Avni came to living room and sat beside juhi. She hadn't glanced neil since he had come but he was no less he kept on staring at her without giving heed to anybody. Neela came there and noticed this.

Neela: arey ek kaam toh bhul hi gayi mai. Hey bhagvan ab kya hoga

Ashish: kya hua neela esi kya baat ho gayi

Neela: arey vo Pandit ji hai na vo nahi aa payenge ish baar kyun ki mandir mai bohot badi pooja hai isliye mene dusre Pandit ji ko bulaya hai. par unhone bola tha ka ish pooja ka sara Samaan vo khud denge par mandir pohoch ne me I ghanta lagega to ab kya kare

Neil: don't worry aunty mai chala jaata hu samaan lene

Neela: haa yeh thik rahega aur avni tum bhi chali jao saath me

Avni snapped her head at neela then looked at neil. Neil smiled and winked at her while she looked away. She denied at first but neela didn't listen to her and forcefully made her agreed.

Neil and avni walked out of the house and neil unlocked his car. Avni quickly settled down on the passenger seat without uttering a word. Neil Sighed and sat on his seat. He wears his seat belt while glancing at avni but her whole attention was outside.

He ignited the engine and drove from there. The journey was silent Neil's patience was getting faded when his girl had been sitting giving him the silent treatment. The reason behind her ignorance was Neil didn't contact her nor messaged her since two months. Avni was all restless and tensed thinking about the possibilities of what could have happened him but he didn't even try to update his whereabouts and how he was. He just distanced himself from her and the reason only he knows.

Neil clears his throat and kept his left hand above her startling her. Avni looked at him and clenched her jaw. She withdrew her hand from his hold and crossed her hands.

Neil Sighed and glanced at her tapping his finger on steering wheel.

Neil: ( whispered) I am sorry

Avni closed her eyes hearing his voice but didn't speak anything.

Neil: avni I know what I did is completely wrong but

Avni: don't

She pointed her finger at him. Her eyes were moist, tears were threatening to fall out but more than hurt she was angry on him.

Avni: don't even try to explain yourself. Do you know what I have felt when you didn't even called back me when I was getting restless thinking about you. You wanted to be away from me? You could have told me before I would have given you your freedom. You just disappeared from my life like you don't even know me.

She started pouring her heart out in front of him while he watched her helplessly. He frowned hearing her freedom line and quickly stopped the car at a side. He unlocked his seat belt and moved closer to her. She looked away wiping her tears. Neil tried cupping her face but she didn't let him. He forcefully hold her face in his palms and drew closer to her face.

Neil: bas itna hi jaanti ho mujhe? Huh?

Avni had her eyes lowered but her tears were still flowing.

Neil: ashish uncle ka phone aaya tha 3 mahine pehle, unhe ham dono ke baare me sab kuch pata hai.

Avni widened her eyes and looked at him. Neil nodded conforming her apprehension.

Avni: but ese kaise unho ne toh mujhe kuch bhi nahi kaha

Neil: vo chahte the ki ek baar me vapas aa jaun uske baad tumse baat karenge

Avni gulped the lump and glanced at him. His gaze dropped on her lips and he moved closer. Avni frowned and put her palm on her mouth.

Avni: still it doesn't give you the right to come close to me. Tumne mujhse itni badi baat chupayi. Par papa ko pata kese chala aur unhone tumhe kya kaha? Kya vo mujhse naraz hai? Pehle ye batao unhe pata kese chala hamare baare me?

Neil: figure it out by yourself babe

He winked at her and started the car again. Avni opened her mouth to say something but closed immediately being irritated by him.

Now neil was relaxed but avni was restless. She kept on glancing at him but Neil acted like he hasn't aware of it.

Avni recalled the moment when neela came to her after juhi's departure on the day of her marriage.

Flashback:

After the function everyone retired to their home. Now Juhi has her own family and responsibilities to look after. Avni entered in her room and started removing her jewellery but the news of Neil's journey to Bangkok made her sad.

She changed into her night suit and jumped on the bed hugging the pillow close to her chest tightly. She Sighed and laid on her stomach and stared at Neil's picture on her phone.

