Chapter 15- the morning after

(Y/N) POV:

I woke to the feeling of utter content spreading through my body, I blinked open my eyes and saw a t-shirt on the edge of my vision, tilting my head I realised I had somehow managed ending up asleep on Seokjin. Wait...Seokjin. I was fully awake now, and I could feel how closely I was pressing into him. I sat up, looking apologetically at Seokjin but he seemed unruffled by it all. He just smiled at me before getting out of bed, I watched him leave the room with my cheeks flushing.

As embarrassing as it was, I was glad that someone had been there when I had woken up from that nightmare, it was horrible waking up alone surrounded by darkness and the only sound being my violently thudding heart. And even if I didn't intend to vocalise it, it was the best night of sleep I had had in a month, nightmare aside. I felt lighter and more relaxed than I had this past month, body feeling rejuvenated rather than its usual heaviness I had grown accustomed to feeling.

I padded into the bathroom, washing my face and brushing my teeth before making my way downstairs. I needed to get my clothes here somehow, I couldn't go around taking theirs for the entire week. There was no need to add to the burden and no doubt, force they were feeling from my intruding. My head began to dully throb at the flood of thoughts pouring through my mind, each worse than the last, I hesitantly walked towards the kitchen where the voices were coming from, stress mounting, my fingers beginning to fidget. I needed to do something. Do I go in, do I not?

My silent question was answered when a chirpy, beaming voice rang out as his head popped out the kitchen doorway.

"(Y/N)-ah! You'll sit next to me at breakfast, right?" he said, not waiting for an answer before his hands were eagerly beckoning for me to walk over. I felt relieved noticing he hadn't grabbed me but rather left me to move myself, I couldn't get over the strongly enforced rule of never making physical contact with them this easily.

When I entered the kitchen behind Hoseok, I peeked over from behind his tall frame to scan the room. Seokjin was humming as he worked at the stove, flipping pancakes adding to the towering pile that had already formed on the plate.

Jungkook and Jimin were leaning on Namjoon, bodies tightly pressing onto each other in some way, easy smiles and laughing faces as they basked in each other's presence whilst teasing Namjoon who sat between them. Taehyung was staring off into space before his head snapped to the doorway, meeting my eyes as he flashed a grin, I slid further behind Hoseok unintentionally using him as a shield. But there was someone missing. Yoongi. Just as I realised a drawling voice called out from behind me, raspy with sleep.

"As much as I love standing behind you, can we all go in?" I twisted to see Yoongi staring at me, eyes scanning me before a pleased expression overtook his face.

I tilted my head, what was he pleased about?

On the sound of Yoongi's voice, the others turned to see us clustered in the doorway, attention now focused onto us. I felt a prickling feeling realising eyes were on me, on us but it didn't make me less uncomfortable.

"Yah! Stop staring, set the table." Seokjin yelled, gesturing wildly with his spatula at the boys. I shuffled in, unsure about what I was meant to do. If I just sat down, it'd be really rude but if I helped would it be considered involving myself into the domestic life they'd made. I dithered, feet pressed against the cold tiles, biting my lip before the decision was made for me.

A pair of slippers were placed in front of me.

"Put them on, your feet will get cold. You can help me in making drinks." Yoongi said, words directed at me, but his gaze was slightly diverted, he wasn't focusing his stare on me.

I slipped my feet in gratefully, the shoes drowned my feet, before I followed Yoongi to one end of the kitchen where he was pulling out mugs and glasses.

"Coffee or tea?" he asked, as he added an eighth mug to the tray.

I fidgeted, I preferred hot chocolate at times when I needed comfort, but would it be rude if I asked. The need for comfort won over my need to be polite and distant.

I took two steps closer, words spilling out before I could take them back.

"Umm...do you, do you have any hot chocolate?" I asked, unable to meet his eyes as I ducked my head. Unaware of the heads that snapped up at my soft request, a gummy smile stretching across Yoongi's face and something warm flashed on their faces.

"Aigoo...you're so adorable! No need to be shy." Namjoon said, warmth in his voice and I peeked up to see him smiling softly at me, dimples on full display.

"I'll make it!" several voices volunteered, chiming in unison. An argument broke out as they started squabbling amongst themselves, their familial bickering so warming to see, even if it was from the outside. In the time they were arguing, I helped Yoongi finish up the drinks, smiling slightly when I saw he had already made the hot chocolate.

I picked up the tray with practiced ease, walking to the table and setting down each in front of them, astutely guessing that the americanos were for Namjoon and Yoongi, I had seen them sporting that drink many times, the cappuccinos turned out to be for Hoseok, Jin and Jimin, the latte for Jungkook and tea for Taehyung, all of them calling out 'me' when I dithered.

All of the seats were in a close sitting, I slowly slid into the seat between Yoongi and Taehyung, the last available seat. I felt enclosed, I brought my hands to cup the mug of hot chocolate, fingers soaking in the warmth. I glanced down at the mug, grateful to have something to focus my attention to.

