"Thanks, Sero. Sorry for bothering you!"

"No problem, Midoriya!"

Midoriya waved, and closed Sero's door with a sigh. All the fuss he had went through just to return a pen; he couldn't remember where Sero's dorm was so he ended up invading Ojiro and Bakugou's dorms by mistake (almost having his face blown off in the process), nearly getting lost in the building multiple times (he still desperately needed to get used to the building's layout), before finally finding Sero's room, only for Sero not to be in at that moment. He had to wait quite a while until Sero came back to actually return the pen. And honestly, Sero had forgotten that he even gave Midoriya a pen, but felt bad for putting him through the trouble and took it back anyway.

Long story short, Deku's a persistent little shit.

And, with that task fulfilled, Midoriya was ready to march right back to his dorm and slam his face into his pillow, however something peculiar grabbed his attention.

From the dorm right beside Sero's, he could hear muffled singing. Initially, he thought maybe it could be Sero playing music, but it wasn't coming from a radio or any device. The voice sounded familiar, and listening a bit closer...

'...Is that Todoroki?'

And, sure enough, putting his ear to the wall, he could hear Todoroki singing a song in that clear, smooth voice that Deku had come to appreciate so much. But what was he singing, exactly...? Listening closer...

"--re they walk, up where they run, up where they stay all day in the sun, wandering free, wish I could be, part of that world..."

Midoriya choked. Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid...?! Why that song, of all songs?

He hesitantly grabbed the doorknob, pushing the door open just a bit... He hated to invade people's privacy, but he had to see this.

"What would I give, if I could live out of these waters?"

Todoroki twirled, hands intertwined at his chest, looking longingly up to the ceiling,

"What would I pay, to spend a day warm on the sand?"

His hands dropped to his sides.

"Betcha on land, they understand that they don't reprimand their daughters..."

He seemed to glare coldly at the floor for a second, before looking up at the ceiling once again and clenching his fist.

"Great young women, sick of swimming, ready to sta--"

Midoriya finally threw the door open. Todoroki let out a very uncharacteristic yelp, stopping halfway through the note he was holding. "Todoroki?"

Todoroki blinked at him. His face flushed, redder than his left side. He played with his hands behind his back and cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure. "M... Midoriya," His voice cracked much more intensely than he had intended. "I got... I got carried away."

"The Little Mermaid, huh?" Midoriya cocked his head, the slightest smirk playing on his lips. "How come?"

Todoroki looked to the side, crossing his arms. Then, with a sigh, "...Daddy issues."