They had secretly clicked many selfies of them during all the functions. She was looking at all the pictures with a smile playing on her lips. Now she started missing him more. Neela secretly entered inside her room and saw avni but she wasn't aware of it.

Neela went near the bed and stood there watching avni.

Neela: lagta hai meri beti ab badi ho gayi hai

Avni freaked out in fear and sat up immediately leaving her phone. Neela smiled and sat beside her.

Neela: bolo avni kab se chal raha ye sab? I know kabhi kabhi kuch mulakatein rishton mai badal jaati hai during functions tum ek dusre ke qarib aa gaye hoge haina?

Avni started biting her lips but she had dicided to tell everything to her mother. She took a deep breath and looked at her mother.

Avni: nahi maa mai aur Neil ek dusre ko pehle se jaante the actually

She told her everything and neela's every reaction to her story was scaring avni.

Neela: baccha tumhare saath itna sab kuch ho gaya aur tumne bataya bhi nahi

Avni: chodo na maa vo sab purani baatein hai aap pehle ye batao aap naraz toh nahi hai na? Mai Neil se bohot pyaar karti hu aur vo bhi mujhse bohot pyaar karta hai but papa kya sochenge ish baare me

Neela: tum tension mat lo baccha sab thik ho jayega

She didn't say anything about neil. Avni was curiously looking at her for the answer but neela stood up and started walking out of the room. Avni Sighed and buried her face in her hands. Neela stopped at the doorstep and looked at her.

Neela: Bolde na mere son in law ko ke vo meri beti ka haath mangne jaldi se aaye ab aur nahi jhel sakti mai ish jhalli ( pagal ) ko.

Avni squealed in joy and hugged her tightly running to her.

Flashback ends:

Avni came out from her reverie and looked outside. They had reached to the mandir. Neil was looking at her with concern when she didn't listen to him.

They got out from the car and proceeded towards the stairs.

Avni: neil batao toh papa ko pata kese chala. Agar tumne nahi bataya toh mai pagal ho jaungi.

Neil chuckled and wrapped his hand around her shoulder.

Neil: patience soon to be wifey patience. Pehle ye kaam khatam karle uske baad tumhe saare sawalo ke jawaab tumhe mil jayenge.

Avni huffed and started walking ahead of him. Neil laughed looking at her cute angry face. They met with Pandit ji and collected their belongings for the pooja.

Pandit: ye kuch aur samaan hai jo neela ji ne mangvaya tha.

Avni: thik hai Pandit ji ab ham chalte hai

Pandit: jeeti raho beta

Pandit ji went from there. Avni checked the bag which he had given to her last. It had nuptial chain and vermilion inside. Avni frowned looking at them.

Avni: maa ne kyun mangvaya

Neil: vese hamare pass mangalsutra hai, sindoor hai, ham dono hai aur Pandit ji bhi hai kyu na yahi shadi karle what say wifey.

Avni: par mai toh aapko jaanti bhi nahi remember hamne 3 mahino se na ek dusre ki shakal dekhi hai aur na baat ki hai

Saying this she went from there giving him a cold look.

Neil: uff neil apne father in law ko manane ke chakkar mai apni jaan ko naraz kar diya. Avni jaan ruko mai bhi aaya. arey yaar meri baat toh suno.

But his all pleads went into the deaf. Avni was enjoying his all attempts to persuade her. At last he holds her in his arms caging her in between car and him.

Neil: zyada Sharif mat samjho mujhko thik hai chup chap maan jao verna

Avni: verna? Lagta hai tumhe pata nahi avni mehta hai kya cheez

Neil: Ky kya mat matlab. Darta nahi hu mai samjhi vo toh tum par mai gussa karna nahi chahta isliye abhi tak chup hu nahi toh

Avni: chup ek dam chup. Ek toh mujhe manane ki jagah tum mujhe dara rahe ho jao I hate you

She started crying and neil slapped his forehead.

Neil: arey arey mai mazaak kar raha tha yaar avni please look at me

He cupped her face and kissed her forehead softly. Avni closed her eyes and clutched the fabric of his shirt tightly in her fist. He pulled away and looked into her eyes.

