Its was the next day in evening at Kannamma's home!

Everyone were sitting in the hall discussing about the wedding!

At that time Ilamaaran's mobile started ringing, he took and attended it as it was from his father(Kannamma's grandfather) Balamurugan!

In call!

Ilamaaran: Hello appa! How are you? How is amma? Is she ok?

Balamurugan: Everyone is fine here including me pa.. What about you all?

IM: All fine pa!

BM: Maara.. I want to talk to you about one thing! Are you free now?

IM: Yes appa.. I'm.. What's the matter?

BM: It's about Mughil's marriage only! How's things going? Did you book wedding hall and invitations?

IM: No pa.. As you know, we didn't start this things in Aadi month.. That's why pa. Now only I thought to call Karthi regarding this pa..

BM: Thank god! You didn't do anything ryt? Then listen me.. Will you held my only grandson's marriage here in Thirunelveli? I and your mom are already very old and we can't come there by train or bus as we have arthritis.. You know na... Mughil is my only grandson from both of my sons.. Yes.. I had Prathap and Ramakrishnan from your sister but still Mughil is my official progeny ryt? I just want to see his wedding da.. Can you do me this favor?

IM: Appa, I can understand you totally but I don't know what karthi will say to this.. I'll ask him and then will tell you appa!

BM: OK da.. But Karthi is your childhood friend ryt? As per my memory, his native is near Thiruchendur, isn't it?

IM: Yes appa, but he didn't go there and didn't talk with his father for years as he didn't allow his granddaughter pooja to stay with them. Karthi was upset with his father's decision that he sent that girl to abroad for her studies in spite of Karthi's pleadings to let her stay with him as karthi didn't want her to suffer with loneliness without her parents. So they both were not good in terms.. But I'll ask him appa!

BM: I can understand what you are trying to say Maara.. But didn't you know? Functions and festival were held to unite the separated families and friends. So just ask him and convince him da! It's a chance to unite them! Don't you think?

IM: Yes appa.. You're absolutely right! I'll talk with him and let you know the final decisions appa!

They both hung up after talking some random things.

Mughil: What happened pa? What thatha(grandpa) told? You talked with him seriously for more than half an hour. Anything important?

IM: Yes pa. Your grandpa asked us to held your wedding in our native as your grandparents were not able to travel in bus and train in this age. So, he asked me to discuss this with Karthi.

Maya: Wowwwww!!! Thirunelveli 😍!!!! We are going to thirunelveli after a long time! That too for Anna's wedding! Yayyy!!

Kannamma: Appa please pa.. Agree with thatha and held his wedding in our native. It has been more than 4 years since we went there! We also want to see everyone and it will be extra enjoyment!!!🤩🤩

Mughil: Hey mentals! First let him talk with Mama(uncle) and then shout like you want!

He said patting both of his sister's head. They just pouted.

Ezhil: What are you waiting for? Call Karthi anna honey!

IM: Okay okay!

Even though Ilamaaran accepted his father's request, he is still thinking that what will his children will react if he decided to held his son's wedding in his native because they three were grown up in Chennai. But after seeing their excitement, he didn't waste another minute to pass and immediately called his friend Karthigeyan.

Karthigeyan: Hello Maara! How are you? How is my children?

IM: All fine da. Actually I called regarding something important. Are you free now? Can we talk?

K: Sure da! I'm always free. Tell me! What's the matter?

IM: Actually my father called just now and asked me about the wedding arrangements. He told me to do one thing.. But I don't know what will you say about this!

K: Hey why are you talking like a stranger. Just order me what he asked!

IM: He asked me to held Mughil's wedding in our native. Because Mughil is his only grandson so that he wants to see in his place as they can't come here by bus or train. And moreover, everyone were excited about this. So this is it.. What's say?

K: Uhmm... That.. Actually, I told you right about I and my father's issues. We both are not in good terms. I don't know how will he react..

IM: Karthi.. Don't get me wrong. He is your father. You shouldn't be like this forever with him. You should talk with him sooner or later.. So why shouldn't you use this as a chance to unite with him?

K: You had a point Maara.. Okay.. Let me talk with Kayal and others about this and will call you back! Okay?

IM: okay da.. Bye.. Give my greetings to all..

They both hung up.

Here in Kavin's home after this phne call.

Kayal: What happened? Isn't it from Maaran anna?

Karthi: Yes Kayal. He only! He said one important thing.

Kayal: What?? Wait nga.. Let me call others then..
     Kavinnn.....     Ilakyaaa...   Ammuuuu... Everyone come here!!!

Trio in chorus: Wait ma.. We are coming!!

