Kannamma's pov!

Today is the day before thirumangalyam ponn urukuthal function.

We are all had our lunch and now relaxing in our terrace. Everyone is busy with the works.

Savitri aththa came to terrace with coffee cups for us. I, maya and her friend kavi and also sanju are all having a fun time now.

Aththa gave coffee and sat with us. Her face is not so happy now.

What happened aththa? Why are you looking sad now? Any problem? I asked her. She sighed.

I don't know though! She said again sighing deeply.

I placed my hand on hers squeezing little. Tears brimmed in her eyes the very next second.

Aththa tell us what happened? I asked with concern.

I called Rama krishna! She said slowly.

What he said? Aththa! I asked knowing the reason behind her worry.

I asked him to come for mughil's wedding. But he refused and he said he'll never return here!! I don't know why he's behaving like this! I know and I understand that he saw them dying.. But.. But.. Being in foreign country never help him to forget whatever happened ryt? She asked me with tears in eyes.

I placed my hand on her shoulder.

Aththa.. Please don't cry! He'll surely will understand one day and come to you. Just be strong. Sanju is now dependent on you! I tried to console her.

Why? Can't you look after her if I'm not here?? She asked me.

Aththa! Just stop this already! You're not going anywhere! It's true she is my little princess.. I'll take care of her till my last breath no matter what! But I want you to be with us! You know aththa, I don't even know how to change her diapers😝! I said with a pout which made her chuckle.

I know da pattu! I'll always be there with you! She said side hugging me.

Then after that, we chit chatted for sometime.

The next day that is today is thirumangalyam ponn urukuthal function.

We got up early and got ready for the function. And about Mughil anna, he is in full swing getting ready! He's super excited about this function not only this but also the day after tomorrow is his wedding.

I, maya and kavi came from our room after getting ready. We saw sanju in aththai's arms. As soon as she saw me, she started jumping in aththai's arms while smiling and babbling.

I took her from aththa and started cooing her in a childish tone. Maya started giggling seeing her.

I casually looked towards the entrance and saw him! He's looking handsome like always!

I smiled shyly at him in which he reciprocated with a dazzling smile.

Then the function gets started.

Kannamma see our brother what is he doing?!! Maya said. I turned and saw that he's talking with someone secretly.

We went near him.. Exactly near his ears.

Booooooo!!! We both shouted.

Ahh! Amma appa! He screamed panicking. We both burst out laughing seeing his face.

He shouted which we didn't even care. We both snatched the mobile in a fraction of second.

That's when we saw ilakya anni on mobile screen who was laughing badly.

Hi anni! How are you? I asked her ignoring Anna's glares.

Fine kanns! How are you both? You didn't call me recently.. Are you that much busy? She asked me with a pout.

We both fine anni! Maya said.

What! We didn't call? No anni! We called you but nowadays your mobile is always engaged! So what can we do?😉 I asked her with a wink.

She blushed with a shy smile.

Shut up kanns! You're lying! She said with a blush.

What?? No no.. Okok let's leave it. What are you both actually doing now? I asked.

Uhm.. Your anna just showed the event to me.. And also introducing your relations to me.. that's it. She said.

Ohh!! Then let us do that! Saying this maya snatched the mobile from me.

So this is my anna! Your soon to be husband.. Name, Mughilan. Working as a professor. Slightly mental in nature. Maya paused. Mughil anna was already glaring her and anni trying her best not to laugh. Maya turned to me.

So this is Kannamma! She's your sister in law. Chubby cute pumpkin 😜 she's intelligent because of being with her younger sister maya. Otherwise she's the dumbest person😉. Maya said in which I glared twisting my lips 🤨😒

That's when kathir and Kavin came and asked us what we were doing. Maya introduced them too. Soon they started their stupid arguments in which I stopped them and explained what really happened.

Then they talked with anni. Pooja also talked with them. That time, kathir told that Pooja is his girlfriend.

I know his flirty nature. He'll never leave a single chance to flirt with any girl. Moreover, if that real also, that's not a wrong ryt? But maya and anna was shocked.

Then as usual he explained his sentences. I chuckled at his reaction. He's always like this.

Then after that they handed the mobile to anna. But I snatched it and asked anna to give 2000. But that stupid snatched it from me.😒 I pouted at him.

Later that, I and maya gave coffee to all our guests and relatives. When we went to Kavin and Kathir, I forwarded the cup to Kavin.

We both locked our eyes. Neither of us averted our gaze till the loudspeaker sound came. We both jerked. And that time Kathir asked for juice. I know he's just kidding and messing up with Maya.

But we have juice also. So why not give it to him?.. I went and came with juice and gave it to him.

Then within some time, everybody went to eat lunch which is in terrace.

I too followed him but stopped when I felt little looseness and the zip sound in my back. I went to my room and checked the dress.

As like I guessed, the zip was open!

Oops! What can I do now??

I came outside to search maya or amma or savitri aththa or anyone. But no one was there. Usually I'd never wear these zip type chudis.. But today Maya only suggested me to wear this!

I tried to close the zip but all in vain. I struggled with my dress sticking to the wall.

