Safe House

M/n'a eyes shot open as he sat up gasping. He thought about what he just dreamed of. (lets..just say he was dreaming of Anzai)He then blushed madly at the thought of him. He covered his face not believing what happened in his dream. He looked over to see Tsukasa was still asleep, he sighed in relief.

At school

"Let's see now. How bout' Tsukasa?"Professor Ochiai said. Tsukasa's mind was somewhere else, staring at her book. "Tsukasa"Miwako called. "Tsukasa! Professor's calling you" M/n whisper yelled. "You alive there, Tsukasa?"Professor asked. "Huh? Oh![stands up]" "Feel free to stay in your seat. But would you read paragraph 3 for us, please? It's there on page 136" "Uh..yes of course. Medevil communes in Europe had sworn allegiances of mutual defense among humans–" she began as M/n began drifting into his own thoughts.

'It's been a month since Akimura disappeared. They're saying he left abroad to study in Canada. His arrest wasn't even on the news...was it because he's a vampire? And I haven't seen Anzai since the uh..incident. Did I have imagined the whole thing?'

[Flashback]

Anzai held M/n down with his hands on his legs as m/n tried to get him off. He did want to use his vampire strength bc he didn't want Anzai to know he was a vampire. He slides down some of m/n's jacket from his shoulder, ready to sink his fangs into his neck. He looked in M/n's eyes before exhaling and resting his on m/n's shoulder. "Uh! Hey..there's a syringe sticking out of your leg!" M/n told him, trying to get him up. "I know. I did it on purpose. I can't believe I had to use this on myself[breaths hard]Do my...do my eyes look normal again?" he asked looking into M/n's eyes. "Uh...yeah" 'He does look better. The dark circles are gone'

He looks away. "I um...I'm sorry about that. With the tongue and everything" he said, making m/n blush madly.

"NO NEED TO REMIND ME ABOUT ALL THE TONGUE, OKAY?!" M/n said hitting him. He covered himself. "I'm sorry! Hey, stop it! Stop!" and m/n did. "Anyway...so..your a vampire too?" m/n asked, making Anzai gasp a little and stare then look away. "Uh..." "I'm sorry..I didn't mean to.." "No, no..It's fine, really. Actually, I have genes from both, so I guess I'm a half-vampire"

"Half-vampire" "I was under the impression it would make my impulses weaker. [stands]But apparently not.*sighs* I held it all in with Akimura but.. I almost blew it[gets on balcony rail]Anyway, look on the bright side" he said. "Huh?" "There are plenty of other fish in the sea" he said looking back m/n before jumping off, leaving.

[Flashback end]

'Since then, me or Taira haven't seen Anzai at all[remembers flashes of his dream][blushes&groans then shakes it off]. Is it because he kissed me? Is that why..it's hard to forget him. But..i..That's not how real love is supposed to work...right?[flashes of Akimura]Akimura...I hope..I hope you're okay..i'll come find you..just wait..okay'

M/n finally reaches the apartment. *Puts his bag down and turns the light on* He saw that Tsukasa wasn't there. She must have been still getting groceries from the store. He then took off his jacket.'Come to think of it...Have I ever truly fallen in love with anyone before?[sits on his bed]To be honest...that basically was my first real kiss. I wonder where you are right now*looks at curtain*...Anzai*pulls it*' M/n gasped seeing Anzai staring right at him. Then Anzai got up quickly, looking away. "Sorry. I uh...didn't mean to scare you" he said casually. "A-Anzai what are you doing here? And why're you just sitting out there?" "I used the telephone pole. It was the best way for me to get to you" 'Telephone pole?!'m/n thought. "So, how've you been?"

[blushes] "Huh?" "You're worried about Akimura arent you? You always stop for a minute when you get to the place we arrested him" he said, making M/n gasp..he was doing that. *Looks at m/n from the corner of his eye* "I can put in a request for you if you want to go and visit. And, well...depending o the trial, they can get off with a life sentence" he explained."Uh..yeah..'Seriously..what kind of person am I? I've been more worried about Anzai than Akimura these days'"

He turns to m/n. "So, have you been losing weight? You know guys like a boy with a little meat on their bones" he said making m/n blush. "I WORKOUT YOU IDIOT!(>//////<)"m/n yelled punching him in the arm. "Hey now! Stop it! Take it easy, stop hitting me![starts laughing]" And m/n stops hitting him. "Well look at you. You're doing much better than I thought" he said smiling. "Y-your..smiling" "Huh? [smiles again]Guess I am" he says before his earpiece cuts in.

"It's Sawazaki. We have a Level 1 Special case! Name: Yuuko Tamaru. Female. Age 21. Suspect will be referred to as target T from now on. Be advised. Target is hiding inside the Mikusa Building" "This is Anzai. Copy. [turns away]Im right by it. On the way" he said before jumping off leaving again.

M/n looked on the ground and saw something black lying there. It was Anzai's wallet.

M/n was outside running, trying to find Anzai and the place where he'd heard a guy named Sawazaki said the scene was. A couple of police cars were at the scene.

