Kannamma's POV!

Nooo!!! I screamed and my vision got blurry. I lost consciousness after hearing my name has been called by a very familiar voice.

I tried to open my eyes slowly. But it was so heavy like two stones are placed on top of my eyelids. I was dizzy.. My whole body felt numb.

Where am I? Is this heaven? Am I dead?

I opened my eyes with lot of difficulty. The only thing I could see with my blurred vision is white.

So I'm in heaven huh?  

Doctor she is conscious.. Someone told.

Doctor? So am I in hospital? But how I came here? Who saved me?

I tried to open my mouth but I'm totally parched. God! What's happening to me?!!

Within few minutes, one man came in a white coat smiling at me. Kavin, Kathir and Pooja came behind him with a worried face.

So they saved me? But how?

How are you feeling now? Doctor asked me. I gestured him to give me water.

Kavin immediately took water bottle and gave me opening it hastily. He's soaked with sweat and he looks exhausted.

I drank water. Now my throat is little better.

I.. I'm okay.. Wh..What hap..happened? I tried to form sentence.

Good! You don't have to worry about anything. You're safe now. And you just had panick attack.. Now everything is normal. You have to take care of yourself and don't stress anything. And I put glucose through iv just because you're so weak. You can go to your home after it gets finished. Now take rest.. Okay? He said.

I just nodded. He left with nurse after that. I looked at the trio who's standing in front of me with a worried face.

Thank god kanns! You're fine! You scared us to death! Pooja is the one who broke the silence.

I gave her a small smile. Yet I can't face him. I can't look at his eyes after I rejected his proposal. But I could feel his intense stare on me which I pretend not to notice.

Did anyone other than you three know about this? I mean my appa, amma, anna.. ? I asked my doubt which came in my head firstly.

I don't want them to know this. They can't tolerate. I don't want to scare and worry them. No..

Pooja shook her negatively.

Thank god! Please don't inform them.. About anything.. Please! I pleaded. Pooja didn't say anything instead just nodded.

During the whole time, they two didn't speak a single word. Kavin.. Okay.. He may not talk to me.. At least for now.. But what about Kathir?

I looked at Kathir expectantly. He's crying? Tears flowing from eyes carelessly..  Oh my god!

Kat.. Kathir! Why are you crying? I asked him.

I... I'm not crying.. It's just.. just I'm allergic to hospitals.. That's it! Why I'm even crying now.. Isn't it Kavin? He said wiping his tears and chuckled. I casually looked at Kavin who's looking lost.

He immediately left the room without saying a single word. It hurted me!💔

Pooja went outside following him. Kathir just sat in front of me.

What happened? Tell me Kathir.. I asked him pleadingly. He sighed.

Nothing much. We came there in time. So you're safe. Rakesh is in jail. So don't worry about him. Don't stress anything okay? Take rest! He said ruffling my hair slowly.

I badly want to know in detail. But I have no energy to push him to tell everything.

Within few minutes, Kavin and Pooja came. I didn't look at his face as I have no courage to do that.

Kavin is saying that we should inform your parents about this. Pooja said.

No! Please.. Don't do like that.. I pleaded with fresh tears forming in my eyes.

The reaction which my amma, appa, anna and maya will give horrified me to the core.

Kanns.. Please don't cry! We're not going to tell them okay? Kathir tried to console me.

No kathir! We're going to inform them. It's not a small issue to hide this from our family. It's a damn big thing. They have every rights to know this! We don't have any rights to hide this from them.. We're NOT going to be with her in FUTURE! So they have to know this for her futher medications and all. Do you think panick attacks are normal? It's a damn serious one! Kavin said in one go not looking at me.

His voice is full of hurt! And it's hurting me!

Stop.. Please.. Don.. Don't cry.. Kavin said kneeling down in front of me. He wiped my tears and cupped my cheeks while shook his head from left to right.

Don't cry kannamma.. Please! I almost died when I see you there unconscious.. Don't.. Don't do this to me.. Don't cry... I can't see that.. He pleaded me.

You're trying to avoid me isn't it? You don't talk with me ryt? I asked him in tears.

I don't know why I asked this. Because all I wanted is him to be away from me.. But seeing his silence and ignorance.. I can't.. I can't tolerate that! I just can't 😖!

What are you saying? No.. Never in my life I'll do like that. No matter you love me or not kannamma.. I'll always love you. And I just want you to be happy.. I just want to see you smile.. That's it. He said while joining his forehead with mine. I didn't said anything.

