Scp-049 pov:
I let the woman faint with my touch. She didn't had any diseases.. That was quite new.
I carried her into the hell hole I was kept in.
Probably this wasn't the greatest idea..
But I had no other choice. I had to treat her like my other patients.
I laid her on the bed that stood in a corner of the room. The gray dark walls and the cameras made me feel a little dizzy. Even if it was my everyday life.. I was always lonely in this dirty cell.
The rude people didn't made it any better. I always wanted somebody to be there, who would be nice enough to even talk a little. But that never happened...
Till now. Dr y/n l/n was quite different. No researcher had ever reacted to my actions. But she even asked me if I was alright.
I really hoped that she would keep researching about me. I wasn't that bad anyways..
Every scientist made it sound like I was a terrible creature. I was helping the people! They always kicked my patients out..
But the other way, my patients weren't that friendly either. I probably made the poor woman upset. She was probably thinking that she was dead by now.
I had to treat her nicely..
I walked over to the small table and made some warm tea. I didn't know if she liked it, but who doesn't like tea? Isn't it the best thing? It always calms me down. Maybe the tea would also calm the researcher down.
I glanced at her. 'Why isn't she waking up?'
She was already passed out for about 10 minutes, which was unusual. I sat her down on to the chair.
I searched around for a useful tool, and roamed around in my chamber.
Y/n pov:
I opened my eyes slowly, with a strong headache.
I pulled my face into my hands and tried to wake myself a little up, till I remembered what happened.
I quickly tilted myself up and looked around.
I saw the creature, and to my surprise it didn't notice me. I used the chance and quietly got up, making my way towards the chamber door.
"Miss l/n where are you planning to go?"
I froze and glanced at the lever, but it was broken. I couldn't close the chamber door, no matter what I would try. I turned around, now, facing the tall creature.
"Don't you want to join me?" He stepped aside and pointed at the table.
"...You want me to drink some tea with you?.."
I tried to talk as calm as possible, even if the panic was indescribable..
"Of course, dear y/n.. You are probably full with adrenaline. You should calm yourself down!"
"Uh.. Why didn't you try to.. kill me?"
"Killing you?! Oh my, I would never murder someone.."
I was terribly confused but just nodded.
"A-Alright, I will drink some tea with you.., 049..."
"Oh please, miss y/n.. Just call me Doctor."
"Alright.."
We walked over to the table.
I sat down, taking a sip of the tea.
"Why won't you try to run away from me?"
"..Honestly, I don't really know. Maybe it's just that I know, I would have no chance.."
"That's a good reason.. May' I could ask why you're not sick?"
"Me and sick? Oh well I don't know, I think I have a strong immune system."
"The great pestilence has taken over the half world.... How is it possible that you aren't infected?"
"The pestilence isn't existing anymore.., are you sure you mean the-"
"Oh my dear y/n.... The great pestilence isn't gone. I can sense it, but for some reason not in you..."
He tilted his head slightly.
He gave me an unsure stare. Of course I could only see his eyes... But they were enough to tell about his mood. He was for sure someone that couldn't hear the truth. Someone, that hates it to hear the things he doesn't want to hear.
He only wants the answer that he would like.
Apparently he would only accept his own opinion..
"Well I can assure you that nobody in this world has the Black Plague..."
"Oh miss y/n.. "
He rolled his eyes in annoyance and laid hisself back into the chair.
I was now unsure if I should talk more about my opinion and how it really was like. I was scared to death, even if it didn't look like it. The only thing I could think of was to not die now and here.
"W-Well 0- Doctor.., I think I don't know it any better then. I can tell you I'm feeling very fine.."
"If you say so, my dear.."
He glanced at his tea and then into my eyes.
"If you're feeling any better, miss y/n.., then we would better keep on moving.."
"I- Uh.. I.." I was absolutely irritated and frustrated.
What the hell did this thing want from me?!
