Avni: CHUP!!! 

Neil immediately stopped blabbering and looked at her with Wide eyes. 

Avni: chatar pattar chattar pattar kare jaa rahe ho ruk hi nahi nahi rahe ho... chalta firta complaint register ho tum.. itni complaints to santacruz ke police station mein bhi nahi darz hongi jitni tum karte ho...  Kabhi adjust karna seekh lo.. arrogance ki factory.

She stood up and stomped away shutting the door of her room with a bang.

Neil flinched and looked on In fear. Was she seriously scolding him for being too fussy. Oh yeah she was. He gulped seeing her behave like this.

Neil: ajeeb ladki hai... maine to sirf sach hi kaha tha... mujhpe bhadak gyi.

He made an innocent pout and walked back to his room. 

These were just 2 days that went by still there are 19 more to go 🤭.

Following one week was not an easy one. The differences in their ways and takes on life stood as a major obstacle in between the idea of their friendship.

Neil loved loud music. Rock and Pop were definitely his things While Avni hated them. She liked soft and serene music while Neil slept hearing those tunes.

 Avni liked Indian food. Neil liked Chinese and Italian. Dinner time tussle is here again.

 Avni kept everything neat and clear while Neil... oh he was also clear... "A Clear Mess". He always ended up throwing things here and there leaving avni irritated yet again. Their production team stayed a bit far from them that was a good thing for them.

One day it was almost dinner time. Avni was in the kitchen making Indian food for themselves when Neil passed by.

Neil: mujhe aaj noodles khane hai.

Avni: (narrowing eyes at him) kya lagta hai yaha koi restaurant khula hai... Dekho jo bana hai chup chap kha lo.. dimaag kharab mat karo mera.

Neil: oh hello miss... Yeh har waqt yahi indian khana zaruri hai kya?

Avni: oh hello mister!! yeh har baar alag khane ki zid karna zaruri hai kya...

Neil: dekho tum...

Avni looked up from the chopping board. Neil took a deep breath and started.

Neil: main aaj nahi khaunga...

Avni: (mocking smile) very fine then bohut accha... 

Neil: (complaining like a child) yaar tum hamesha aisa hi karti ho...

Avni: Haan kyuki dimaag kharab hai na mera...

Neil: yaar.. mujhe rehna hi nahi hai yaha.. ja raha hoon main...

Avni: bye!! pahunch ke phone kar dena...

Neil walked out of the house taking his mask muttering somethings to himself only. 

Neil: (to himself) samajhti kya hai khud ko... jab dekho tab mujhpe chadti rehti hai... pagal kahi ki... ek to woh juhi aur ek yeh..

Juhi was Neil's co star for three movies. She loves to live in an imaginary world where all of the eligible bachelors especially Neil are in love with her. This morning, she had called Neil.

Flashback:

It was approximately 8 o clock in the morning when A Sleeping Neil is disturbed by a phone ring. Not paying any heed to see who it was he silenced it and continued dreaming. When the phone rang again within two minutes he groaned and answered it sleepily.

Juhi: hello Neil Main bol rahi hoon.

Neil: oh hello Ms. Bakri...

Juhi: what!! Neil main bol rahi hoon Main!!

Neil: haan.. to main bhi wahi keh raha hoon.. hello Ms. Bakri...

Juhi: Neil main Juhi!!

Neil: (giggles) what a co incidence!! bakri ka naam bhi Juhi hai... main bhi ek chuhi ko jaanta hoon uska naam bhi juhi hai.

Juhi: NEIL!!!

She almost screamed feeling insulted! Neil was comparing her to a Goat. 

(Me: actually it's the goat being compared to you 🤭)

Neil: (waking up with a jerk) haan kya hua kon hai?

Juhi: Neil..

Neil: oh hi juhi.. kaisi ho.

Juhi: main to theek hoon lekin tumhe kya hua? abhi tak so rahe the kya?

Neil:  haan woh thoda late oh gya tha kal raat.

Juhi: i know... you would be missing me right. Aur miss karte rahoge to neend kaise aayegi.

