these voices were the same as when she fought the two.

She decided to open her eyes, for a second, only to see Khan with his eyes closed concentrating on keeping up with the memories.

— Kronii close your eyes please.

The man mentioned this to her, only to earn a somewhat curious look from the time keeper.

— Why...?

The time guardian closed her mouth for a brief moment, only to stare at a particular memory.

That memory was not hers, so she could deduce that it belonged to Khan. For there were many people in that memory that she did not know, but one of them stood out, it was a man with brown hair.

Why... WHY DID YOU LET HIM TAKE MY PLACE?!

Kronii was surprised, since that voice belonged to Alvis, but the appearance he had was not his. She could see how in the memory Alvis grabbed Khan by the neck, while he looked at him with sadness and pain in his own eyes.

Actually that "Khan Crowe" of that memory was the same one that was in front of her.

I'm sorry Alvis, Matthew chose to save you under his own decision.

- DON'T CALL ME BY MY NAME AGAIN! I KNEW I COULDN'T TRUST YOU! NONE OF YOU OBSERVERS!

Kronii could see that the rest of the people who were the rest of the watchers, apart from Khan, did not say a single word to what appeared to be "Alvis".

Sorry Al-

Khan tried to bring his hand close to Alvis', only for Alvis to hit him hard in the face, sending him rolling on the floor.

I said don't call me by my name again! I don't want to see your dirty face near me!

The hatred and resentment in Alvis' eyes could be seen for miles, but this left Kronii with many doubts, especially, who took the place of "Alvis".

Will he be the original owner of the body he is using?

Chomp!

A loud bang on her head brought her back to reality.

— Gwak!

Khan ended up hitting her lightly on the head, causing her to put her hands on her head.

— I told you not to open your eyes.

— You didn't have to hit me.

The two of them looked at each other with unfriendly faces, electric sparks crossing between them, which was seen from the screen that was transmitting them.

Yagoo, Yanagi and Alvis looked at the scene a little confused, seeing the reactions of both of them, it was very clear that they were annoyed with each other.

— I forgot that we can't listen to their conversations.

Yagoo commented that remembering the words that Alvis had given at the beginning of the training.

— ... It doesn't matter much.

Alvis rolled his eyes knowing exactly what was going on, his face showed some annoyance looking at the screen of those.

Back to both of them.

— Who was Matthew?

Kronii asked Khan after a few moments of awkward silence between the two, for one thing, the Xenonian was debating whether to answer him or not.

For this was something he should "NOT" answer.

— His name is Matthew; Matthew Campbell was his full name.

Kronii noticed the same expression of pain along with sadness in his eyes, she noticed that this person was very close to both him and Alvis.

But...

— You said his name was Matthew, right?

— I did.

Khan changed his expression once he heard Kronii's question, who seemed to have some doubts.

— I always found it strange that the names Alvis Corvidius and Asher Corvidalus were so similar, not to mention that they both carry the title "Chained Demon".

— I know, I had that feeling when I first met William. He reminded me of them, but Matthew is dead and Alvis swore never to see my face again.

Khan stood for a brief moment thinking what would come out of his mouth next, even though, Kronii already knows the answer to what he is about to say.

— I never heard the name "William Bismarck". While traveling through other universes similar to this one.

There was the answer to his doubt, yet he found it strange that Khan wanted to talk about it now.

— An anomaly... I guess William gets enough attention without the need to have the Gamut.

Kronii stared at Khan for a second, although he seemed to be talking to himself, he could tell from his eyes that this was not the case.

— What are you watching?

— The others training.

Kronii raised an eyebrow at his comment, Khan only sighed for a moment. Giving up on trying to gain the time keeper's trust.

— Well, less talk, you better start mastering this power or you'll never be able to use the scissors.

— What's so special about those scissors?

— They can cut time.

His comment was simple, leaving Kronii completely surprised, Khan ignored her face only to return to concentrate on the memory pond.

Returning to Yagoo and the rest, they stood contemplating the last of the couples, the latter being Yuliana and William.

Currently the two were in the middle of their training, or so it seemed.

— How long will we continue with this?

William asked this question to Yuliana, who was imitating his action.

— Do you remember the demon's words?