Someone cleared their throat. We both got separated and looked at the nurse who came now.

Kathir and Pooja is nowhere! Where are they?

She removed the venflon needle from my hand.

Glucose bottle is over. You can now discharge her!  The nurse told. He nodded.

Within few minutes, Kathir and Pooja came inside. And they discharged me.

My mobile?.. Did you see it? I asked while coming out from the hospital.

It's here.. We're going to police station now! Are you okay? Kavin asked me. I looked at him confusingly.

Nothing.. Just to give your statement. He said. I nodded.

I took my mobile from him and checked the time. It's past 6!

I dialled my Anna's number. He attended it in 4 th ring.

Hello kannamma! Where are you? We are trying to call you for the past 3 hours. Amma and appa are worried about you! Anna asked worriedly.

Anna.. I'm fine. I.. I just came to Pooja's apartment. I slept here and my mobile is in silent mode. That's why I didn't attend your calls na. I'm sorry. I lied.

Pooja's apartment? Oh.. Okay then.. When are you co.. He was cut off by Maya.

Hey kanns! If you told me, I would have come with you na!!! She whined.

She hung up and looked at me while grinning.

I didn't said anything instead just nodded at her.

Then we went to police station. I'm little shaky to see him again. Kavin entwined my hands pressing it slightly. I looked at him. He blinked once like assuring me. I gave him a small smile.

We entered, police asked me some questions. I answered as calm as I could. He congratulated me for recording everything in my mobile.

Huh? Recording? When did I do that?

I asked my doubt. He replied that they found my mobile in recording mode. So I mistakenly touched recording button? That's great.. This is only thing which happened good today.

Automatically my eyes wandered through the bars searching that demon. But he is nowhere to be found.

Sir where is he? I asked frankly. He looked at me, then Kavin and then to me.

He's in hospital. He said.

Hospital? Why?

Why? Huh? I asked him with confusion.

He met with an accident. He said.

Come kannamma! It's getting late! Let's go! Saying this, Kathir dragged me.

What happened to him? Can anyone tell me please? I asked as soon as we came outside.

Nothing. He tried to escape and met with an accident. That's it. Now come! Kavin said.

Oh my god! I totally forgot about my scooty! It's in that park! I jerked remembering about my scooty.

Calm down.. We'll go and get it.. No one will theft that.. Okay? Pooja said. I nodded. We went to park in pooja's car. Kavin and Kathir in Kavin's bike. We reached there.

Thank god! My scooty is here only!

But I don't have keys. I missed it! We entered park and searched for it. I remembered that I left my keys in my purse. So it may be in the place where I sat previously.

I went there and searched. Thankfully it's inside the bush which is near the bench. I took it and we all went outside.

Kanns! You go with Kavin and Kathir. I'll pick up Maya and come okay? Pooja asked me.

Are they also coming with us?

Yes! Pooja said with a chuckle.

Did I say that loud?

I didn't said anything after that. I went to start my scooty. Kathir stopped me.

No.. You're not driving. I'll ride this and you come with Kavin. Kathir said.

I don't want to go with him. Already I'm trying to be away from him but the situations making it difficult for me. Now this! Yet I have no energy to argue nor for driving. So I gave up and silently went Kavin's bike.

If you're uncomfortable, I'll make Kathir to drive this while I drive your scooty. Is it okay? He asked me looking at the side mirror.

N..no it's okay. I almost whispered and hopped on his bike. I didn't put my hand on his shoulder instead I gripped the bike's seat tightly.

He stared at the mirror for a second then at his shoulder for a second and then started his bike.

We reached there. We went to her apartment, he opened it with keys. He made me sit in sofa.

Wait here.. I'll order something for dinner. Okay? He said. I nodded.

He took his mobile and walked away. Kathir came and sat besides me. He sighed. He rested his head on sofa closing his eyes. He looks exhausted.

I'm sorry! I said. He opened his eyes immediately looking at me confused.

I made you both suffer.. I said he cut me off furiously.

Just shut up kanns! You didn't do anything okay! We're hell scared about you.. But you're apologizing for saving you isn't it?  He said irritatingly.

That.. I didn't mean like that.. He glared me. That's it. I shut my mouth.

Kanns.. He called me. I looked at him.

I'm sorry for yelling at you. Hereafter don't talk like that.. Okay? Now smile. I badly want to see your smile. He said. I smiled. He too smiled.

Within few minutes, Kavin, Pooja and Maya came. Maya literally jumped on me.

