5; Hoseok's Help

Who's your favorite Greek god or goddess?

Mine is Aphrodite

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning as Jungkook woke up and was getting ready for his job, he passed by his brother, Seokjin, who was struggling to help his drunk boyfriend, Namjoon, walk.
He remembered what his brother had said to him the day before so he made sure to glare at him. Seokjin only rolled his eyes as he walked past.
Jungkook met up with Yoongi and talked about what they were planning to do for the day.
"I hope the human doesn't try to take off my pants today," Yoongi said while Jungkook laughed and wished him luck.
Today his mother hadn't accompanied him to the store like she had the day before, so Jungkook had been alone to worry about what he was going to do about the cursed artifact.
"Took you long enough," Taehyung said as Jungkook approached the store.
"If you haven't noticed, not a lot of humans are up at this early time in the day," Jungkook said.
"We're not humans and we're here to do research on that cursed artifact so that you can turn my family back to how they were."
Jungkook said nothing as he unlocked the door and let Taehyung inside.
"Now-"
The door suddenly opened after Jungkook had just closed it behind him. Someone had come in and knocked him knocked down after being hit with the door from behind.
"Hoseok?" He asked as he laid from the ground staring up at him.
"So, since I got nothing else to do. I'm here to help you guys too." He said, his arms holding on the straps of a backpack he had on.
"Wait how did you know?" Jungkook asked as he stood up and dusted himself. "The only person I told was Yoongi."
"Well, you two were yelling so I heard everything yesterday," Hoseok said. "And I figured you two wouldn't know where to start or do you?"
Taehyung shrugged. "I figured Jungkook would know where to start."
"I don't even know where to start," Jungkook said truthfully.
Hoseok smiled. "Well, aren't you two glad that I'm here." He said as he began to take off the backpack. He opened it and set it on the counter as he began to take out three thick books that looked like the size of a school textbook.
Jungkook's eyes widened. He didn't want to look through the books, but Taehyung had already gotten one and had begun to start flipping through it.
"I went to the library this morning and saw a lot of textbooks on artifacts, but since I'm not Hercules, I couldn't carry all of them on my own," Hoseok said.
"Let's go to the library after the store closes tonight if we can't find anything," Taehyung said.
Hoseok nodded. "By the way, Taehyung happy late birthday.
"It wasn't a very happy birthday," Taehyung said as he scanned the pages of the book. "Especially not for my sister either."
Jungkook felt guilty. He ruined not just Taehyung's birthday, but Jennie's as well. He opened his mouth to wish Taehyung a happy late birthday as well, but then quickly closed his mouth. He didn't think Taehyung would be very happy to hear that from him when he sold a cursed artifact to him and turned his sister and father to stone. He didn't think this was the right time either.
"Jungkook, sorry for getting you in trouble the other day," Hoseok said, snapping Jungkook out of his thoughts.
"It's fine," He said. "I was upset about getting caught and getting in trouble, but I wasn't mad at you."
"Why are you always shooting love arrows at humans?" Hoseok asked.
Jungkook sighed about to respond when the door of the store opened and Seokjin walked in. The males quickly made sure to hide the covers of the books they were looking through. They didn't want Seokjin to get suspicious.
"Jungkook," Seokjin said as he stopped in front of them. "Mother sent me to tell you that she forgot to mention about a cursed artifact yesterday. She said to not sell it."
"Too late for that now," Taehyung muttered under his breath.
"What does the artifact even look like?" Jungkook asked while glaring at his brother.
"I don't know, I figured you would know what it would look like," Seokjin said with a shrug before walking out of the store just as quick as he came.
Jungkook sighed. "Well, thanks a lot for letting me know, mother, and thanks Seokjin for not knowing how it looks like," He said sarcastically.
"Your brother is so attractive," Hoseok suddenly blurted out.
"What?" Jungkook asked surprised. "Don't you even dare say that to him because then he'll say some bullshit like, "yeah I know or I'm Worldwide Handsome."  He mocked.
"Do you...not get along with Seokjin?" Taehyung asked.
"No, he says a lot of things that make him look like a hypocrite, and to answer your question from earlier Hoseok, the reason why I'm always causing so much mischief and shooting love arrows at humans is because humans are so helpless against love. Then, Seokjin had the audacity to come in here yesterday and talk about how I shouldn't be dragging Yoongi with me whenever I cause trouble and how I received such a light punishment. He wanted to talk about love and all that, but he didn't like it when I brought up his helpless love with his drunk boyfriend who probably can't even say I love you to him. He said I couldn't talk about his love life when I don't have one and I just snapped and yelled at him in front of all the customers and told him that no one from my family even shows that they love me. The only one that does is Yoongi."