Yuliana opened one of her eyes to look at William, who remembered Alvis' words. If his memory was correct, Alvis mentioned that their training would begin once the special Gamut made an appearance.

But they had been in this mirror dimension for two days, and only managed to meditate to kill time.

— Any luck for Asher?

William was talking to his demon, who showed up at his side, to shake his head at him, a heavy sigh came out of his mouth.

— Again...

Young Bismarck felt tired of continuing to try to search for the Gamut within his inner world. Try as he might, it was as if the Gamut was hiding in the depths of his head.

— ...

Although what kept him most in doubt and confused. It was that for several days he had been having visions of someone's memories.

Since about two days before, he had been having visions about Alvis Corvidius' past, maybe it was due to the "blood bond", at most his recent memory was one where Alvis was arguing with Khan about "why he let him take his place".

It was clear that the appearance Alvis wore in that memory was not his own, which left William with only one conclusion. The appearance in that memory was of Alvis' host.

— I wonder why he makes me see those memories.

William ended up speaking out loud calling Yuliana's attention, who caught what he meant by that.

— You keep seeing memories that are not yours.

Yuliana blurted out that comment surprising William a little.

— Yes...

— ...

The two of them remained in an uncomfortable silence again, it was the first time they tried to talk to each other without the need to have the others with them.

For the two of them, it was rather awkward to be paired up. Yuliana found this complicated, especially since it was the first time she had interacted with William alone.

For his part, William felt the same way, it was awkward, yet he tried to be as cordial as possible in front of her.

— Anyway, I think I know a way you can get to the Gamut.

Yuliana chose to be the first to speak, breaking in that same process, the uncomfortable silence that reigned between them, this ended up catching William's attention.

— Really?

— Yes, but that implies you getting into the memories.

William showed confusion on his face, Yuliana kept looking at him in an understanding way that he did not know this "detail".

— What I mean is that you must force him out.

— How?

— I don't know how to explain it, in a simple way.

She thought for a second, then said the following.

— Find the painful memory of "that person" and you will find the Gamut.

William was a bit taken aback at her answer, "his most painful memory", he knew nothing about the Alvis. And while, he was uncomfortable looking at some of Alvis' memories, perhaps this would give him a better view of him.

And it would most likely make them understand him better so they could work together in the future.

— Okay, I'll try.

Yuliana ended up smiling at him in a friendly way, which William found strange.

— Be careful.

William could only nod at her comment, to give a small sigh, he ended up closing his eyes trying to relax and completely forget about his surroundings.

For a few moments he was silent, until he heard the sound of something falling to the ground.

He opened his eyes only to find himself in the middle of an unknown forest, it was foggy and most of the trees and surroundings were destroyed.

— I guess we are inside another memory.

Asher appeared next to William, who could hear the rain falling on this forest.

— This means that Alvis Corvidius is nearby.

William didn't finish his sentence when he saw something pass in front of his eyes at full speed.

BOOM! CRASH!

A huge path of destruction opened in front of the eyes of Asher and William who were impressed by the force exerted.

— What the hell was that...

William mentioned those words looking in the direction the projectile was thrown, only to see the body of something or someone at the end.

— Bismarck, look at that.

Asher pulled William out of his thoughts, who looked at the end of the road, only to find a boy of about 10-11 years old, what caught his attention was his hair color, it was divided between black and white. Not to mention the reddish black horns and chains of the same color.

— That must be Alvis Corvidius.

Asher commented those words, looking at the boy, who was struggling to get up. William wanted to say something, only to freeze for a second.

— Bismarck what's wrong? .... ¡¿...?!

Asher turned around for a second, only to freeze in place.

*Step* *Step* *Step*

The sound of wet grass could be heard all over the place, a hooded figure in black was approaching the place, the animals, young Alvis, and even William and Asher showed fear at his presence.

— ...

Said figure stopped for a second, staying right next to where Asher and William were.

— It must be a joke...

Asher managed to articulate, looking at that hooded silhouette, which had its gaze on the young boy.

— What the hell... It's this thing....

What was in front of Asher, was someone who reflected darkness, a kind of bottomless abyss in which many souls in sorrow wished to get away.

"Death."

Was what was written on the soul of this crimson-eyed hooded figure.