Oh my god kanns! You know mom and dad was literally roasted me and anna lamenting about you! Maya said while hugging me.

Why? I mean it's not like I'm in danger ryt? And moreover that's in evening only and not in nyt or something ryt? Then why are they worrying this much! I asked my doubt.

Because it's not like they know about what happened.. So why this much worrying?🙄

😂they thought that you don't want to marry our machan and you're afraid of telling your denial to them so that you disappeared!😂 saying this, she started laughing.

Huh? What the hell?!!

What rubbish! I don't know whether I have to laugh or frown at this! I said with a chuckle.

Within minutes, food arrived. We all ate in silence. Pooja handed me medicines. I gulped it and we all sat in sofa. Till now, Kathir and kavin didn't make a move to leave.

Are they really going to stay with us?

You both are going to stay here? Huh? I asked Kathir. He chuckled.

Why are you panicking? Yes we are going to stay here. We can't sleep leaving you alone here with these two  crazy girls! He said and Kavin chuckled for the first time in this whole day.

Maya glared him while twisting her lips at him.

Did aththa and amma know that you both are staying here? I asked them.

I'm sure they'll never allow us to stay alone with boys. No matter they're gentlemen or not. We're not allowed to stay boys!

No! Kavin lied that he's going to stay with me. And I lied vice versa to my amma. Ezhil aunty neither know this. Kathir said with a shrug casually.

Why? I asked.

Why means what? They'll never allow us to stay. And as I already told earlier, we can't take risk by leaving you with these two! He said casually. Maya threw pillow on his face. He gritted his teeth and threw on her face but it landed on Pooja.

Pooja threw pillow on him. It landed on Kavin. Kavin threw, it landed on me. I took the pillow but didn't throw it. Kavin looked at me for a second.

There's a uncomfortable silence after that.

Okay! Enough.. Come.. It's sleeping time! Pooja said breaking the ice. We all nodded. And went to her room.

Kavin and kathir went to another room after saying something to Pooja. I settled in bed. It's a huge bed enough for three of us.

Pooja got call and went to balcony to talk. Maya came near me eagerly.

Kanns.. I want to ask you one thing! She said. I nodded.

Didn't.. Didn't you love Kavin machan? She said frankly making me widening my eyes.

Wh.. What are you asking? How did you get this idea? I asked her with disbelief.

Well, I guessed. It was prominent from your stealing glances and blushes. So.. Leave that.. Tell me didn't you love him? Then why you didn't you deny the marriage proposal then and there! She asked me casually.

N.. No maya.. You mistook it. I.. I didn't love him.. That's it. Saying this, I covered myself with duvet and cried. Sleep enveloped me within minutes because of medications.

KAVIN'S POV!

I looked at her face who's now sleeping peacefully like an angel! I kissed on her forehead and came outside of the room. I looked at the time, it's 11.45

Automatically my mind went back to today's morning 11.45 incidents.

She rejected me and left. I stood there rooted not able to process what had happened just now. Tears started brimming in my eyes involuntarily.

I didn't let them flow from my eyes. I don't know what to do next. I stood there for god knows how long. I had no idea why she said like that.

After what felt like eternity, I moved my legs. Something kicked by my shoe.. I looked at the thing..

It's her watch! Safety watch⌚!

Did she missed this here? God! What she'll do if she is in trouble!

I called her. She didn't pick up. I called her several times yet she didn't picked up! Damn!!!

I sent her msg about her watch in WhatsApp, inbox, fb, even in insta also. She didn't see anything!

I went to Ammu's apartment. As soon as going there, I made Pooja to call her ignoring questions from Pooja.

She called yet no response.

Damn!! This woman!!

Ammu started asking me several questions about how I proposed what she replied like that. I'm in no mood to explain her.

She rejected me Ammu! That's all I could say. She didn't ask me anything after that. She kept quiet.

That's not the problem now! She missed her watch! I said. She saw me perplexed.

Watch? What's so special in it? It's a simple watch only ryt? She asked me. Oh! She didn't know about this ryt!

I told her everything. She listened me carefully.

Oh my! What the... She sighed deeply.

Ammu.. I'm not having good vibes about her. I felt like something big is going to happen. I don't know if it's because of that bastard!.. I have to do something.. I said impatiently.

Uhmm.. Kavin.. Call Maya and ask where kannamma is in home or not! She said.

I called Maya. She said that she just arrived home from her friend's house and there's no kannamma there. It gives me so much bad vibes.