Everyone eagerly started piling food onto their plates, some pancakes, sliced fruit and whipped cream somehow making its way onto mine even though I hadn't dared reach out. My fingers unlatched from my mug, slowly taking a fork and knife to start cutting them, spearing pancake, fruit and a dollop of cream before bringing it to my mouth. I absently hummed in pleasure at the taste as I chewed, tongue darting out to lick any remnant of cream off my lips. If I pretended, I wasn't being suffocated and surrounded by my soulmates, the panic lessened slightly, and if I imagined hard enough, I could envision it as being something JB oppa would treat to me to on our breakfast dates. Finishing my food, I slowly sipped at the hot chocolate, warmth and sweetness bursting on my tongue. Yoongi knew how to make a good hot chocolate, he'd even added melted chocolate it seemed from the thick, heavenly taste. I stifled a groan at the flavour, I wanted to ask how he'd made it but was kind of apprehensive to.

YOONGI POV:

I watched with hope as (Y/N) tentatively placed herself in the chair next to mine, I didn't intend on scaring her off so if it were baby steps that were needed, baby steps I would take. I could see everyone's eyes darting to our final soulmate, wonder in their eyes as they truly couldn't believe our table was finally complete with all of us.

Her hands wrapped around the mug, looking down as we all started piling food onto our plates. My eyes were highly attentive to her and I noticed I didn't see her reach out for food, even though she must be hungry. Before the food vanished from all the dishes, placing pancakes, fruit and whipped cream on hers before focusing on my own plate.

I couldn't stop the smile as I saw her reach out to eat, a hum in her throat as she ate. My ears picked up on the soft vibration, the sound magnified because of my ability, it was a lovely sound. Her tongue darted out, licking her lips free from the smear of cream, leaving them glistening slightly. Everything she did was so cute, she reminded me of a kitten, I guess I was slowly starting to understand why Jaebum had referred to her as kitty.

Her small hands reached out for the mug, taking small kitten sips, shirt slipping off her shoulder. I couldn't help but feel pleased that she was wearing my clothes, when Jin hyung had asked for mine seeing as I had one of the smallest sizes, I eagerly chose them for her. I thought they'd fit but they hung loosely on her.

She looked like she belonged, she looked like one of our soulmates. Having breakfast dressed in one of our clothes, silent but still such a comforting presence.

And I knew everyone felt the same way, my ears picking up on hearts fluttering and skipping a beat whenever they glanced at her.

Something in me settled at the sight, we would get there in the end.

(Y/N) POV:

I helped pile the plates up, dishes stacking together, empty mugs back on the tray and just as I was going to carry it over to the sink, Namjoon intercepted taking them gently out of my hands. But before he could go anywhere Jimin ran over and took the tray off him, shooting him an amused exasperated look. There was silent communication in that look. Years of intimacy and love and understanding in it.

"Namjoon hyung, you're not allowed near Jin hyung's dishes." He tutted, laughing as he watched Namjoon squirm under his teasing, cheeks dusted with a soft pink.

I slowly backtracked out the room, I needed to get some off my stuff here, as I was backing out, I collided with a firm chest, a hand shooting to steady me, warm fingers wrapped around my arm. I felt a fuzzy, tingling sensation from where the fingers touched my skin, a slow rush of relief fanning out from my arm through to my body. I didn't realise how incomplete I had felt this entire time until I made physical contact with one of them. I slowly turned, looking up to meet a pair of doe-eyes.

"We should really stop meeting like this." He beamed, bunny grin stretching his lips wide.

I twisted out of his hold slightly, his arm falling off, small sad pout on his lips. I felt bad for bringing that look on his face, but it soon eased out.

"What do you wanna do?" he asked, bouncing on the balls of his feet.

"I have some stuff to do..." I began, watching as his face fell. It wasn't like I could go without one of them apparently.

"What stuff?" Taehyung said, joining our conversation.

"I need to get my clothes and a few things. And I was going to help a friend..." I tailed off, confused at the grins that stretched their lips.

"You can get that friend to bring your stuff, and we don't mind if you need to do something here." Taehyung chirped, somehow managing to read my mind that Eunwoo was going to come to the dorms to shoot photos for his project.

I nodded dejectedly, darting around them to grab my phone. I shot off a text to Seo-Yeon unnie asking her to pack a bag of clothes and toiletries for a week for me, telling her Eunwoo would pick it up from the dorms. She shot back a frantic reply, saying she was glad I was alive and that she'd call later. I smiled at the concern in her text, her words full of worry and love. I was lucky to have people like her in my life.

I sank onto one of the lone armchairs again, watching the others interact and pile in, discussing what they were going to do today. I was starting to relax and sink back into the couch, zoning out slightly from the conversation when the doorbell rang, shrill and sudden sending everyone into silence. Eyes darted to each other, confusion on their faces before Taehyung got up to open the door, voice becoming animated before he walked back in with Eunwoo in tow.

