Tae ❤️: See you in a bit! The cafe on the corner, right?

The simple text message sent a wave of shivers through Jungkook's entire body. To say that he was nervous would be an understatement to what he's actually feeling at the moment. If he was being completely honest, he felt like his heart was beating so hard that it fell into the dark pit of his stomach. Now it's just thumping there obnoxiously, without any mercy, making him even a tad nauseous.

He couldn't help but feel sick at the thought of what was going to happen today.

Because today was the day.

The brunette scrambled out of bed after sending a quick reply. He had agreed to meet the older male in about an hour for breakfast and he hasn't even showered yet. With a messy bed head, Jungkook scurried over to the bathroom across the hall.

After taking the quickest shower he was capable of, he returned to his bedroom and ransacked his closet for a presentable enough outfit. It needed to be casual, but something that could be remembered. He didn't want to over do it either, so nothing too flashy.

He finally settled for a basic pair of skinny jeans with a few rips down the legs and white t-shirt. There was a slight breeze today, so he wore a black windbreaker over the outfit and a pair of Timberland boots.

He scanned his whole attire in the mirror and figured that it would have to do. He didn't have that much of a selection anyways.

As soon as he arrived, he ordered himself a coffee and a basic bagel with cream cheese. He settled himself into one of the empty tables for two and that's when the nerves slapped him all over again.

Jungkook was finally going to do it. He's finally going to tell Kim Taehyung how he feels about him. The timing is probably not ideal, considering all of the issues with Jimin, but he couldn't stand to hold it in any longer.

He only had to wait another five minutes before a very familiar, tall figure with an extraordinarily handsome face entered the cafe, flashing a glimpse of his rectangular smile as soon as he spotted the younger.

Taehyung approached the counter at the front, relaying his own order before making his way toward Jungkook.

Meanwhile, Jungkook was in the process of trying to conceal the darkening blush on his face by covering his cheeks with the sleeves of his jacket, but he wasn't sure how productive it was. As Taehyung seated himself in front of him, wearing another wide grin that showed a majority of his teeth, Jungkook knew he was a goner.

"Hey Kookie!" Taehyung greeted cheerfully.

Jungkook had to remind himself to act casual. "H-hey T-tae" he stuttered out, a forced grin following afterwards.

Real smooth, Kook. He scolded himself internally.

Before either could say anything more, one of the cafe employees brought their orders to the table, thankfully alleviating the awkward moment for Jungkook.

They sipped on their steaming mugs of coffee and hot chocolate quietly for a moment, just enjoying one another's company. Jungkook didn't want to confess right away. He thought it would be better to ease into it, to let it come out more naturally. Because there was no easy way to tell your best friend's boyfriend that he's in love with him.

So he decided to start with, "How are you? What have you been up to lately?" It was a simple, but serviceable icebreaker. It got them talking.

"Well, you know me. I'm mostly working as usual. Dad has me running our next promotional campaign, and it's stressful, takes up a lot of my time. But it's a really big opportunity for me, you know? So I want to do well."

Jungkook nodded his head as he listened to every word from the older. Taehyung has always been very honest with Jungkook about how he was feeling about life, whether he was incredibly happy or stressed. He was an open book and it was refreshing. It made Jungkook feel trusted.

"How are things with Jimin?" the younger asked, keeping his voice sympathetic and his gaze downwards.

He knew it was odd to be asking Taehyung about his current boyfriend before he's planning to confess to the man, but last time they spoke about it, things weren't looking too good. That gave Jungkook the bit of hope he needed.

Taehyung reflexively scratched the back of his head and sighed when Jimin was brought up. Their relationship was complicated at the moment, but there were some new changes in place.

"Ah, me and Jiminie..." he paused and let out another sigh, clearly contemplating his words. "We haven't been doing so great ever since the fight, but he finally reached out to me."

Jungkook looked up at that, meeting Taehyung's eyes and hoping that his shock wasn't too apparent. "Oh, really?" He tried to sound as neutral as possible.

"Yeah, he actually came over and we talked for a little while." Taehyung decided to not include the part where Jimin proposed that they actually break up. It didn't seem necessary. "We talked about ways to make things better... and I asked him to move in with me."

The color in Jungkook's face drained into a solid white. He's hoping that he just heard the other incorrectly, that he didn't just hear him say that he asked Jimin to live with him. "W-what?"

"Yup," he popped the 'p' at the end, "I figured that it would help with some of our problems. He's right. I have been neglecting him, so this will allow us to spend more time with one another."

"And what did he say?" Jungkook knew that he probably sounded a little too invested, but truthfully, he was. His best friend may be moving in with the man he's supposed to be confessing his love to!

The older furrowed his brows a bit, but shook his head, like he was clearing some of his thoughts. "Well, it took some time for him to decipher and a little bit of convincing from me, but ultimately, he agreed." Taehyung was beaming as he said this. Again, he didn't think it was necessary to include that there were other parties involved in the decision process. Those were just logistics. "He'll be moving his things in on Saturday!"

Jungkook gulped at that.

Suddenly, he felt dizzy. It was as though the room was spinning around them, and he and Taehyung were the only things stable, motionless. He could feel his hands getting clammy and sweat started to dot his hairline.

Taehyung had looked so excited when he announced it too, which made Jungkook feel even worse. It made him feel guilty because he knew things that the older didn't. He knew things about Jimin that Taehyung didn't.

He knew that Jimin has cheated on Taehyung, and from the way his supposed best friend has been acting lately, it's been multiple offenses.

But how could he go against Jimin that way? It wasn't his place to tell the other, and if he did, Jimin would probably hate him forever.

