I graduated a few days ago and it's my birthday so why not celebrate with a chapter 🤩

"We're going to have to ask your mom for help."
"No!" Jungkook immediately shouted. "You can't tell her or else I'll get into more trouble."
"Jungkook, we have to," said Hoseok. "We've been researching for a few days now and haven't found anything in the books. We need help from your mom who knows this kind of stuff that way we can turn Taehyung's family back.
"You'd rather be stuck flipping through books all day than to ask your mom for some help and turn my family back to normal as soon as possible?" Asked Taehyung. "That's very selfless of you," he said sarcastically.
Jungkook narrowed his eyes at Taehyung. "Fine, but I'll ask my mom about it. I don't want you guys telling her the whole story. I'll just ask how the cursed artifact looks like. Seokjin came into the store the other day because my mother told him to tell me to not sell it or something like that. I don't remember, Seokjin is always getting on my nerves."
"Whatever, let's just go," said Taehyung as Jungkook was closing up the store.
They headed back up to Mount Olympus where they found the rest of the common gods and their kids sitting together at the dinner table.
"Remember, you two have to pretend like you're a couple if Seokjin brings it up," whispered Hoseok as they all headed to the table to find a seat.
"Taehyung?" Seokjin asked after he felt Jungkook taking his seat beside him. "What are you doing here? Having dinner with your boyfriend?"
Jungkook grabbed Taehyung's warm hand and intertwined their fingers. He raised their arms so that Seokjin could see their hands. "Yeah, he's having dinner with us today," said Jungkook.
"Jungkook you're dating Taehyung?" Asked Aphrodite as she saw Jungkook holding hands with Taehyung.
"Yes mom, we're dating." Jungkook wanted to punch himself for what he just said.
"That's so cute," said Aphrodite. "When did you two start dating."
"This morn-"
"Not that long," Taehyung answered before Jungkook could even finish what he was going to say.
Aphrodite smiled before she went back to eating. Seokjin spoke up. "Maybe we can go on a double date sometime."
"Double date?" Asked Jungkook.
"Yeah, me and Namjoon, and you and Taehyung."
"No-"
"That would be wonderful," said Taehyung cutting off Jungkook, again.
"Would you excuse us for a moment," Jungkook said, not waiting for Seokjin to say anything as he pulled Taehyung away with him, their hands still intertwined.
"That is absolutely not wonderful," the younger said after having pulled Taehyung into another room and let go of his hand.
"Why isn't it? It's the perfect act and excuse for us to spend time together without revealing your secret," said Taehyung."
"Lower your voice!" Jungkook quietly warned. "And I don't want to go on a double date, especially with you."
"We're not really dating," Taehyung argued.
"I don't care. Seokjin is nosy and he might find out..." Jungkook trailed off not wanting to mention the cursed artifact and what it did to Taehyung's family.
Taehyung rolled his eyes. "I already said yes anyway. That would just make Seokjin suspicious as to why you don't want to go."
Jungkook sighed, realizing that what Taehyung was true. "Fine, but we're not really dating."
"I know and I wouldn't even want to date you either," said Taehyung as he and Jungkook made their way back to the dinner table.
"Is everything okay?" Asked Seokjin as the fake couple sat back down in their seats.
"Everything is great," Jungkook said through gritted teeth.
"So, when should we go on this double date?"
"As soon as possible," Answered Taehyung once again before Jungkook could answer.
Jungkook turned and subtly glared at his fake boyfriend who only smirked and shrugged. "If we're supposedly dating, we might as well start learning how to act like one," He whispered.
"How about this weekend after Jungkook gets off of work?" Suggested Seokjin.
"That's wonderful," both Taehyung and Jungkook said at the same time, not looking forward to their fake date with Seokjin and Namjoon.
During the rest of the dinner, Seokjin talked to Aphrodite and Eros all while Taehyung ate and conversed with the other gods who asked about his dad and his relationship with Jungkook.
Meanwhile, Jungkook kept glancing at Yoongi's empty seat across from him, wondering if the horny human was the reason that his best friend was taking so long to arrive at dinner.
At the end of the dinner, Yoongi finally arrived and explained to his father, Eros, that the human, Jimin, wouldn't let him go back home, but eventually did after Yoongi convinced him to.
"How did you convince him to let you go?" Asked Jungkook as he walked Yoongi to his room while Hoseok and Taehyung stayed behind to talk.
Yoongi sighed. "I kissed him."
"You what?!"
"It wasn't even a real kiss. It was just a peck," Explained Yoongi. "But he really wouldn't let me go. He kept trying to touch me intimately, so I just kissed him and he just zoned out for a second, so I quickly left before he could try to stop me again."