Neil: I am sorry for everything. I know tumhe kese feel hua hoga all these months but I was helpless jaan. Ek toh vo contract ke chakkar mai na raat dikhti thi na din par maine har din, har ghante, har minute, har second aur har lamha sirf tumhare baare me socha hai and I know tumne bhi mujhe bohot miss kiya bas thoda sa naraz ho mujhse varna ek dam tight hug kar leti jab tumne mujhe dekha haina?

She bit her lips and nodded. He pulled her in a tight hug sweeping her feet from the floor. She buried her nose in his neck and snuggled to him more forgetting her every complaints and anger. He kissed her hair and caressed her back.

He broke the hug but her chain got stuck with the button of his shirt. He noticed it was the same chain he had sent her few days ago. He smiled and looked at her.

Neil: hmm seems like you missed me a lot my cherry

He banged his forehead with her softly.

Avni: of course my Ferrero rocher

They laughed and begins the journey towards their home.

Avni: accha neil ab toh batao papa ko kese pata chala

Neil: okay toh suno

Flashback:

Neil reached Bangkok and began to work on the contract. Next day he received ashish's call. First he was so confused and shocked as to why avni's father had called. He widened her eyes thinking if anything happened to avni.

He quickly answered the call and greeted him.

Neil: how are you uncle

Ashish: thik nahi hu mai jabse mujhe pata chala hai ki meri beti kisi aur se pyaar karti hai

Neil's face got pale hearing this.

Neil: uncle vo aapko

Ashish: kal mene usko neela se baat karte hue sun liya tha. Ab tum batao kya ye sahi hai? Uska rishta already karan ke saath fix ho chuka hai aur vo avni se bohot pyaar karta hai

Neil: par avni kis se pyaar karti hai vo zyada important hai

Ashish: karan ko mai jab vo ish duniya mai aaya tha tab se jaanta hu aur mere liye vo perfect hai meri beti ke liye

Neil: aur meri zindagi mai sirf avni hi hai jisko mene apna dil diya hai. Beshaq karan aap ke liye perfect hoga but avni ke liye mai kuch bhi kar sakta hu. Maine bohot badi galti ki hai past mai shayad vo jaan ne ke baad aap

Ashish: mujhe pata hai

Neil wiped the sweat beads from his forehead.

Ashish: ghabrane ki zaroorat nahi hai mai kuch nahi kahunga. Ek beti ka baap hu koi bhi faisla lene se pehle sochunga zaroor. Mai chahta hu ki tum jab tak Bangkok me ho avni se na baat karoge naa usse moka dauge tumse baat karne ka. Bolo kar paoge?

Neil: par uncle kyun?

Ashish: kehte hai duriya aksar pyaar ko aur strong banata hai beside mai dekhna chahta hu tum avni ke bina reh paoge ki nahi

Neil: mai avni ke bina adhoora hu, usse dur rehna matlab life without breath but agar aap chahte hai ki mai ye karu toh aapka trust paane ke liye mai kuch bhi karunga

Ashish: thik hai best of luck

Flashback ends:

Avni: I can't believe papa ne ye sab kaha matlab uss din papa ne meri aur neela ma ki baat sunli thi

Neil: haa aur mujhe pura yakeen hai vo already maan gaye hai

Avni: zyada overconfident hone ki zaroorat nahi hai agar maine bata diya na ke tum har wakt ek letter bhejte the gifts ke saath toh vo tumhe reject kar denge for cheating

Neil: arey vo mai sirf tumhe khush karne ke liye bhej ta tha kyun ki mujhe pata tha ki meri Tarah tum bhi yaha tadap rahi hogi mujhse baat karne ke liye mujhse milne ke liye haina?

Avni nodded thinking about those days.

Neil: aur ab agar tumhare papa nahi maane toh sidha utha kar le jaunga tumhe aur vo bhi unke saamne

She giggled and he smiled hearing the most melodious sound of her giggle.

But he stopped the car with a jerk suddenly making avni confused. Neil got shocked looking at the men in front of his car. Avni was all confused with the scenery but her heart was hammering inside. This scenario didn't give her a positive vibe.