But as he gazed across the table and saw how genuinely happy the other was, how beautifully he smiled when thinking about his lover, Jungkook couldn't help but think of how unfair the world was at times. Everything he wanted was in another man's undeserving hands.

The gorgeous man in front of him didn't deserve to be cheated on. He deserved to be loved, and he couldn't stand to watch Taehyung move forward with Jimin without him knowing the truth. He had to tell him.

"Taehyung...," he timidly spoke up and Taehyung raised an eyebrow at Jungkook's serious tone, "I need to tell you something about Jimin..."

Obvious confusion spread across the older's face, but he stayed silent to let the younger continue.

"I wasn't originally going to tell you this because it wasn't my place, but if it's about your relationship, I think you shou-"

Suddenly, the basic Iphone ringtone started blaring from Taehyung's pocket, interrupting their conversation. "Hold that thought for just a second," he stated while fishing his cellphone from his pocket.

The timing was imperfect, but Jungkook waited patiently, only catching the minimal responses from Taehyung's side of the call. It was evident that Taehyung had somewhere he needed to be.

Once he hung up the call, Taehyung looked at Jungkook apologetically. "I'm so sorry, but I have to go. They just sprung a meeting on me. You can just tell me next time, okay?" He sprung up to his feet, and finished the last gulp of his hot chocolate.

The younger held up a hand to try and stop him, but it was useless when Taehyung didn't seem to notice. Before he knew it, Taehyung had scurried out of the door, making the small bell jingle as it swung open and closed behind him.

----------

As he typically does when he's mentally struggling with something, Jimin winds up in the dance studio an hour before class starts. He's in the middle of an intricate choreography that he's been personally working on, one that may be impossible for him to master any time soon and he knows it.

But focusing on the routine is much more convenient for him, than what's actually circulating and consuming his mind lately.

He would rather put all of his strength into his spins and kicks than anything else. He would rather put all of his focus on each smooth movement in his routine than anything else... or someone else. He would rather pour his heart into his dance than outwardly confess what's really eating away at him.

As he watches himself in the mirror, rather than seeing an elegant contemporary dancer, all he sees, is a monster. He's a useless, unambitious, cheating, stupid monster.

When Jimin had gone over to Taehyung's, he wanted to break things off fairly between the two. He wanted to give Taehyung the chance to meet someone better than him, maybe someone he could love even more than he's said to love Jimin. He didn't want to cheat anymore and he didn't want them both to be fighting for a love that didn't exist anymore.

He was tired.

But he's realized that his relationship has never been his own or their own. Taehyung and Jimin were not the ones to decide to start dating, even if they willingly got together. They weren't the ones to decide whether it was over or not. They never had been.

And for some reason, it had taken Jimin this long to fully understand that.

Then there was another issue that was just as pressing as the last.

Min Yoongi.

What had initially started as a one night stand, had turned into an affair that stood on the understanding that it was only to ever be sex. They never fully discussed that verbally amongst themselves, but it was an unspoken assumption.

Feelings were never supposed to be involved. It didn't make any sense. The man was married to his mother for fucks sake, so he knows he must be screwing her too.

Jimin could see his face cringe in the mirror at the thought, unfitting with the beautiful music, and it wouldn't be the first time he's almost made himself sick when the horrid thought presents itself. And he finds himself disgusting.

So why does his heart skip a beat when the older man crosses his mind? Why does he feel himself grow excited at a simple text message from him? Why does he feel so at home when laying in Yoongi's arms after a longer round?

Why is the main reason he doesn't want to move in with his supposed boyfriend centered around Min Yoongi?

"Wow, Jimin-ah!" Hoseok whistled, following with a slow clap.

Jimin startles at the loudness of the male, but soon relaxes when he realizes it's his friend. He then frowns because the older interrupted his practice and concentration... and his continuous thinking, which probably isn't a bad thing.

"You've improved a lot," Hoseok points out as he plops down next to Jimin on the floor to start their stretches, "But the way you were moving... you look almost... sad."

Jimin scoffed at that remark, but it's probably true. Though he uses dance as an escape, he knows he's really just personifying his emotions through his body. He's not hiding anything. "I have a lot on my mind lately." That's all he decides to say, and luckily Hoseok isn't the type to press him.

Instead, Hoseok changes the topic to brighten the mood. "I feel like you could use some cheering up, so how would you like to come to work with me?"

The younger raises an eyebrow. "You've not been willing to tell me about your job since I've met you. Why the change of heart?" Jimin was very curious about the older's occupation, but he was a little skeptical of his sudden motives.

Hoseok chuckled, so his heart-shaped smile widened. "Like I said, I think you're in need of a good time and I think we're close enough to reveal some of our dark secrets."

Jimin gets what he's saying. If Hoseok is willing to show a part of himself that he's kept hidden, then Jimin should feel comfortable enough to open up to the older if he needs it. If things keep going downhill as they are, he might need someone.

"So how about sometime this week?" Hoseok suggests.

The younger contemplates for a moment, but shakes his head. He's moving in with Taehyung this weekend and figures he should try to settle in for the remainder of the week. "How about next week?"

"It's a date." Hoseok winks before focusing on his stretches again.

Finally we got a little bit of Taekook! Do you think Jungkook should tell Taehyung the truth about Jimin? How will Taehyung react?

I hope you guys liked it! As always, please let me know what you think by commenting and voting!

While Jimin was dancing, I don't know about you guys, but I pictured him dancing to Black Swan. I feel like the themes fit with it. Black Swan has been the perfect song for me to listen to when my mind is a mess like it has been lately. How are you all holding up with everything?
