Lenky was asleep. His dreams were a great mix of his argument with Tan, what he had heard from the humans, Tan refusing to listen to his warning. He was so worried. What if they had meant it? What would be made of Lenky's life if Tan was picked?

Lenky opened his eyes. Instantly he knew that it was a dream, judging by the... bluish gray trees? How weird! Lenky started to walk through that odd-looking forest, while thinking. They looked too familiar. Something made a loud noise that scared Lenky, and made him run to hide behind a tree. He touched the bark and had the sensation of touching fur! What kind of forest was this? The leaves swayed on the wind, making Lenky look at their color. Normal leaf green. Familiar leaf green. Too familiar. They had Tan's eyes color.

Suddenly, coming out of nowhere, a loud annoying sound made Lenky jump on a tree. Someone was cutting the trees with an electric chainsaw! What a cruelty! Lenky looked at the man who was doing this. He was tall, had black head-fur... he was the evil human from the lab! The human let out an evil and malefic laugh and then turned to the tree Lenky was on. Oh, rat dung*. Lenky shivered. The human gave Lenky a malicious smile and turned the chainsaw on. He started to cut the tree. While Lenky felt the tree trembling and starting to fall, a robotic voice, inside his head, started to say things like: "The end has come" and "Your death is near". While the tree fell, Lenky, screaming in terror, saw the human's evil face one last time.

Lenky suddenly woke up. The dream had been so real... Lenky was so scared. What did it mean? He rose to his paws and sat down to look around his cage. He felt warm tears coming out of his eyes and running down his face. His mind was confused and spinning, thinking about the dream. He looked through the silver bars of the cage and stared at Tan's cage across the room. Lenky sighed and whispered, even though he knew Tan couldn't hear him: "I'm so sorry, Tan. I didn't mean to hurt or upset you. I never have."

Lenky lied down again, trying to find another position to sleep. He couldn't.

Suddenly, the door opened. Lenky shivered with fear. It was going to be the same scene he had seen five months before. The humans entered the room. Lenky thought again for a second. They had tried to take Tan away once. They couldn't. She was a very light sleeper, and woke up to any movement. He just hoped she would wake up this time.

The humans approached Tan's cage.  Wake up!  Lenky shouted in his mind. The human opened the cage door. WAKE UP!!! The human grabbed Tan. WAKE UP!!!!!.....

She didn't.

Lenky woke up the next morning extremely sad and concerned. Tan... his adoptive, beloved little sister... he couldn't believe it. He didn't want to believe it!

Lenky was crying. And crying. He was crying harder than he ever had. He was lying down on his pillow, just thinking, when ((have I seen this scene before?)) Kento and his gang walked into his cage (the female human had just released them). "Kento, who invited you to my cage?" Asked Lenky. "Well, the same cat who thought you had said that you would 'love Tan and protect her like a real brother' or something" "Seriously, leave me alone for once, Kento! Not even when Tan just got picked?" "As if you cared! You did absolutely nothing to help her..." "She was under the effect of some kind of food. I'm not dumb, Kento, I know the humans put something called 'tranquilizer' to make the cats sleep so they can pick them. I'm just not sure when they did..." Lenky looked at Kento. His face showed an expression of fear, as if he was hiding something. Then he realized. "IT WAS YOU!" he shouted, standing up to face Kento. "It was you who put that in Tan's food! I should've known that! You saying she would regret that fight, your mysterious disappearing  with Tuft, your return with no explanations and approaching her bowl, everything!!!" Kento, for once in his life, was afraid of Lenky. Lenky continued "You did that to my sister, now you'll pay for what you've done! I could break your bones 'till they turn to sand now!" "Try me, crybaby! And you guys, this is my fight! I can handle this baby boo with a missing paw!" They both started to growl at each other, clawing each other with both front and back claws, sharing bites and rolling on the ground in a fight of pure fury.

Some minutes after, they pulled apart and Lenky stood up, panting. Some of his scratches were bleeding, but he didn't care that much. Looking at Kento, his victorious smile suddenly disappeared. The cat was lying down, covered with blood, with short breath and unconscious. Did I do this to him?

The human got quickly to where they were, looking first at Kento, then at Lenky, speechless. "H-h-how...did...this cat...do this?!" He turned away and ran through the door and shut it behind him. Lenky kept staring at Kento. Now he knew his true strength. He had almost killed another cat! Someone from his own species! No, you're not a cat. That little voice inside his head said. Neither are you a lynx. You're both...and none.

The human got back to the room very quickly. Before Lenky could do anything, he felt a syringe needle stinging him and everything went dark. 

*For those who haven't read Warrior Cats, this is an expression the cats use when something goes terribly wrong. It can be an insult.