That time Kavin came there. I was totally embarrassed. I tried to act normal by asking what is he doing here. He asked me the same.

May be he can help me searching maya ryt?

Okay! I told him what my problem is.. He just stared me with blank expression before he went to search maya.

He came after 10 mins alone saying that maya was nowhere to be found and maybe she went to terrace for lunch.

I have no choice than asking him for help. I asked him hesitantly that will he help me. He's still in his blank face. He just nodded. I asked him to close his eyes.

His face changed to little hurt. I don't know why but it disturbed me. But I didn't say anything wrong. I know he's a gentleman but still I have to say that as I'm a girl.

But within second, his face turned understanding and he said sure. Now I'm relieved.

I turned and he touched the zip after few seconds. He did it. While doing that, his hands brushed against my skin which gives chill through my spine.

It was like electricity passed through me. My stomach churned whenever his fingers came in contact with my skin. It was like a torture.. A sweet torture..

After he did and I turned. He didn't saw me and me too. I smiled shyly with a thanks. He pouted and said that he's my friend. I surrendered wapusing my thanks.

Then after that, we went to terrace and ate our lunch. And then they all went to their home.

The next day that is today. I called Jo in morning where she'll be here. She said she'll be here at morning sharp 5o clock.

Now the time is past 9 at night.

Elders are all in their rooms already went to sleep.

I , maya and kavi were in our room putting mehendi on our palms.

Kavi is good at this. So she put mehendi on both our palms. Later she put mehendi on her palm.

While putting that, she asked me whether I want to write any initials or names like that teasingly winking at me.

My thoughts immediately went to Kavin! I don't know why he always came to my mind especially in these type of situations.

I quickly shrugged it off. And nodded negatively at her.

Kavi put K in my hand 😉 maya said winking at kavi!

What??😳😳 why?? K?? Who's that? I asked shockingly. Appa name is ilamaaran.. So I is ryt.. But why K?

That's my crush kanns! Don't you remember? I told na.. My senior Karthi! Don't know how long he'll be here in college.. Because within 2 months, I'll be going to final year and he'll finish the college.. Maya said while sighing dreamily.

I punched her head which she hissed in pain.

You crazy! Don't do like that! Kavi don't put any intials in her hand okay? I asked and kavi nodded in which Maya pouted.

Uhmm.. Kavi can you put K in my hand? I asked kavi.

What? K? Who's that kannamma!? Maya asked with shock.

I said but she eyed my suspiciously which I ignored.

Then within 2 hours, we three finished drawing mehendis.

I saw the letter K in my hand with a smile.

Is this love? Am I in love? With Kavin??

I just fell for him in our first meeting itself.. I thought that may be an infatuation but after that, I slowly developed feelings for him. I never had felt this way before for any boys. He's the first and hope he's the last!

His smile, voice, simple gestures, his touches.. Everything.. Everything flutters my heart in seconds!

What is he actually doing to me??

I don't know about his feelings.. But.. I can't lose him.. I just can't. Just thinking him with another one makes me felt vulnerable.. Then what if he really?? No no... Pooja?? They're just friends ryt? But what if?

I blushed at my own thougts.

With these thoughts, I dozed off.

The next day is wedding. We all got up at 3 in morning, I got ready in my silk saree and maya in her designer saree.

This time, savitri aththa helped me to drape saree and to maya also.

After getting ready, we all went to wedding hall at half past 5. I called Jo. She said she'll be in 10 mins and she'll directly come to wedding hall. I sent the location.

We reached the hall. Within minutes, jo came and hugged me along with surya and diya.

I took diya from surya's arms and cooed her.

Who's this kannamma? Savitri ma asked while coming with sanju in her hands.

Surya and Jyothika.. Aththa.. I told you right? My collegue and TL!. I said and aththa nodded knowingly and smiled.

Within minutes, sanju and diya started playing.

Where is kalyana ponnu(bride)? Jyo asked me.

I nodded smilingly leading to the bride room. There ilakya anni was already in her wedding saree and pooja helping her in wearing jewels.

As soon as we entered, pooja smiled widely at us.

Voahh!! Kanns, Maya! You are looking stunning!!!! Even I can take my eyes from you!!

Oops! Forget to introduce.. She's my colleague. Jyothika and her husband Surya is my TL! He's also here.

And Jo, she is pooja! My anni's cousin and a sister to me! She's a fashion designer in London! I introduced both of them.

Involuntarily my eyes searched him.. But he's nowhere.. May be with anna??

Well Kavin and Kathir were in Cooking area to check on them! Pooja answered my unasked question while smiling at me teasingly.

Oh.. Ok.. I said hesitantly. My cheeks turned pink hearing his name itself.

Kanns! Did I miss something? Jyo whispered in my ear.

Uh.. That's nothing Jo! Just concentrate on the wedding okay? I tried to divert the topic. She didn't ask anything instead she eyed me suspiciously.

Then after that I, pooja, maya, kavi and Jo everyone started chit chatting while farding anni.

Soon the camera man entered the room holding a camera telling that he want to click pics of anni single..

