Ashish had been giving instructions to one of the employees regarding the new project, when someone get in to his cabin. He looked up to the person and smiled, getting up from his seat and engulfed her in the hug. He told the employee to leave and he left from there.

Ashish: good morning princess

Yes the person was none other than Avni Mehta, Ashish Mehta's one and only daughter. Nothing matters to him except his beloved daughter's happiness. He could do anything for her. While avni was raised by him with so much love, attentiveness and affection. She had only her father in the name of family. Her mother died while giving birth to her, since then ashish's only existence to live had been avni. Avni was one of those girls who would get anything an instant anyone would thought of it. He left no stone unturned to fulfill her demands and was still doing it.

Avni: good morning dad. Why didn't you wake me up early today?

Ashish: you were looking so cute while sleeping and I didn't want to disturb you that's why.

Avni: hmm it's ok. What about HIM ? Is HE satisfied with this job?

Ashish: of course why would he be not? He looked so happy.

Avni smiled nodding her head and drifted back to the day when she had come to know about him.

Flashback:

Ashish was as usual had been busy with his work. He looked in grave rigidity and confusion regarding the choices of the new employees for the company. At that time avni came to him and frowned not receiving his attention.

Avni: dad what happened? Why you look so tensed?

That's when ashish noticed her. He Sighed and rubbed his forehead.

Ashish: it's so difficult to make choice between these people. They all are so good but we have to appoint some of very talented and hard working folk.

Avni: and you are tensed about it? Seriously dad! Give it to me I'll handle it.

Saying this she began to look at the CV'S
Of the candidates. When her gaze fell on the particular person's cv. It was of Neil Khanna. That name felt familiar to her. She closed her eyes trying to remember any of the threads regarding him. And next moment her eyes shone with a bright smile plastered on her face. Ashish also noticed this and looked at her been confused.

Ashish: what happened princess? Why you seemed happy all of a sudden?

Avni: dad its him! Remember once I had told you about him? That boy in my class, who wanted to come for a trip but his dad refused due to financial issues, so I had requested you to do something.

Ashish: of course princess how can I forget that boy, your someone special right?

Her face turned red instantly and she looked away controlling her blush. Ashish chuckled at that.

Avni: yeah so I was saying please appoint him for the job. He is really a hard working and talented guy. Please dad please.

Ashish: princess you don't have to request me, consider it done.

Avni squealed in happiness and hugged him tightly. Ashish patted her head and was really happy seeing her happy and contented. Avni requested him to allocate the higher post to neil. Ashish agreed and decided to allocate the CMO post to neil. Since then avni was waiting for that moment to come, when neil would be in front of her.

Flashback ends:

A knock on the door broke her reverie. Ashish allowed the person to come. That person revealed to be neil. Avni got conscious looking at him and tucked her strands nervously. A girl who could never be afraid of anything was now having difficulties in facing him. Neil's steps started proceeding towards ashish when his gaze fell on avni. His forehead creased looking at the familiar face. He tried hard to remember anything regarding her when a memory of her came rushing into his mind. A cute looking girl offered him a chocolate, he frowned and went from there without taking it. He could only remember that at the moment and instantly felt embarrassed of his deed.

Ashish: arey neil come sit

Neil nodded and took a seat in front of him. He wanted to asked him about his doubt that how he got that post but felt hard. Upon that a constant gaze of someone made him more nervous and anxious. He knew of whom stares he was receiving, because its nothing new he had faced that before.

Taking a deep breath he finally got ready to let it out.

Neil: sir actually I wanted to ask that are you sure about me? I am directly promoted to CMO isn't it wrong?

Before ashish could explain him, avni stood up and walked towards ashish standing beside him.

Avni: its because we believe in talent. It doesn't matter what step come first of employment. The truth is you have earned this position by your hardwork and skills. That's it hope you don't have any doubts now.

She said smiling at him. Neil looked at her then at ashish who blinked his eyes.  Neil smiled softly and nodded his head.

Neil: thank you sir and

Ashish: she is my daughter Avni Mehta

Neil nodded and looked at her. She had her gaze fixed on him still. Neil stood up and went from there to his cabin. Avni chuckled and shook her head thinking he is still the same.

The day passed much to avni's dismay. She wanted to talk with him, spend time with him but he was as always glued to his work and didn't even came out of his cabin. She didn't want him to think of her being desperate so she didn't disturb him.

But seemed like god was on her side. After completing his part of work, neil got inside the lift and to his surprise avni was there. Seeing him she smiled while he just nodded and stood a little far from her. She frowned and quietly moved near him without coming to his notice.

Neil looked at her sideways sensing her movements and avni looked ahead immediately acting naturally. Neil focused on somewhere else and avni finally decided to break the ice.

Avni: so how was your day?

Neil glanced at her.

Neil: it has been good. What about you?

Avni: ( in mind ) don't even ask I could not even concentrate on the work because of you. ( to him ) ah it's been wonderful.

She said grinning widely. Neil smiled slightly and kept quiet after that.

He tapped his foot impatiently while her gaze was doing no good to him. He cleared his throat in order to distract her but she didn't bother and continued gazing him. The moment lift halted he immediately got out and hurriedly strode off from there. While avni stood there bewildered and started laughing watching him been awkward.

Avni: you have to face this every day now darling till when you would run away.

Neil reached the Khanna house and his mom greeted him enthusiastically. They talked for sometime then had dinner. While juhi was lost in her thoughts.

After the dinner shweta handover a bowl of icecream to juhi and told her to give it to neil. She nodded and went from there.

She stood outside of his room and saw him engrossed in his work. She stepped inside and stood beside him.

Juhi: here icecream for you

He looked up hearing her and got annoyed.

Neil: how many times I have told you, do not act like my wife. Can't you understand that?

Juhi: and how many times I have told you I am not interested in this either. Its your mom who has asked me to do this.

Saying this she dumped the bowl of icecream on the table and went from there angrily. Neil shook his head and continued doing his work.

Other side juhi was crying standing in the balcony. She wiped her tears and looked at the photo on her mobile screen.

Juhi: I miss you vidhyut. Please take me away from here. I don't want to live without you anymore.

She closed her eyes tightly shedding tears of her loneliness and pain. Other side Avni was caressing the photo frame, with a sweet smile playing on her lips.

Avni: it's a sign neil, even god want us to be together so how can I leave this chance!

She smiled and lied down on the mattress keeping his photo closed to her heart.

Neil was thinking something deeply. Sleep was far away from his eyes. Her presence made his existence livelier but he didn't want to admit that. According to him they both are poles apart, their lifestyles are different, their thoughts are different. He closed his eyes sighing and her smiling face flashed in front of him, and top of that he still felt her gaze on him even in his thoughts. That made him laugh and he finally drifted into the slumber.

It wasn't easy for vidhyut either. He missed juhi and still misses her, every moment of his life. He had to distanced himself, he had to send her away from his life to make sure no harm could ever reach her.

And another night passed but the upcoming days would bring something good for them for sure, that is unknown to them.
