Travon's POV

"Did you manage to figure out how the note reached my room?" I question, sitting in my chair, in my pack office.

"No, Alpha." Levi mumbles, I clench my fist in anger.

"Why not damnit!?! How is it possible that someone, a vampire to be specific enters my territory, gets inside my house and inside my f*cking room and leaves a note that clearly threatens my family? And all this is done whithout him being caught?!"

I question my betas and gamma who slightly trembled before me. I could feel my temper raising, this situation just felt so... Absurd.

My pack, the strongest and soon to be the largest was so unsafe and vunerable to our enemies. How can I protect the other packs if I can't even protect mine?

Pinching my nose I try to calm down but nothing works, "Send in the warriors who were patrolling the territory last night. And you all are dismissed."

Their eyes fixed on the floor with disappointment but nodding they leave. After sometime a knock echos on my office door, "Come in."

Two men and a built shewolf stood infront of me, heads held high. They greet me with respect then I start without delay, "You three were on duty last night?"

"Yes Alpha. We were patrolling till 5am, then switched." one of the male answers.

"Did you not smell a leech while patrolling?" I ask scrunching my nose with irritation.

"... A leech? As in a vampire?" the other guys say wide eyed. The three exchange weird looks then the shewolf speaks.

"I did, Alpha. But it was the faintest scent that I sniffed, so I thought it would have been from all the fights that happened weeks ago."

"You imbeciles! How can you be so lenient?! I will skin you al--"

Another soft knock echos but this time the scent that fills my nostrils relaxes me.

"Leave." I order the three, they walk away from my office quietly.

Hope walks inside still in her same clothes from training, so was I but she looked so much better.

I stand and walk up to her and just hug her tightly inhaling her scent.

"Are you alright?" she asks with concern laced in her voice.

"Now I am." I answer in a whisper rest my head on the crook of her neck, still holding her tightly. It was amazing how her scent calmed Tyler down in a second.

"Travon?"

"Hmm?"

"Is something wrong?"

"Mhmm." I shake my head lazily.

"I've noticed how stressed you've been since.. Since that attack."

I pull away from her and walk away towards my chair, "C'mere."

She does as I say, her eyes never leaving mine. I set her in my lap and snake my arms around her waist "It's nothing, Jewel. Nothing your superman can't handle."

She laughs lightly and I just love the sound of it, I could just listen to it all day. "Sure you can."

Placing a kiss on her cheek I close my eyes and rest my head on her shoulder while she played with my hair, "Travon, I found the note."

My body stiffens and eyes jerk open, I look at her and she looked kind of sad. I sigh heavily, "I didn't want you worrying, not after all you've been through."

"You should have told me, Travon. I can handle it, I am capable enough; you said it yourself. How do you expect me to trust you if you hide things from me?"

"I'm sorry-- I should have told you, I promise no more secrets."

That's when she eyes wander into space and lips tremble, "T-travon?"

"Yeah?"

"I-I umm.. I have to tell you something." her eyes fill up with tears and I was worried. It broke my heart to see anyone cry, tears are unspoken words. Words of emotions that cannot be expressed.

"Hey-- hey, baby. Look at me," I lift her chin so I can see her eyes, "you don't need to tell me anything you're not ready to, okay? Take your time."

I place a soft kiss on her lips as she nods and blinks away her tears, "L-let's go?"

I smile and lifting her I make my way towards the packhouse, "You know I can walk."

"I know but I can feel your exhaustion through the bond. You're not much of a athlete, are you?" I tease her, she smirks.

"You haven't seen anything yet, Alpha." she winks making me drool.

"Care to show me?"

"With pleasure," I could see mischief in her eyes, "as soon as you take a shower. You stink!"

Placing down as we reach our room, I rub my body on her small one making her shriek.

"Yuckk!! Stopppp! Pleaseee! I think I'm gonna die," she screams giggling.

Pulling her close I kiss her hungrily, "You still taste good."

She deepens the kiss, I was about to wrap her legs around my waist when pushes me away making me growl, "Sweet revenge." with that she isolates me, walking into the bathroom.

I huff like a kid as I place myself on the floor, I hear the shower turn on. My mind keeps drifting off to how she looked like under the shower, I have the urge to join her but I don't want to rush her into anything. So instead of joining her I decide to call Levi, he's the best when it comes to investigating.

I need him to find out how a vampire entered my territory without my permission. A smile immediately forms on my face as I unlock my fone, my wallpaper; was of my Jewel and my twins. I took it last night, they looked so peaceful. But then the thought of Mika lurking in this room while they were asleep angered me, I call Levi.

"Travon?"

"Yeah, it's me. I got a task for you."

"Lemme guess, it's about that leech?"

"Yeah--"

"Then don't worry, I'm already on it and I also got a lead. I will be gone to the city for a while..."

See what I'm talking about, he's fast alright. "Okay, but why do I have a feeling there's something else you're about to say?"

"Maybe cause I am, yeah... I uhh-- IamgoingtoMika'sPack."

"Huh?"

"I am going-- to Mika's Pack--"

"Are you insane?!" I scream at him from the other end of the fone. He sighs and I know he's rolling his eyes on me. "And don't you dare roll those eyes on me."

"Travon, I can handle myself. All I need is for you to cover for me, just tell everyone that I followed my mate to the city to win her over. If there's a spy in our pack, which I know is, he/she won't be suspicious. Werewolves going after their mates are normal, except in your case."

"What do you mean my case?"

"Come on, if I had found my mate I would've marked her that very second, forget mark; within the second month she would've been pregnant," he chuckles, I groan. It was true that it's been 2 months since Jewels been here and there's been nothing more than hugs, kisses, and fights.

"Stop changing the subject, Levi. You and I know how dangerous it is, you can't go there alone! Mika will tear you to pieces if he finds out.. It's too risky, even for you."

"Stop acting like my wife, Travon. Mika won't find out, that's the whole point of going undercover. I am the best option you have and you know it."

I massage my temples with worry, I don't want Levi to get in trouble. He is family and no family gets pushed into danger by me.

"C'mon Travon, you know I'm doing this for the twins. Mia was like-- no she was my baby sister and I want to protect the twins from any threats. I promised h-her that I would till the day I die... I will do anything to keep the people I love safe, won't you?"

I finally give in cause I knew no matter what I'd say Levi would still go. All I could do was warn him to be careful, order him to return back within a week and call me if there was any problem.

Hope walks out of the closet in a blue pyjamas and a black vest on. I grab my towel and go for a shower myself. I needed to clean-up and sleep to relax my mind too.

A few minutes later, I put a clean pair of boxers and join Hope who was sound asleep, pulling her closer to my chest, I inhale her scent before kissing her goodnight.

And Tyler happily whispers into her ears regardless of her sleeping, "Mine."