Everyone came and seated in hall eagerly watching Karthigeyan for why he called everyone. He first cleared his throat before speaking something.

Karthi: Actually Maaran called and discussed about wedding arrangements. He told that his father asked him to held the wedding in his native as Mughil is his only grandson. I don't know what your grandfather will react about this as we both were not in good terms.

Kayal: Enough nga.. Just stop your good for nothing fights already. Actually it's a great idea. We also didn't go to Thiruchendur because of your stupid fight with Mama. Don't you think this  is the right chance to talk with Mama?  And think at least once.. Is he at fault or you?

Karthi: What are you talking? Am I at fault?

Kayal: Yes! You are only at fault! He is cent percent right!

Karthi: What are you saying Kayal! He only sent our Ammu to foreign instead of our pleading to let her stay with us.. And what he said? Just because we have Kavin here.. He didn't sent her here.. Why? Why didn't he trust us? Why he also behave like others??

Kayal: Noo.. It's not about trust issues nga.. It's about foresight! Just imagine.. Kavin and Ammu are good friends now. If Ammu is stayed here also, there is no change in it ryt? But when we search a groom or bride for Ammu or Kavin.. Then it will be a problem ryt? Everyone will talk ridiculous about their relationship. Or if we arrange marriage for two of them also, everyone will talk like they both living together already before their marriage too.. Just think can we able to tolerate this?? We too have one daughter here! Can we tolerate this kind of talking? And imagine about Ammu and Kavin! What'll happen? We are more liberal than Mama yet we can't able to tolerate this means what will be his reaction then??

Karthi was taken aback by his wife's words.. It's true.. How much we can say that we didn't care about what others say.. But.. Deep down, we are conscious about others words! He didn't thought this in this way.. He felt bad for his dad as he didn't talk with him for years..

Karthi: Uhmm.. You're right though.. But will he accept my apology?

Ilakya: Yayyy! Finally, appa agreed to talk with thatha! You don't worry appa.. We will take care of that!!!

Ammu: Then Ilakya's wedding will be in Thiruchendur ryt!?? Yippee 🤩🤩🤩

Kayal: Are you really okay with this??

Karthi just smiled nodding his head.

Kayal: Oh my god! First time in history, you agreed with me without any silly arguments! Kavin.. Check whether it's raining or not!

Karthi: Enough.. Enough.. Don't tease me. I always agree when someone said good and right things! 

He said twisting his lips at his wife which made everyone to chuckle.

Kavin: Okay! So this Raatchasi's (demon's) marriage is going to be held in Thiruchendur!? Then may I book the wedding hall which is owned by Saravanan uncle? There is only 2 weeks left! So we have to hurry everything like invitations and train tickets.. Ryt??

Saravanan uncle is their long relation and he owned one wedding hall in Thiruchendur. Even though he is a long relation, he is close with them.

Kayal: You are right Kavin! Before that, let me talk with your thatha.. And your appa with Maaran uncle okay?

Kavin: Okay ma.. But we have to at least held a small reception here as our friends and neighbors and others who helped us in our hard times are here only.. So what's say appa?

Karthi: You are right da.. But we have to talk with Maaran about this!

Kayal: Then what are you waiting for? Call him!

Karthi called Maaran and asked about this. Actually here also, Mughil was asking the same because he has friends and colleagues here only! So Maaran agreed happily.

Later that, Kayal talked with her father in law. He was beyond happy to know that they were coming to their native for Ilakya's marriage. He was quite rich with his own house and agri field along with cows, hens and all. But because of their small misunderstandings, karthi didn't seek his father's financial help for anything.

Here in Kannamma's home after hearing that Karthi agreed to this.

Mughil: Appa.. Then may I book train tickets for all.. Because there is no much time and it is difficult to get sleeper tickets now!

Maya: Why are you even asking this dumbo brother! Just book it!

Ezhil: Before that, tell Kavin that you are booking tickets for them too. Otherwise he'll also book tickets.

Kannamma: You are right amma! And we have to start invitations works too ryt?. Discuss this also!

Mughil: Yeah. You both are right!.. I'll call him.

Saying this, he called Kavin.

Kavin: Hello Machan! Actually I also thought to call you!

Mughil: I know machan.. I'm going to book tickets for all of us.. So you don't have to. Okay? And about invitations.. There is not much time left.. So..

Kavin: Yes machan! I also thought about this. Actually, I know a frnd who is working in Invitation shop. I can make him hurry and get invitations in 4 days.. But how many invitations is the matter..

Kavin: I don't know actually. Here also, we need more than 500 invitations..

Mughil: Then we'll do one thing! What about giving orders in 2 shops? Then we'll get it in less number of days.

