Chapter 7
"Good morning Cutie Pie!" Mrs. Irwin opened the curtain in Ashton's room.
Ashton pulled the covers over his head. "Leave me alone to die."
"No can do. I just bought you a pair of skinnies and I want you to try them on."
She threw a pair of pants at him.
He threw the covers off him and inspected the cloth.
"Mom!" He gasped, blush creeping up his cheeks. "This is for girls!"
"Your point?"
"I'm a guy!" Ashton threw them to the floor. "I'm not wearing them!"
"I bought those with your college fund so you bet your cute ass you're wearing them. Besides, your boyfriend will appreciate it." She gave them back to Ashton.
"He's not my boyfriend." Ashton mumbled.
"Dill with it." Mrs. Irwin said as she pulled out a pickle from her back pocket. She bit it and laughed. "Get it? Dill?" Her face turned serious. "I had a pickle in my pocket for the sake of that joke, now laugh."
"I'd rather wear the pants." Ashton rolled his eyes.
"I was hoping you'd say that." She smiled and pranced to the door. "And I hid all your other jeans so you really have no choice. See you at breakfast!"
She shut the door behind her and Ashton cursed his existence.
He reluctantly changed into the pants and was surprised at how good his ass looked in them.
I kinda hope Luke notices...
-
"Babe, come on." Luke hurried after Ashton. "What's up with you? You've been cold to me all day! Did I do something?"
Ashton glared at him. "Yes! You absolutely embarrassed me at dinner yesterday!" He whacked Luke with his books. "You. Stupid. Vibrating. Bird. Feeder!" He hit Luke with every word.
"Ouch, hey, calm down." Luke laughed. "I'm sorry about last night! I wasn't being serious!"
"Well my family thinks so!" Ashton huffed and plopped down onto the sidewalk. Luke sat beside him and put his arm around Ashton's shoulders.
"Listen babe, I'm-"
"Don't call me that." Ashton snapped. He rested his chin on his knees. "You don't get to call me babe."
"Sorry. Listen here princess, I'll make it up to you."
Ashton's cheeks burned red at the new nickname. "That's even worse than babe." He mumbled. He buried his face in his knees to hide his cheeks.
"A date. I want a date with you. Tomorrow at seven, I'll pick you up." Luke squeezed Ashton closer to him.
"No." Ashton's voice was muffled against the denim.
"I'm not hearing a restraining order threat." Luke said happily. He stood up. "C'mon, it'll be fun!"
"You really don't understand the word no, do you?" Ashton sighed and lifted his head up.
"Nope." Luke smiled and reached a hand down.
Ashton rolled his eyes but accepted it and Luke pulled him to his feet.
"So, tomorrow at seven. Don't make any plans." Luke said. He started walking to his car, but stopped when he saw Ashton wasn't following.
"Hey, my cars over here." Luke pointed.
Ashton shook his head and crossed his arms. "I'm still mad. I'm walking home."
Luke groaned. "Princess, come on!"
"I'm not a princess!" Ashton snapped. He picked up his books and started walking away from Luke.
Luke cursed and ran to his car. He started it and drove slowly beside Ashton. "Will you please get in the car? Please? I'm sorry."
Ashton ignored him and kept walking.
Luke huffed and honked the horn. "Come on, kitten."
Ashton shot him a glare.
"Princess? Babe? Baby? Boo? Sunshine of my life?" Luke tried.
Ashton moved farther away from the road and Luke groaned loudly. "Pain in my ass."
"You called?" Ashton asked.
Luke slammed on the brakes and got out of the car.
"Luke! What are you doing?" Ashton gasped as Luke picked him up by the waist and slung him over his shoulder.
"If you're gunna act like a princess I'm going to treat you like one." Luke walked back to the car and opened the passenger door.
Ashton pushed Luke's hands off him as Luke clipped on the seat belt. "I can do it myself!"
"Nope. Princesses have everyone do everything for them." Luke adjusted the seat belt and put Ashton's books in the backseat.
"God, sometimes I hate you!" Ashton seethed as Luke got into the drivers seat and started driving again.
"You're welcome." Luke dropped Ashton off at his house. "Say hi to the fam for me."
"Fuck yourself off a cliff." Ashton snarled, slamming Luke's door shut.
He was walking back to his house when Luke honked again.
"Hey, your ass looks great in those jeans by the way!" Luke called.
Ashton blushed and turned around to flip him off.
Luke laughed and sped away.
Ashton fought back a smile as he entered his house.
He noticed.