On the rooftop was a lady, her chin and mouth were covered in blood..her eyes were red and yellow. She was holding a knife that also had blood on it. She was breathing heavily. "Calm down. Let's settle this peacefully. Right, Yuuko Tamaru?"Sawazaki said, M/n almost on his way up there, then he noticed the roof door was open. "You the police?" she asked pointing the knife at him. "PS-D5 Task Force: Devil-rated crimes. We can make special allowances in cases like yours. You have no priors. If this was all just an accident...they might not press charges"

"Charges?[shakes head]I really dont care what they do to me, okay?" "Then why are you running...Yuuko?"Anzai asked then laded behind her, making her gasp hearing a familiar voice. "Is that you, Yuuki?" she asked looking at him.

Anzai jumped down from behind her now in front of her as she squints her eyes. "Do you have someone...Someone that you would do anything in the world to protect? If you dont, then you won't understand how I feel. The love of my life was just helping me make dinner. He cut his finger and then said..."Lick it off"[she gasps hard]Next thing I knew I stabbed him. Then..I was desperately drinking his blood![tears fall down]I was...I was always so careful![m/n on the roof hiding behind something listening with his head down/frowning]Trying to make sure I would never hurt him. I should have known it could never work out. A devil marrying a human...living under the same roof"

"Dan right it didn't work. He showed you his bloody finger and asked you to lick it off? What part of that is 'Being careful'?[she gasps]I dont care if he was your husband. If you see blood, you're gonna lose it. [eyes turn halfway red]I take it you never taught your husband how vicious devil can be[she gasps again]You said you'd do anything to protect him, but were too afraid he'd leave you. You can't leave out something that important" he said and she started sobbing and her eyes turned back normal. Anzai took the knife from her.

"December 3rd, 23:35. Target T apprehended. Assault charges to be filed. Present on the scene: Senior Officer Sawazaki and Officer Anzai" M/n left and Anzai was looking in his direction from the corner of his eye.

M/n gets back, turns on the light, tubs his eyes still holding Anzai's wallet. He sees a note on the table along with the groceries.

"I ran into Miwako. She asked me if I wanted to spend the night with her. So we're gonna have girls' night! See you when I get back! And stay safe! ~Tsukasa~"

M/n sighed after reading the note and sat it back down and took off his sweater. 'She better call me'

Anzai landed on the balcony and m/n turned around seeing Anzai give him an irked smile. So m/n gave a smile back, innocently.

"I knew it[jumps down]You followed me, didn't you?[attempts to open the door]Uh! And you didn't even bother to lock the door? You're all alone, it's the middle of the night" "Alright sorry. You just dropped this and I wanted to give it back to you" m/n said cutely making him gasp. "I'm sorry" he said taking it and putting back in his inner pocket. 'Is he apologizing to me?'

"But from now on, you dont have to bring me my stuff. Understand?" he told m/n looking at him. "Yeah..sure"

"Um..so, that woman..." "She's an old friend. We...we used to make snowmen when we were kids. It's cold" he then exhales looking at m/n. "Do not. Get hurt in front of me again"

He exhaled again. "As I was saying earlier... it's not easy for non-family members to visit a devil. But they might make an exception if you helped the devil reform himself. If you wanna see him then that's how you can do it, alright(shivers)" "You okay? I mean if you want you could use the um.."

"A kotatsu" he said. "You have one at home?" M/n asked. "I only have the basic things one needs to get by"

"Everyone needs a Kotatsu. You get cold easily right?" "No? But my temperature stays around 80 degrees" "That's..lower than mine" m/n said quietly out loud by accident. "Huh"

"Uh! Oh..nothing"

"Anzai. Where are you? I've told you to stop running off like this" Sawazaki said through ANzais earpiece. "Sorry but, I gotta go. [points]And you make sure to lock your door" he says jumping on the balcony rail. "Wait! Hang on a sec!"m/n called out as he stopped and looked back a little. "Huh?"

(ughhh this is so weird lol)

"What? Do it with somebody watching? Not a chance" Jill said. The door to the shop opened, revealing Anzai. "Welcome back Anzai" the bartender said. "Anzai, how's it goin'?" a guy asked who was sitting next to Jill.

"Alright then, here are your tranqs" the guy next to Jill said. "Oh, thanks. This'll help. Where's Sawazaki? Not here yet?"

"He should be here soon. Sounds like you're gonna be in for a lecture. Something about...oh, you running off on your own again" "He's right Anzai. You've been a stranger around here lately. (Anzai grones)Why run away when you got someone like me to take pity on you and inviting you over?[winks]" "Leave me alone. Water please"

"I didn't realize you two were actually dating" the guy now in the middle of them said. "Oh please. Of course, we are" "I didn't realize that either" the bartender said. "What is wrong with you guys? You know you can't believe a word she says. She just wishes we were" he exclaimed, taking the cup of water the bartender gave him and taking a sip.

"So, what is it you two were talking about?"Anzai asked. "Hm?[chuckles]Just some ridiculous new clause they added to the guidelines. Devil Conduct Guidelines Article 1: Sxual intercourse between a human and a vampire will now be legal. As long as there is consent from both parties...and a doctor is present" she explains making Anzaigroan again, taking another sip of his water. "I'm not so sure that's a good idea. The Tamaru couple was in that very situation, I mean they even signed a preup promising not to make love, and look how that turned out" she said.