Jungkook shook his head. "Next thing you know, he's going to go for a real kiss the next time he has a chance to kiss you."
It was Yoongi's turn to shake his head. "That will never happen. He only sexually desires me because I happened to be the first person he saw after getting struck with a love arrow."
Jungkook shrugged. "Who knows, maybe that sexual desire might turn into love. That's the whole propose of the love arrows."
Yoongi sighed as they stopped in front of the older's room. "Well, goodnight, Jungkook," he said before going inside.
Jungkook turned, about to go to his room that was across Yoongi's when he heard Taehyung calling after him.
"What?" He asked confused.
Taehyung quickly approached him and grabbed the younger's hand before pulling him away.
"Where are we going?"
"Hoseok snuck into your mom's room since you don't want to tell her about the cursed object and what it did."
"Hoseok did what?!"
"Don't yell or we'll get caught," Taehyung whispered as they neared the hallway towards Aphrodite's room. The door was already open, but it was left ajar, so Taehyung quietly pushed the door open and found Hoseok inside, holding a book in his hands.
"What are you doing here?" Whispered Jungkook as Taehyung let go of his hand.
"I found a book about artifacts and look," Hoseok opened the book to page and pointed a familiar-looking artifact.
"Is that..."
"The cursed object? Yes, it is."
"What-"
The boys froze as they heard footsteps in the distance. A worried expression was painted across each of their faces and it only grew more and more worried as they heard the footsteps getting louder.
"Someone's coming!" Jungkook whispered as he panicked, looking around the room. "Hide!"
All three boys scrambled to find a place to hide without making much noise. Hoseok threw himself with the book under the bed, while Taehyung quickly ran towards the closet and opened it, ready to get in and close it, but stopped as saw that Jungkook wasn't moving.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" Taehyung whisper shouted as he ran towards Jungkook and pulled him towards the closet with him.
He managed to close the closet door just in time before someone stepped in walked in the room.
Jungkook let out a shaky breath as he tried to remain as quiet as he could. The closet wasn't small, it was rather huge, but he still felt cramped inside with Taehyung pressed his body against his and their breaths mingling together.
Outside, Aphrodite looked around her room, trying to spot any evidence that someone was in her room. She found the door of her room open and she clearly remembered that she had closed it.
Jungkook heard the familiar footsteps outside the closet, recognizing them as his mother's. "It's my mom," He whispered as quietly as he could, afraid to make any sound that would alert his mother of their hiding place.
"How are we supposed to leave now that she's in her room?" Whispered back Taehyung.
"I don't know." Jungkook's heart raced as he heard his mom's footsteps walking around the room and seeming to get closer to the closet. "We're going to get caught," He whispered, taking a few shaky breaths, seeming on the verge of a breakdown. "Hoseok, oh my god, he's going to get caught too, and he has the book. I can't tell my mom what happened, I'll get into more trouble and-"
Taehyung pulled Jungkook's head into his chest as he wrapped his arms around the younger in an attempt to get him to calm down.
Aphrodite's footsteps stopped outside the closet and Taehyung closed his eyes shut as he held Jungkook's head against his chest while hugging him tighter with his other hand. He felt Jungkook's shaky breath muffled against his chest and he hoped that Aphrodite didn't hear that.
"Mom, Eros said he needs your help with something." Taehyung suddenly heard Seokjin's voice outside the door and he hoped that Jungkook's brother would make Aphrodite leave.
He heard her footsteps retreating away from the door and getting softer and softer until he couldn't hear her anymore, but Taehyung still remained frozen with his arms around Jungkook.
Hoseok got out from under the bed and opened the closet door where he found Taehyung and Jungkook pressed against each other with their eyes closed.
"Um...Jungkook, your mom left."
Upon hearing Hoseok's voice both boys immediately pulled away from each other and scrambled out of the closet.
"Let's leave before she comes back," said Taehyung as he glanced at Jungkook who nodded.
Hoseok peeked out the door to make sure there was no one around before he walked out, Taehyung and Jungkook following behind.
Hoseok had the book held tightly against his chest as his eyes glanced around the hallways. "I'll keep the book safe with me. We'll look thrust tomorrow, goodnight Taehyung, goodnight, Jungkook," He said before dashing towards his room, not wanting to get caught by Aphrodite with her book in his hands.
Taehyung awkwardly stood with Jungkook who seemed like he wanted to say something but didn't. Instead, he muttered a goodnight to Taehyung before heading towards his room.
Taehyung headed back home where he wished his stone family a goodnight. He promised them that he'd bring them back to normal before going to bed.