Neil felt like Puking his guts out right now! 

Neil: (coughs) What!! no ways... main kyu tumhe  yaad karne laga?

Juhi: come on Neil ab jab hum dono shadi karne wale hai to... (blushing)

Neil: shadi... kis bandar ne kaha hai tumse...

Juhi: Neil tum hi to the woh... yaad karo na... jab 'Main Tumhari Diwani' movie ka end hota hai tab tumne hi to mujhse kaha tha ki "mujhse shadi karogi?" to maine kaha tha "haa!!" 

He facepalmed himself hearing her stupid assertion.

Neil: are you mad or what? woh movie ka script tha...

Juhi: jaanti  hoon par kaha to tumne hi tha na... would be husband. (blushes)

Neil rolled his eyes at her stupidity. Being the daughter of the most richest bollywood producers she thinks way too high of herself. Its her dumb mind at fault right now.

Neil: Just shut up! mujhe phone karna band karo.. Koi rishta nahi hai humara aur na kabhi hoga...

He hung up the call  angrily. walking out of the room he started with daily routine.

He took a banana from the fruit basket, ate it and threw the skin on the table. Taking his phone he started watching his second favourite web series ( since the first one was already completed) **Long days of Lockdown!!** The volume was set to the topmost. 

Avni who was trying to meditate came out in her yoga outfit.

Avni: Neil...

He didn't listen her courtesy the earphones he was having. Even though the video played on the phone with no headphones attached He has his earphones on!!

Avni: NEIL!

She tried a bit louder this time but nothing happened. Taking a deep breath she walked close to her and pulled out his earphones.

Neil: Hey!! Sun raha hoon na main...

Avni: Ro rahi hoon Main... 

A/N: (The writer seems to have a huge obsession for this song!! 🤭🤭 "sun raha hai na tu... ro rahi hoon main!!" She always gets it into the dialogues! whether it is Hearts Connected or Daataan-e-Pyaar 😉)

Avni: itni tez volume!!

Neil: to mere kaano mein hai tumko kya?

Avni: (rolling her eyes) tumhare kaano mein.. yeah. 

She took the other end of the headphones and showed it to him. It was not even attached to the phone.

Neil: ooh.. Tabhi main sochu.. awaaz itni kam kyu aa rahi hai mujhe... Thanks.

He took the the plug and started to insert it back to the phone.

 Avni: Can you please just quit it.

Neil: why should i?

Avni:  because i'm trying to medidtate

Neil: then... (he looks around) main to couch pe baitha hoon... tumhare Yoga mat pe nahi.. Isliye.. go and mujhe sun ne do...

He plugged out the headphones and turned the volume to full.

Avni looks at him disbelief and walked to her room. But the volume was still too loud Interrupting in her meditation. She stood up and just walked to the bathroom taking a shower to calm her nerves.

Flashback ends.

Avni: (to herself) khadoos praniyon ka raja hai gadha... Pata nahi kyu phasi hoon main iske saath... 

She looks at the closed door.

Avni: pata nahi kaha gaya hoga.. bahar jaana safe nahi hai...

She thinks to go out and look for him but decided the other way

Avni: baccha to hai nahi ki ab main usko pakad ke rakhu.. bhaad mein jaaye... Jab mann karega to laut aayega..

She continued her work.

Neil Who had already walked out of the house had walking for about half an hour. He looked around himself. There was nothing. 

Neil: oh no... yeh kaha aagye hum!! Kaali raat hai andhera sa chaaya hai...

His hand gently patted his pocket to look for his phone. But it was not there.

Neil: shoot!!. mera phone bhi nahi hai mere paas...

He thinks.

Neil: wapis hi jata hoon... yaha rehne ka to koi maksad hai nahi.. kamse kam chhat to hai waha sir pe...

He started walking back to the house. He was somewhere in the midway when sharp light coming from the opposite stopped in front of him. He took his hands to shield his eyes.

It was car that stopped at  few feet away from him.

Neil: ab yeh kya musibat hai?