So we all stood in one side and he started taking pics. We all tried to make Ilakya anni smile by teasing her. She literally laughed actually.

While taking pics, the camera man literally drooled us especially Maya. I guess others didn't notice.. But it just makes me uncomfortable.

So I excused myself and dragged Maya outside without anyone's notice.

Why you dragged me kanns? She asked me little annoyed.

Don't you notice that camera man is literally drooling you!! I asked her.

Is it so? She asked me confused.

Yup! Be careful around him. I don't feel good about him okay? I asked her she just nodded.

Suddenly I felt someone eyes on me.. But I didn't feel uncomfortable but little self conscious.

I wandered my eyes through the hall and spotted him and Kathir coming from the groom's room. They both saw us with O mouth!

Kavin is in dhoti and white shirt with silk border towel. He's handsome😍😍. That dimple in his cheek while smiling.. Uff!! I fell in that...  He smiled at me shyly after few seconds of blank expression. Same goes with Kathir. But his eyes is 25% on me and balance 75% on Maya.

Kavin didn't utter a word in the whole time. Kathir shook kavin.

Kathir said in which Kavin pouted.

Hey I said that absentminded da.. Just leave it okay? Kavin said smiling sheepishly.

Where is sanju? Kathir asked me.

I pointed towards surya and my mama who's now chatting with sanju and diya in their arms.

Kathir holded my wrist suddenly.

Hey kanns! What's this? You put mehendi! It's nice. Let me see it! He said and looked at my palms.

Oops! He'll find the K word!!

Wow! It's cool! He said. I guess he didn't see that.

Wait! What's this? K? Who is K? Kavin now held my wrist asking me confused. Then it turned into a smile and his ears went pink.. Is he blushing?? But why?

Who else da? It's me! Kathir! K for Kathir!😎 Kathir said proudly making me chuckle. He'll never change. Kavin frowned

Haan.. Hann. In your dreams! Before I could open my mouth, maya answered him while glaring him. He twisted his lips at her!

Leave him! Tell me who? Kavin asked me curiously.

My mind screamed.. But I shut it off.

Uhmm. No one.. It's me... K for Kannamma! That's it.. Yeah  I answered nervously.

Hey kathrika.. Show me your hand then! Kathir said taking Maya's hand in his.

He saw and immediately spotted something and a shock reaction appeared on his face.

Hey kathrika! You're also putting K! Is it me?? You're in love with me?? Oh my god! How I didn't notice this. But kathrika.. I can't accept you.. You're way too younger than me.. I'm sorry.. I'm sorry kathrika. Kathir said dramatically which made Maya's eyes wider.

Maya took her hand from his hold immediately.

What the hell are you talking? It's my crush name! Karthi.. My senior🙈 she said dreamily while sighing.

I glared her. She smiled sheepishly with a shrug.

Who's that senior? Now Kathir's tone is little pissed off.

Why I have to tell you! He's a handsome hulk🙈 in my college. Every girls had a crush on him including me. I'm going to miss him after this sem! Maya said dreamily again.

Enough enough! Whatever! He'll be gone after this sem.. So first concentrate on your studies rather than some stupids. Okay? Kathir said annoyed.

I know what to do and what not to do.. You don't have to tell me that! Maya said equally annoyed.

I and Kavin exchanged a knowing look and I dragged Maya inside.

That time, the photographer was gone.

Within few minutes, my anna came to mandap.. And the priest asked anni to come.

Then the marriage rituals started. My anna and anni sat in mandap. My anna literally drooled my anni without even blinking his eyes.

Being the first sister, I have to tie the two knots for my anni. But I'm unmarried na. So some rituals have been done for that also.

Then the auspicious time came,

Getti melam.. Gettimelam!! The priest yelled. And with that, my anna tied the knot around anni's neck which I continued the other two knots. Then he put Vermilion on anni's forehead and on mangalyam too.

Everyone sprinkled yellow rice(atchathai) on them. I looked at Kavin who's now wiping the single tear escaped from the corner of his eyes.

My and his parents saw the whole scene with aww and contented smile.

The feeling around the hall was completely a bliss!

Then later that, every other relatives and guests went to first floor for breakfast.

Pooja came and dragged us to eat breakfast along with jo surya diya too.

We all went and sat. Kathir and Kavin and some others were serving in full swing.

Seeing us, Kathir and kavin came towards us and made us to sit in one table.

The breakfast was served by them.

Kavin came with gulabjamun.. He put two in each of our leaves. Kathir put idly and he teased maya by not putting idly on her leaf. She frowned and snatched from my leaf. I pouted. And then kavin hitted kathir's head in which he pouted and served correctly then.

Mughil anna and anni were already eaten before their wedding in their room itself.

After our breakfast, we went down stairs and helped anna and anni to pose some pics. During the whole time, that idiot photographer drooled Maya which irked me to the core.

Then the lunch time almost came. I went to washroom which is in the back of the hall.

The scene before shocked me to the core!

What's happening here?????

Kathir was fighting with that photographer! But blood is coming from kathir's forehead where there is a deep scratch..