Kavin: Good machan! Then we'll do like that! And Don't worry about wedding hall! I already booked it as our uncle owned one in our native. So just search a hall here for reception alone machan.

Mughil: Wow! Great to know! About train tickets.. How many I have to book first?

Kavin: Uhmm.. First book for both our families including Kathir.. I'll tell later about my other friends and Ilakya's friends.

Mughil: Okay machan! I'll talk to you later.. Bye👋👋

He hung up. Then his family started talking about his marriage in native! About arrangements and all.

The real festival begins now!

Mughil slowly escaped from them and went to his room to talk with Ilakya!

And here our kannamma and Maya are clever to notice this and followed him to his room.

He laid down on his bed sighing with relief and took his mobile started dialling her. Kanns and Maya entered his room like a cat.

He started talking with his love without noticing his cute devils!

Maya and Kannamma smiled sheepishly at him. He glared both of them. But then smiled.

Kannamma gestured him to talk with her anni who's still in line. Mughil gave a oops reaction placing the mobile over his ear.

Why are you calling me by my name? Are you angry with me or what??

No.. No.. Nothing like you think! Yes.. Both Kannamma and Maya are fine!

He indirectly tells her that they both were near him. And Kannamma and Maya looked at him curiously smiling teasingly at him.

What?? Why are you blabbering? I didn't ask about them now ryt?

He sighed in relief that she finally understood him. The kannamma and Ilakya started talking about wedding and about their families and natives. Even Maya too talked with her.

The days passed so quick. Mughil booked tickets the next day for both their families. And later that, he booked tickets for his friends and neighbors after a week.

Here, Kavin got invitations within 4 days. Their both families started inviting everyone here in Chennai.

They are going to leave Chennai 3 days before 'Thirumangalyam ponn urukuthal' function as groom's family have lots of works to arrange everything because it will be held in groom's home only!

The gold for making 'Mangalyam' (sacred thread) will be bought by groom's side. Mughil's family going to make mangalyam in 7 pawns. It's also a tradition to make pawns in odd number.

The day came finally to leave Chennai!!

Kavin's POV!

I was really happy that my appa finally patched up with my thatha. Everything went so fast as I didn't even get the chance to talk with her properly in these week. But I get to call her often to check on her about if she's still disturbed by her past or not.

She seems to be okay recently and that too after knowing about the wedding in native!

And about kathir! He was hell annoyed by his dog manager as he didn't give him leave for Ilakya's marriage. But he managed to come by his lies!

Now we are waiting in railway station for train. It takes nearly 12 hours to reach Thirunelveli from here. We all are going to reach in Thirunelveli first, later we'll be leaving to Thiruchendur from there as my thatha will send car to pick up us.

Actually, we are not exactly in Thiruchendur and they are not exactly Thirunelveli. Our native is a small village in Thiruchendur district and their native is a small village in Thirunelveli district.

Everyone arrived here now! They all waved at us. We waved at them back!

We shared our greetings with a smile. Kannamma is already killing me with her cute smile.

Kathir mobile started ringing suddenly. He took his mobile and his face changed annoyed after seeing the caller id.

I know who is that!! His manager😂

Recently he is behaving like Kathir's annoying girlfriend! It is worth watching. Let me watch!

I chuckled at him. Everyone except our parents saw me curiously for why I'm laughing at him. I simply gestured them to enjoy with me watching him. They listened and watched him.

He attended the call.. I snatched his mobile and put that call in loud speaker. He glared me.

Dei thadi maade! Mariyathaiya Kuduthudu da!

(Hey Buffalo! Give me.. I'm warning you!!)

Kathir said while glaring me.

His manager asked him from his call. He hitted his forehead in annoyance.

No sir.. No sir.. I thought that this is the doctor who's now attending my paati(grandma)! He's saying that he didn't give me my grandma's life.. So I scolded him like that sir

Kathir replied nervously. Yes! He asked permission saying that his grandma is serious in hospital 😂! But the truth is she already died before he born!

That manager replied seriously. We all controlled our laughter by placing our palms on our mouth.

Now where are you Kathir? Didn't you already  with your grandma? His manager asked.

No sir. I'm now in railway station to go to my native as she is there only sir. Kathir said.

Oh when will you reach there? His manager asked.

Thirunelveli?? But as per my knowledge, your native is Thiruvannamalai ryt? He asked confused.

Yes sir.. I mean my dad's native is Thiruvannamalai and my mom's is Thirunelveli. And this grandma is my mom's mother. So we are going there sir. He said.

I touched the cut button on his Mobile's screen. He snatched it from me the next second with a glare.

We all started laughing at him not able to control our laughter anymore!😂😂
