|Gods?|

|3rd POV|

Team 7 was in a very. . . Interesting situation. They had gotten their very first real mission, a D rank mission, but it turned to something else.

But the mission was over and the land of the waves were safe, but Sakura wasn't. The words she heard from that man . . . Zabuza.

"I know who you are, prophecy."

"What does that mean. . ." Sakura mumbled to herself. She was sitting outside on their teams training ground, underneath a tree, reading a book about a fairy tale. Sakura sighed and continued reading the book.

It was a book about magic and powerful warriors. Something that she wanted to be. "A magical warrior." She chuckled to herself. "If only they actually existed. . . Maybe I wouldn't be so weak." She mumbled to herself.

Sakura's attention was suddenly drawn towards a rustling bush. "Sakura!" The man in the white suit jumped out of a bush, scaring Sakura. "Ah!" Sakura fell back, scratching herself on a tree branch.

"Owie. . ." Sakura rubbed her cut on her arm. The man chuckled and pulled out a handkerchief, wrapping it around her small cut on her arm. "Be careful. . . " He mumbled. She glared at him, "Why are you showing up now?" She growled.

"Its time~!" He laughed while grabbing Sakura's arm. "Let me go!" Sakura fought back, "don't touch me!" She yelled. Before she could escape, both of them had already disappeared.

|Sakura's POV|

I woke up to something soft. . . Warm. . . Squishy. But for some reason, I couldn't open me eyes. It felt like they were glued shut. I squirmed a little, trying to move, but there was no avail. "She's awake." I heard a female voice yell from beside me. I heard a few footsteps until I could feel someone hovering over me.

"Open your eyes." As soon as that man said that, my eyes shot wide open. It was like a strange feeling took over my body, making do what he commanded. "Haruno Sakura, do you know  why your here?" I scanned the room to see where he was, but there was no one in sight.

I slowly sat up and shook my head. "No. . . I want to go back home." My voice cracked lightly. "Alright then, I'll make this short and simple. You are the chosen prophecy to protect the world from the Gods."

"Gods?"

"Yes, Gods. The most deceitful creatures, ruling the world. They are anything but good. They only want power and blood-shed." The man rambling on walked out of the shadows, with a smug look on his face. "We finally found you." He bowed down on one knee. I blushed slightly, still confused on the situation.

"What the hell is going on and who are you?" I deadpanned. He cleared his throat and sat up. "Right, I am the God of the underworld. I know I am a God, but the others don't accept me as one of them. . ." He stayed silent. "I can take them down. . .If only they weren't smart enough to lock me down here in this retched place."

I was still so confused, but I went along. "You still didn't say your name." I squinted my eyes at him. "I am Shi. But that is not the point, the point is that we give you all the necessary guidance."

"We?" I looked around, suddenly feeling paranoid that others were lurking in the shadows. "You're protector, Senso." The man in the white suit stepped out. "We had a rally, where we would find the perfect one for you. . . We called it a blood test. The blood test determined what everyone here would mean to you, but only one would protect and guide you, and that was Senso."

Senso smiled at me and I made a small, weak smile back. "Now I'm sure my right hand woman took care of the easy part. . . Now its time to finish off the process." Suddenly, Shi's hand started glowing a dark red, and people came out from the shadows. They all were wearing red cloaks, mumbling words I didn't understand.

The writings and drawings on my skin from before started lighting up and bright white, but it felt like it was burning my skin alive. I started clawing at the marks all over my body, but it only made the pain worse. "STOP!" I yelled, the pain increasing.

I felt like they kept beating me over and over again, knives cutting over my skin, and it felt like a hand was wrapped around neck, stopping my breathing. Blood spewed out of my mouth as the pain got worse. I heard a roar coming from somewhere, but I was in so much pain, I couldn't tell.

I got a glimpse of myself in a mirror. I was crying not tears, but blood. Blood dripped on the ground from my nose and mouth. Crimson colors staining my white clothing. "S-stop i-it p-p-lEASE!" I yelled loudly.

The pain was unbearable, but was worse was that the markings of animals actually started moving, giving a weird feeling, but I felt the dragon and snake marking moving together, up to my face. I could feel the dragon climb up my neck and enter my gaped mouth. I started choking, still unable to breathe, but it was making it worse.

Then the snake followed right after. Then. . . It all stopped.

All the markings appeared back in their right spot. I laid on the ground, panting and in pain. I closed my eyes, wishing the pain to go away. Soon, arms lifted me up gently, I slowly opened my eyes and looked up at my savior. "Come on Sakura-hime. . .

"Let's go home."