"..So if you're planning to escape the facility, I wouldn't do it. Also, I can loose my job. This job is all I have.. and I don't want to end up as a class D."
"My dear.., I don't want you to help me escape. I know the consequences.."
I gave him an unsure stare.
"I really mean it." He chuckled a little.
"I was thinking about traveling around the facility for some time, till the breach ends.."
"I'm not sure if I want this.. There are a lot of scp's that broke out- Well at least I'm pretty sure.."
"Y/n, I'm sure, that the only scp's that have escaped their chambers are me, scp-035, scp-096 and all scp-939's."
"They're all dangerous.."
"We could stay here if you want to, but it will be a very long time. Don't forget you have to eat and drink, and keep your body warm. I don't have much warm tea left, and I also don't have a warm blanket. We have to find those recourses, or else, you'll get very sick. I can sense it.."
"...I don't want to be hurt. I will travel around with you, but only, if you promise me that nothing will happen to me."
"I promise.."
I stared him into his blue unique eyes, as I decided to trust the tall creature.
It didn't kill me..- Also, a few guards are still around somewhere for sure. The scp is in some way calm and.. I guess friendly?..
"..I hope you're not lying.."
I made my way towards the hallway.
"Trust me.. I can assure you I won't harm you.."
I glanced up, to greet his eyes.
No one's pov:
You were for sure not the tallest- but also not the shortest person. Your head ended at his shoulder.
As you glanced into his eyes, he slowly glanced back.
"Miss y/n we'll have to be careful.. No matter what would wait for us upstairs, you have to stay calm."
You nodded and walked out of the room.
As you both wandered around the corner, you tried not to throw up. The corpse of Dr. Key was laying on the ground, with the fresh blood coming from his wound.
"..C-Can you promise me to not murder any.. personnel around me..?"
He glanced down at you.
"I don't murder them.. I cure them. He was just.... not lucky."
"What do you mean by that?"
"He didn't survive because.. he had a heart attack.."
A soft tear rolled down your cheek as the scp pressed the elevator button.
He was for sure lying..
It was for sure just a stupid excuse so you wouldn't be scared.
As you stepped inside, you wiped the tears away.
"Where are we even going to?"
"Either the light- or the entrance zone. Both places are better than staying here. All breached scp's are in the heavy containment zone, or at least the most of them..."
"..alright, but that will take us some time.."
"Don't worry, I won't leave you. You're safe with me.., just trust me.."
He stared down at you.
With an unsure feeling you decided to force yourself to believe him. You smiled a little as you spoke.
"Alright.. I trust you."
"Good Choice.."
As soon as those words were spelled, you immediately regretted it.
He took you by your hand.
"Hey stop! What are you doing?!"
You yelled out as the scp carefully stopped and let go.
"I'm sorry. I for sure forgot to tell you something.. I can control it."
"..Control what?"
You crossed your arms and stood there, kind of embarrassed for yelling at him.
"You have read it in my file. My ability to let people faint or die with my touch.."
"..So you can decide if you let me.. faint or did..?"
"Exactly. There is no reason to panic, miss y/n."
He assured you and held his hand open, hoping you would take his.
"It's alright, nothing will happen."
"..Okay..."
You weren't sure if he said the truth. But thinking logical doesn't hurt, right? Exactly. It doesn't. And you thought about it for awhile. You didn't die.
You took his hand and slowly, you both made your way trough a few doors, till you both found the checkpoint.
"Look! We made it..!"
Joy filled you and you slipped your keycard trough the scanner. The checkpoint gates opened and you both walked trough. Both of you made it to the light containment zone. A good place for now..
"Miss y/n, we'll have to find the cafeteria if you won't mind going there now."
"I'm being honest, I'm not really hungry. I would prefer to walk around for a little.."
"That's alright. Let's just make sure to stay close to some checkpoints.."
"Alright.." you sighed a little.
