An update? It's...probably as likely as you think

EDIT: Not an exact TW but just like— this chapter gets a lil' intense, emotions wise?? Idk—

Tom groaned into his pillow that he had over his face at the continuous sound of clicking that had been coming from the head of the cellblock for the past two hours, "Virgil. It's been a week. He's not coming."
"Ah shut your face." Virgil growled.
"And here I thought you two were on better terms." Lea yawned from where he had been sleeping beside Tom, on the bottom bunk.
Virgil stopped from where he paced at the head of the cellblock, the clicking of his dull shoes silenced for the time being, he looked at Tom, "We could be here for a thousand years and while I may just forgive you for making my boyfriend deaf, giving me a gimpy leg, and god knows what else, I sure as heck won't forgot it."
Tom frowned with a roll of his eyes, "It's only fair, you ruined my life, I ruined yours." He gave a glaring smirk.
"See, you keep saying that, dear, but you never elaborate." Lea sighed, putting his hands under his head in a relaxed manor.
"It doesn't matter." Virgil and Tom both said in unison.
"Tomato, Tamata." Lea shrugged.
Virgil let out a huff before sitting down in the front corner, not in front of the door, of the room, pulling out his pen and scribbling on his jumpsuit.
"They wash those once a week, you realize, so, all of your art and notes and whatever'll, will just be washed away." Tom flopped back, scooting close up against Lea.
"Good; More room of doodle." Virgil mumbled.
"Are you ever going to leave this room?" Tom cocked an eyebrow.
"Lea brings me food. You keep me annoyingly with company. I've got my pen, I'm fine- plus it's lights out right now, the doors are all shut tight and locked." Virgil blinked.
"He's safe here, at least." Lea commented.
"Only a matter of time before Brian finds out about him though." Tom frowned at Lea.
"Brian?" Virgil looked up.
Tom sat up again to look at Virgil and nod, "The brains of everything around here."
"Meaning?" Virgil set his pen back in his pocket.
"Meaning," Lea sat up with a stretch before sighing, "Meaning that he knows everything that goes on here, who's who, what's what, where's where, why and why, ya' know, everything."
Virgil squinted in thought before he peeked up a little, "Do you think he'll know where Roman is?"
Lea seemed noticeably unsettled by the tone of enthusiasm Virgil held at the thought of getting help from Brian, sharing an unsure glance with Tom.
"What?" Virgil looked back at forth between them, studying their gaze.
"It's just...he's not exactly the most...humble, of people." Tom chewed his cheek.
"Everything comes with a cost- and it's usually big when it comes to him, personal stuff that he can use against you later." Lea's eyes darkened from behind his already dark shades.
"Okay, cool, I'm an open book."
"So was I." Lea shifted.
"What do you mean was?" Virgil leaned forward.
Lea twiddled his thumbs and Tom quickly interjected to defend him, "What he means is that you're safer just avoiding Brian."
"And since when have you started to care about me?" Virgil scoffed at Tom.
Tom took a moment to respond, "I've always cared, just neither of us has realized."

Roman let out a few shaky breaths, taking a minute before flopping down onto his back, it hitting the cushy floor beneath him.
White walls.
White floors.
White jumpsuit.
It was almost like being in the hospital, just worse.
He felt like this room's purpose was doing the opposite of what it should be designed for, and was slowly nipping Roman's sanity away, bit by bit.
He'd been here for nearly a week and he was sick of it.
"I want to leave." Roman whispered, sitting up, "Let me out!" He ran to, what he assumed was, the front of the room, and banged his fists on the white-cushion wall, smashing them against the surface, "Let me leave!" He screamed until his fists hurt.
"Mr.Princeton, if this behavior continues, we'll have no choice but to revoke you of your resources." A voice overhead sounded.
"Shove that attitude." Roman grumbled before slumping against the wall, "This isn't helping..." There was no response. He clutched his knees to his chest before moving his hands to his disheveled hair, not being capable of being brushed since he was in the isolation tank. It sucked here, completely and utterly. He needed to get out, he had to.
How, how, how... Roman rubbed his temples as if it would help him think. He needed a starting point...
A door...
This room had to have a safe entrance, and while he was unconscious upon entering, he was sure he could find it. He began with placing his hands to the walls and feelings against them, for any abnormal ridges or change in material.
One thing alone was driving him, besides his desire to brush his hair, he needed to make sure that Virgil was alright. He had to make sure of that, but, nobody would answer him. He needed to see Virgil...his sweet, gentle features and rich, purple bangs, much like his own. He longed for the younger, freckled boy until his sheer will led his hands to a particular slot in the wall.
Upon further inspection, Roman felt the frame of a door, and the ridge of a lock.
He grinned, this was a start.
Feeling around the lock area he squinted at it.
A small red light was flashing...a magnetic lock maybe? Magnetically charged? Whatever it was, it was charged with a battery, so it seemed.
And one thing Roman knew, was his hearing aid was also charged with a battery- and, with any luck, it'd be of right strength and frequency, which, it should be, considering how hardcore expensive it was to make and purchase.
Roman let out a shallow sigh, "Virgil..." he murmured before taking out the hearing aid.
If it had to be the last thing he'd hear before taking the device off, it would of course be the name of the one he loved the most.
Roman proceeded with rubbing the device along the lock's area until he heard a click and the door cracked open. Letting out a cry of triumph, Roman staggered to his feet and out the door, into an eggshell-colored hallway, looking left there was nothing, and looking right- he was only able to for a few seconds, if not only moments, before he was met with the blowing tackle of a doctor. He let out a scream that he couldn't hear before he felt something being thrown into his ear, hardly connecting, but he could still hear what the doctor was saying, "I apologize for this, Mr.Princeton, but your resources will be confis..." He didn't hear the rest as his hearing aid was taken away, and he suddenly realized what this meant.
Thrown back into the world of silence that he'd lived in for nearly a year, he began to thrash about, shrieking, pleading, doing everything he could, but to no avail, as he was soon thrown back into his cell, hitting the cushy floor with a gentle thud.
His mind went blank, along with all the wonderful sounds he had just so recently begun to get used to again.
His mind was reeling, and nothing was clicking into place, simply pain, pain from a shot he hadn't remembered being given, pain that took over his entire body as he lay there, in a world of darkness.
The only clear thought left in his head, was Virgil.