Jungkook took some deep breaths as he felt tears in his eyes after just ranting about his argument with Seokjin the day before.
"Imagine not getting along with your siblings, couldn't be me," Taehyung said.
Hoseok glared at him before trying to comfort Jungkook. "Doesn't Eros love you?"
"I doubt he does, he's way older than Seokjin and I. He's always causing mischief whenever mother asks him or he's with Yoongi," Jungkook said. A tear rolled down his eye as he thought about his oldest brother.
"Your mom is the goddess of love, I'm sure she loves you," Hoseok said.
Jungkook laughed bitterly. "It's funny how my mom, the goddess of love, shows no love to me, but she does with Eros and Seokjin. Besides if she's not busy making Eros cause mischief, then she's having an affair. Yoongi is the only one that loves me. He's the only one who's ever said it to me, too."
More tears began to stream down the younger's face, causing Hoseok to feel emotional as well. He reached out to give Jungkook a tight hug.
Taehyung awkwardly stood beside them, unsure of what to do, he just wanted to do some research. It would be almost time for the store to open and they wouldn't be able to have much time after that.
Hoseok pulled away from the hug and signaled at Taehyung to do something as well to make the younger feel better.
Hesitantly, Taehyung placed his hands on both sides of Jungkook's face and used his thumbs to wipe the younger's tears away. Despite Jungkook having his cheeks stained with tears and his eyes and nose red and stuffy from crying, Taehyung still found Jungkook looking beautiful. He never knew someone could cry so beautifully.
He's the son of the goddess of love, of course, he looks beautiful even when he's crying. That's just one of the perks of being the son of Aphrodite, Taehyung thought.
Taehyung didn't realize he was staring at Jungkook for too long, nor did Jungkook as he was too busy staring into Taehyung's dark eyes until Hoseok suddenly cleared his throat.
"The store opens in five minutes. We can each take turns handling the register while two of us do some research." He said.
Taehyung withdrew his hands away from Jungkook's face and let him finish wiping away his tears. "I'll handle the register first." Jungkook offered.
Hoseok agreed on handling the register after Jungkook and Taehyung after Hoseok. They watched with anxious eyes after each customer came in and bought an artifact, hoping that it wasn't cursed.
As Jungkook was finishing up his turn at the register, the door opened and in stumbled Yoongi with another person with him, who Jungkook recognized as the pink-haired human who he struck with the love arrow.
"Jimin," Yoongi said as he turned to Jungkook. "This is my friend, Jungkook." Jungkook waved unsure of what to say or do. "He's the reason why you're sexually attracted to me."
Jungkook scoffed. "I didn't know the love arrows would do that. I also didn't think you'd be the first person he saw after getting struck."
"Well, Jimin almost tried taking off my pants again, so I was wondering if there was any artifact here that wouldn't make him sexually attracted to me," Yoongi said.
Jungkook shook his head. "No, I already had enough with one cursed artifact." He said as he glanced at Taehyung. "Now, Jimin, do you love Yoongi? You were supposed to fall in love with him when you were struck with that love arrow."
The human hugged Yoongi. "I love Yoongi and everything about him." He said before trailing one of his hands down to Yoongi's lower region.
Yoongi yelped and pulled Jimin's hand away from there. Jimin giggled. "Jimin what did I tell you about keeping your hands to yourself." Yoongi scolded before turning to Jungkook. "I'll get going now. He's such a tease that I'm afraid he'll try touching me somewhere intimate again."
Jungkook chucked. "Good luck Yoongi." He watched as his best friend left with the pink-haired human and turned his attention to Hoseok and Taehyung.
Taehyung's eyes were wide. "I think you were punished a little too lenient, now that human Jimin guy is sexually attracted to Yoongi."
Jungkook wanted to throw his book at him, but Hoseok stopped him. "Let's not fight. Taehyung and I still haven't found any information that would help us, so now it's your turn to do some research. I'll take over the register." He said.
Jungkook took the seat beside Taehyung and opened his book while glaring at him. He was too tempted to hit him with his book, but since a new customer had arrived, he glared at his book instead while reading through the pages filled with words.