Now, that you were filled with joy, you were yourself. You were a kind and happy person. All positive you were, you loved to help other people. You loved to talk about a lot of themes. And if you would describe yourself more clear, you could also tell you would understand any theme. You liked to talk about different stuff. You were a very social person, and that's why most of the personell liked you, and preferred you to work on some specific scp's.
As you were trapped in some thoughts, the doctor interrupted them.
"Miss y/n.., would you mind telling me why you agreed to research on me?"
This question bumped you out of your thoughts.
You didn't know what say, since it was a question out of nowhere. Clearly the scp couldn't stand the silence..
"Well, it's my order and I have to finish it."
"I heard researchers can also disagree to work on some scp's."
"Yes of course.. I just wanted to work on a new scp. I've always worked on keter class scp's, and never on euclid scp's. ..Also I thought you were kind of interesting..."
You blushed a little and chuckled it off.
A slight embarrassment had hit you, but you tried to ignore it.
"..That's nice to hear."
"Doctor.., I heard a lot of terrible stuff about you... Are they true?.."
"It depends on which ones you have heard, miss y/n.."
"..U-Uhm.." immediately you regretted to ask.
"Well.., there are some stories about you.., that tell you were torturing some people..."
"..Oh that's not true.. Many people here think I am hurting the people.. But I only help them. I cure them and try take their pain... Why is that so hard to understand..?" He hissed a little.
Obviously it got him angry. You tried your best to change the subject.
"Don't worry..! I believe you..- I- I trust you and understand what you mean. There's no need to worry, doc. You don't need a lot people to understand you.. Just trust me."
"Thank you y/n, I appreciate your help..., but I don't need it."
This had hurt you really bad, even if he didn't meant it this way. He didn't mean to hurt you with those words. You were a very sensible person, and could take some words wrong. You tried to hold your pain back, as you tried to calm yourself down.
"He didn't meant it this way.. For sure he was just trying to tell me, that he didn't need my help..."
You thought, and the few moments were just full of silence.
"Doctor.. I just can't handle it to not help. I know you may' don't want my help, but I can't sta-"
"Y/n I really appreciate your help..., but I don't need it." He hissed at you with a slight annoying voice.
"I..-I was just saying.."
You crossed your arms and walked a little slower.
You again hated the fact to have trusted this beast.
You tried your best to hold back the tears, but couldn't. Tears rolled down your cheeks, as you tried to hold back your sob.
"Y/n I didn't mean to hurt you. I didn't know you were that sensible.. I should have known. I'm sorry, forgive me." He stopped in front of you and put his hands on your shoulders.
He wasn't the best help.. And definitely not the person for cheering up..
He defiantly couldn't cheer you up like this.
You had to see everything positive.
But how?
You wiped away your tears and tried not to annoy him.
"I'm sorry for annoying you..- I.. just..-"
"It's alright y/n. There is no need to cry.."
He took you into a hug and tried to calm you down.
You slowly wrapped your hands around his body and cried yourself out.
You didn't cry a lot. But this situation was obviously too much for you.
The panic, the fear of death and the trust issues you had. It all damaged your health, but couldn't just ignore it. You were suffering just to think about your past. Your past made you a better person. But you still had some memories.. Memories that didn't go away.
T r a u m a s
Frantically you let go and ripped yourself out of the scp's arms. You were paranoid. Paranoid of what would happen to you next.
You wiped the tears away.
"I'm sorry..- I just.. I have bad memories.."
"You can tell me your problems, y/n.."
You glanced at him, but didn't believe a word he was saying.
"Trust me. It's not like I would tell everybody.. Also, why should I? And who would I tell? I'm a nobody. I'm just a subject. I can't hurt you either, so why are you scared? I am a doctor, y/n.."
He crossed his arms, but talked in a calm voice.
Obviously he wasn't in the mood for helping.
