CHAPTER EIGHT

CHAPTER EIGHT:

8 MONTHS LATER

CADEN DESANTOS WAS AT THE WYTE WYRM, relaxing after a day off from Pop's. It was relaxing, being somewhere else. It was rare for the young woman to be elsewhere– it was even strange for her to be at home with her mom and young brother.

"How much do you make here?" Caden asked Aida, her friend who was the bartender, lazily leaning back against her chair. It had been months now since she and Forsythe Jones had made up and she was a regular at the bar. They were on the Southside where rules didn't matter, for the most part.

"More than a hundred a night," Aida told the younger woman who became a close friend. "Not as much as them, but, still decent."

Aida had directed her words to the strippers that occupied the Center stage and Caden watched, jealous at the beautiful woman who had captured the attention of the males in the room. It was a Friday night, when the strippers came out. It was incredible to watch and Caden was always there, wondering if she could ever look as good as they did.

Caden was waiting for FP, realising that the man who owned the bar had business to do. She sipped lazily on her beer, her eyes drinking in the scantily dressed woman.

She was observing the woman when she noticed FP on the balcony, looking around until his eyes found hers. She smirked at him as she watched him slowly make his way down the stairs and walk to her.

"Hey," FP mumbled against her lips in greeting. Caden pulled back with a lazy grin, relishing in the feel of his lips against hers. She could never tire from them.

"Hey," Caden replied as the older man sat down beside her on a stool. Aida had already left as soon as he approached, knowing that the two would want to be alone. Especially since FP was her boss, the bartender thought it was strange to hang out with Caden in front of him. "I've missed you," Caden told him cheekily. It had been a week since the two had been together, both too busy with work to manage to see one another.

"I've missed you too," FP told her honestly with a smile. He pulled the beer bottle out of Caden's hand and raised it to his lips. As the cold alcoholic beverage poured down his throat, he hummed in contentment. "What were you two talking about?" FP asked his girlfriend.

FP and Caden hadn't been official for long, they had known each other for a whole year, and eight months ago was when Gladys found out about the affair. Two months after that, Caden and Forsythe had reconciled and began to date. FP had managed to divorce Gladys quietly during the months as well.

"I was asking Aida how much she made here." Caden told him honestly, watching the dancers from afar. "And how much the strippers made."

FP nodded his head in understanding, "we do get a pretty big crowd out here on Friday nights." The two watched as the crowds slowly dispersed, leaving a few stragglers begging for more dancing or gulping down another beer.

Caden moved out of her bar seat to stand against FP, leaning in between his thighs to let her hands run over his clothed chest.

"What would you do," Caden whispered in Forsythe's ear, happy as he shuddered under her touch. She planted a kiss on the shell of his ear, proud to get that sort of reaction from the older man. "If I were to dance on that pole for you?"

A beat of silence barely passed between the two of them when FP glanced down at his watch and turned away from Caden.

"Bar's closed," Forsythe hollered out loud to the remaining individuals who were too drunk to realise it was time to leave. "Everyone out!"

Maybe it was Caden's words that incensed Forsythe to kick everyone out, but the young woman smirked deviously.

Forsythe let the music play loudly from the speakers as he locked the front door shut, turning back to Caden with a smirk. He sauntered back into the room and sat on a chair where the men previously had greedily watched the dancers.

Caden wasn't nervous as she took a spot on the stage in front of FP. Even with the alcohol running through her veins, she was confident– she wasn't ashamed to stand there in front of her boyfriend, half-naked.

She was wearing a black dress tonight with FP's signature Southside Serpents jacket on her. She wasn't wearing heels sadly, feet encased in a pair of converse. She whirled around the stripper pole with a light laugh before she turned to face the stare of her lover.

Forsythe was looking at the young girl with an intense gaze, his eyes dark with lust. Caden continued to dance around the pole, slowly unzipping her dress until she was left in her underwear.

Although Caden wanted to continue teasing FP, she also wanted to kiss him. So, she crooked a finger at him, motioning for him to join her on the stage. FP smirked and shook his head, patting his lap. He wanted her on top of him.

Caden complied to Forsythe's demands, stepping down the stage slowly until she was in between his legs.

A moan flew from her mouth as the rough fabric of Forsythe's jeans rubbed against her bare skin. Her hands grasped desperately at his jacket, wanting to keep the distance between them minimal.

FP planted wet open mouth kisses down the expanse of Caden's neck, continuing his way down until he was at her bra.

Caden was in for a long night.