Ammu looked at me helplessly.

Suddenly an idea popped in my mind! Kannamma's mobile is with her right? Her watch is only missed. So if I press this 8o clock button, her mobile will send me her location ryt?

I prayed every god that she shouldn't switched off her mobile or forget to turn on the location and she shouldn't delete the ACT app.

I pressed the button. Within minutes, it sent the location to my mobile. I smiled victoriously.

Kathir called me before I could open the location. I attended it and he said that he also got notification from kannamma's number.

I totally forgot that his number to connected with this. I told him to come to Ammu's place. He came within 10 mins. I told him everything including my proposal.

We checked the location, it was moving and stopped just now in a isolated area. It made our doubt stronger.

We immediately called police and we went there as fast as we could. At that time, that bastard tried to kiss her who's unconscious now. I screamed her name.

He looked at us horrrified. I ran to him and beat him until my knuckles hurt... Until my anger calm down a little.. I kicked him. He spitted blood because of that.

Police and Kathir stopped me. But I'm in no mood to leave him alive. While they trying to stop me, he ran.

No! You're not going to escape from me!

I chased him. He went to road and crossed it. While crossing, one lorry hitted him! He almost flied and landed on floor. He lost his both legs and one hand in that accident.

I ran to him. Police came there. I called the ambulance.

I didn't wait for that. I handed him to police and ran to my kannamma!

At that time, Kathir splashing water on her face to gain her conscious yet she didn't. One police officer came to me.

She recorded everything in her mobile! We have solid evidence for all his.. So he'll be punished severely soon.. Come we'll take her to hospital. He said. I nodded. He sent the recording to his mobile and handed her mobile to me.

I scooped her in my arms and we went to hospital in the same ambulance where that bastard also there. I heard the recording in her mobile.

She faced him boldly! She went through a lot😔! I looked at her who's looking like sleeping peacefully. I kissed on her forehead.

I'll be with you! Nothing will happen to you!

I called ammu on the way and informed everything to her. We admitted both in the same hospital. I heard that he lost his both legs and right hand in that accident.

Seems like god punished him!

Then after that, kannamma gets consciousness. I, Kathir and Pooja went there. She's looking so pale and weak. I looked at intently yet she didn't give me a glance.

Is she hate me that much?💔

I didn't said anything as because I don't want to breakdown in front of her. She talked with Kathir, and she casually looked at me. That's it! I can't stand there anymore.. I left.

Pooja came outside and consoled me. I told her that we should inform her family. It's not a simple thing to hide from them. We have the responsibility to tell them everything.

Moreover, she's not going to be with me in future. So I can't look after her in future after her marriage.. The thought of her marrying someone sinked my heart💔.

And I also told her to keep kannamma with her tonight as I don't want her to be alone or maybe I don't want to be alone without her

We both went inside. Pooja informed her that we are going to tell her parents. She literally begged and cried. That's it! I can tolerate anything but her tears. It wounded my already broken heart.

I knelt down in front of her wiping her tears and cupping her cheeks. She asked me that I'm avoiding her!

It's a damn no!!

I'm not avoiding her.. I'm just trying to accept the truth that she'll never be mine.

After that, nurse came and we discharged her. We went to police station. She answered calmly. She asked about him. I don't want to tell her in details. She's already in enough stress. So I just said overall.

Then we went to park to take her scooty. I asked her if she's uncomfortable, she can go with Kathir. But she said it's okay.

I expected her to place her hands on my shoulder like always. But she didn't. It hurts again. Its true that Expectations hurts!💔

Then we went to Ammu's apartment. I ordered food and lied to my mom about I'm going stay in Kathir's home.

Then ammu and maya came and also food. We ate in silence. Soon maya and Kathir started pillow fight. At last I threw pillow on ammu but it landed on kannamma. I expect that she'll threw back at me. She didn't..

Well, expectations always hurts!!

Then we went to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night to use washroom. I went to their room to check on her.

At that time, she's sweating and breathing heavily. Probably a nightmare!

God!!!

I went near her and grabbed her hands in mine. I rubbed her head in a soothing way whispering soothing words in her ears. I hold her hand tightly yet carefully. I kissed her forehead. She became relaxed after some time.

After placing another kiss on her forehead, I tried to get up. But she didn't leave my hands. He held it tightly. Without any choice, I sat there. After sometime, she left my hand turning to other side. I slowly went to my room and slept.

I wish what she said is just a lie!