But what else was he supposed to do? He's stuck with you. Also, you were the only person that would keep on researching on him. You were the only one he could talk to. You could at least talk back.. And that was his point. He tried to become in a good contact with you. But maybe what had bothered him, was, that you didn't trust him..
The last thing he wanted was, to be alone in that dirty cell, with no one who would pay attention to him. He also lived. He also had a life, a life like everybody else. But not a normal one of course..
He glanced at you as he realized, that you didn't even tried to believe him. So he decided to let you feel a little comfortable.
"Y/n I tell the truth. You don't have to believe me now. I have no reason to hurt you, just think logical. I will help you with everything. Since you don't want to tell me your problem, I will take you to a nice place. You will like it, trust me. "
You thought about it with distrust.
But as you were thinking about all that happened, you decided to go to that "place". You had no other option either to follow him or staying back.
You wiped away the last tears and began to walk a little forward. He held his hand open, a sign for you to take his hand. You didn't think about it and took his hand into yours. He gently lead you through the corridors.
"You can rest there for awhile, and view the fish."
"The.. Fish?"
"Yes. The fish. You will see.."
You both slowly turned a corner and entered a room.
"Here we are. I'm sure you don't know this place, since it's only for the site director."
"Yes, you're right. I have never heard of that room before, it's the first time actually.."
You walked in, as you let his hand go and began to look at the giant aquarium that was in the middle of the room. The room was big, with brown walls and wooden floors. A desk and shelves matched the colors of the floor and walls.
You glanced at the aquarium and stared inside.
A clown fish. But a clown fish in such a big aquarium? Alone? Weird...
Maybe the fish had some problems with other fishes.
You saw a couch and decided to take a nap.
"You can rest if you want to, we have enough time anyways.. I will stay here, don't worry."
You nodded and took a blanket that was laying on the couch. You rested down and covered yourself with the blanket. You drifted away into your dreams quickly, because of how tired you were.
Nightmare
"I..- Ugh.." you muttered.
You glanced around as you stood up from a cold metal table. Sitting on it, you noticed, you were in a grey walled room. Metal tables were all around you..
"Hello?!" You yelled into the darkness.
Panic hit you as you heard footsteps coming closer. Suddenly, the door opened and you were greeted by the doctor. "Uh..- D-Doc? What is this all about? Where am I...?" You glanced around shakily, not knowing what to do.
"Don't worry.... You're safe with me! Trust me y/n trust me! I protect you...—"
Everything around you was blurry.
The doctor, his voice, even yourself.
You held your hands onto your head.
It all felt real.. everything..
You could only see the blurred doctor, and how he slowly put his mask off..
But something was odd...
He something in his hand.
Something short...
It was a sort of knife..
As you tried to know what it was, you screamed in pain.
You felt a burning pain in your chest. You cried and sobbed something under your breath. But slowly, the reality woke you up.
"Y/n? Are you alright?"
You jumped up and quickly tiled yourself up, just to sit on the couch, with your eyes on the floor. You slowly held your face into your hands.
"Must've been a nightmare.."
You glanced up at him.
"It.. I-It felt so real.. Why did it felt so real?!"
You cried in shock and tried to calm down.
"Y/n it's alright. I won't hurt you, I just want to help.."
You wiped the tears away and tried to collect the words together.
"I had a dream.. I woke up on a metal table... You were also there..- J-Just as I yelled out something, you came in... and... you weren't really you.. You were filled with energy... You were completely out of your mind.. Then, I saw everything blurry. I could only see something small you held.. It was a sort of knife.. Just as I was about to ask something, I felt sharp pain in my chest... It just scared me... I'm sorry for my reaction, I have probably screamed... It's just.. the pain felt so real.."
"Y/n.. You just had a nightmare, it's alright, I'm here now, and I won't hurt you. I promise."
He slowly gave you a welcomed hug. Since you didn't want to be rude, you hugged him back, as a sign of trust.
"Thank you.." you silently said.
