I quickly pulled out of Vaia's head and back into reality where I was sitting in a freezing cave doing nothing. Watching Vaia's back from across the room, she slowly turned her head to look at me, and shook it, mouthing "Stay. Out."

I quickly looked at the ground and pretended I hadn't done anything, my head spinning with all I had found out about Vaia. Sure, I'm Aytigin too, but she's on a completely different level, ten times more powerful than me. The most common Aytigin people are from Ganymede, but there's no way she's from there. Vaia is way too powerful to have a common moon like that as her home.

She is probably from one of the farthest moons, but which one? I know Aiven is from IO because its so hot, Torren is from Titan because of its gravitational pull, Kalani is from Ganymede because it has the most water, so her power is more common. Citali is from Oberon, and I am from Mimas. 

Not surprisingly, I don't know where Vaia and Zeno are from because im too scared to ask, plus Vaia surely wouldn't know, and Serein won't talk to me. As I'm so very deep in thought, Citali comes back over and sits down next to me, again. Wow, I didn't think she would ever talk to me again. Realizing I was staring, I say "Uh, hello?"

Citali goes bright red, and squeaks "Can I ask you something?" "Uh, sure?" Was my reply. Citali breathes a sigh of relief and her face color goes back to normal. Quietly, she says "I...I don't want to say it out loud, could you, umm.....read my thoughts?"

Hesitating because of what happened last time, I say "Are you sure?" and she hesitates as well, going a lighter shade of pink, then tells me "Y-yes, I'm ready." Alright, I think, here we go, and I touch my hand to Citali's, which causes her to immediately fall over, which should be impossible as we are both sitting down. 

"Uh, it's ok," I say trying to calm her down (man this girl can change color) "I have to touch your hand, or it won't be as clear." "Oh." came her muffled reply through the sweatshirt she was wearing over her head now. 

Why was she acting all strange? I don't think it's that big of a deal I heard her thinking that I was cute. Then again, I don't really understand girls. Citali came out of her cocoon, embarrassed, and    sat normally. I took her hand, and listened. Can you read Zeno's mind for me? She asked over and over. I think he has a crush on Vaia, and I want to see if I'm right. 

I pulled out of Citali's head and burst out laughing at her stupid request. She quickly shushed me, obviously panicked as she kept looking back at Zeno, who wasn't paying attention to anything as usual. "Sure, but why?" I whispered. "So that I can tease Zeno and Vaia about it." she whispered back. 

"You could do that, if you have a death wish." I said softly while looking at Zeno. She laughed quietly and said "Just do it." Focusing on Zeno, I tuned into his thoughts trying to catch something about Vaia.

But,  almost as soon as I entered his consciousness he snapped up out of his trance, shot up, and gave me a murderous look. Then he growled "Stay. Out. Of. My. Head!" I heard his command, but only halfway as I still hadn't left it. That's when I found what I was looking for. He glanced back at Vaia who had shrunk into the shadows, out of the path of his wrath.

Listening to his thoughts, I caught it, though it was only a brief second: *curse* She's only been here a day, doesn't remember me, and already thinks I'm a monster. Then he walked briskly in my direction Oh crap I thought, but he wasn't headed for me. He walked straight out of the cave and into the darkness of the night. 

Now I know two things: Zeno was a part of Vaia's past, and she somehow doesn't remember him.