Eunwoo had my bag slung over one shoulder and was rolling along a suitcase which I presumed had his photography equipment. He looked slightly breathless, but he smiled as he entered the living room, flopping down next to Jungkook.

"Eunwoo-ah, nice of you to pop by. Its been a while." Seokjin said, voice ringing with warmth as he smiled at the ruffled boy.

"Eunwoo-ah, did we have something planned that I'm forgetting?" Jungkook asked, confusion in his features as he looked at his age fellow.

He shook his head, hair falling messily over his forehead.

"I'm here to do my photography assignment." He said.

Seokjin perked up.

"I suppose you want me to model." He stated, smiling as he pretended to be bashful. The others groaned, but Eunwoo's eyes just widened with confusion falling to look at me.

"I'm here for the best model in this house. Didn't you tell them (Y/N)-ah?" he directed all the attention onto me. I focused on Eunwoo's face, mentally conveying to him I was going to kill him, he winced slightly apologetic.

I cleared my throat.

"I called him here." I said, voice ringing out in the silent living room.

EUNWOO POV:

I closed the door behind (Y/N)'s temporary room, dropping the bag that had been so unexpectedly heavy, onto her bed.

"What on earth does Seo-Yeon noona pack? She packed for like a month, not a week. I swear I've now broken my back. You're going to have to take care of me for the rest of our days." I claimed, flinging myself down next to her, tugging her as I fell backwards so she too was lying on the bed.

"I need to shower. And change." She protested.

"Get dressed straight away into the first outfit then." I suggested, dragging my feet to the suitcase, pulling out the outfits I had meticulously chosen to fit the concept. I threw an oversized green sweater at her.

"That's it?" she asked, pulling out stuff from her own bag, back turned to me.

"Actually, wait." I changed my mind, a plan plotting in my head.

I changed the outfit, grabbing the sweater back and ushering her to the shower.

The moment the door slid shut, by magic or something I called eavesdropping, Jungkook, Jimin hyung and Tae hyung came barging in.

"(Y/N) models?!!" Tae hyung shouted, shock on his face. I nodded, pulling out my equipment.

"Is this why she was meeting you in the photography rooms?" Jungkook accused, looking put out by the thought.

The other two swung their heads to look at him, unaware of that it seemed.

They sat there bickering and complaining saying it wasn't fair. They were so loud I almost didn't hear the telepathic call of (Y/N)'s voice judging herself mentally but still entering the room, nonetheless. I closed the door on them, shutting them out regardless of the loud sounds of protest.

She was dressed in a sweater and pants, but I ushered her in, pointing out directions for her to draw her knees in slightly, to prop her head up on her arm.

Outfit:

"Next outfit." I called gesturing to the other outfit on the bed, I closed the door behind me as I left.

"Ready..." she called.

The process repeated until we were down to the final outfit, the green sweater.

"Are you sure, sure Eunwoo?" she called.

"Yup, don't add anything to it." I said firmly.

A while later, a shy 'ready' called out before I swung the door open, grinning at the sight and the gasps from behind me.

(Y/N) was wearing nothing but a sweater, loosely hanging off her shoulders. I guided her to the bed placing a couple around her as she sat on her knees, hands hanging between them.

(Y/N) outfit:

"Perfect." I said before taking the last photographs.

This wasn't uncommon attire on (Y/N), she always lounged around in far less and more revealing clothes at her dorm, their jaws would drop then if the guys ever saw.

She headed down with me, feet padding on the carpet lightly, soft treads just like a kitty. We walked through the living room, I watched as the guys' jaws dropped, faces flushed before they glared at me, darting their eyes away quickly from her.

I tuned myself into the guys' thoughts, I smiled as I heard the jealousy they were struggling to control, the need to cover her up and more than that a building need to pull her away from me and throw a blanket over her, a need to protect. Perfect.

"We'll do the outside ones later. I better go, Binnie is calling. And by the way, you look gorgeous!" I said, winking at her watching her become flustered as she realised the intention behind the outfit, pecking her cheek before leaving.

I walked out, bags packed and a smug grin at my face, waving cheerily at Jimin hyung who clutched the door fuming before he slammed it shut.

(Y/N), they aren't that bad, I thought, hoping that this week would allow her to open up.

(TA DA! THE WHOLE PHOTOSHOOT WAS KINDA PLANNED AND I FIGURED WHAT WAY TO BRING HIM IN THEN NOW, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF HER TRYING TO BOND WITH HER SOULMATES! BUT.... WILL THE PHOTOSHOOT HAVE DONE MORE HARM THAN GOOD, AFTER ALL SHE'S SPENT SEVERAL HOURS WITHOUT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM BEFORE THE BOND HAS FINALISED. OH EUNWOO...WHAT DID YOU DO?
