It had been hours since Rikki disappeared. Richard just waited for him because he had to give him a ride home. He waited in the tall building with the neutral grey carpet and tall clear windows. Rikki rode with him there so it was only fair to wait for him, but he seemed to have gone missing. He already tried to call him several times and left several texts.

"I don't know if he's going to come back any time soon" Andy was walking up to Richard who was by the doorway that lead out of the convention. Andy had pulled out his keys from his pocket so Richard could only assume he was about to go home himself, reminding Richard how badly he wanted to be driving home already.

Richard said goodbye to Andy as he went through the glass doors. Andy walked out into the giant parking lot that only had a couple cars remaining in it. Richard turned back and looked at the giant building that now seemed bare and empty. With only a couple small paintings on the wall and occasional spots of mismatched carpet where you could tell the carpet had been stained or ruined so it had to be replaced.

It had been about thirty minutes since Andy left. Richard was starting to get upset himself and decided he was going to go home. Rikki might've already headed home and been asleep and simply forgot to tell him. He walked through the parking lot and got in his car. He sat back a bit and took a deep breath. It was nice to be done with the day but he couldn't deny his worry for Rikki.

As Richard was driving home when he saw a weird shadow of a girl with pigtails next to a man with a smaller head in his rearview mirror. It didn't seem like that weird of a sight to see at first but the more he thought of it the weirder it seemed. The man was moving his arms around and he seemed busy but the girl was just standing there silently. staring directly at him.

The more he thought of it the more he was confused but he just shook his head and thought to himself.

"I'm probably just making a big deal out of nothing" He sighed a bit, a couple seconds passed of the silence suddenly, he heard a loud thud on the roof of the car.

"aagggghh" He screamed a bit and because of the surprise he accidentally floored the pedal and swerved a bit. He tried to gain control car again but the noises that now sounded suspiciously like footsteps grew louder and scratches began occurring as well. To his right he found an empty parking lot and impulsively drifted in almost a full circle into it. As he finished the turn he heard the creature fly off the car.

The parking lot he now found himself in was one of a small gas station that didn't look well-maintained. There was a closed sign in one of the windows flickering on and off. The windows were dirty and a couple houses were on one side of the gas station with fences separating the properties. Across from the gas station was a forest like area with a large group of trees and a barb-wired fence that looked trashed separating the parking lot from the trees.

At first he was relieved to be stopped and that the thing was off his car but, quickly he began to question what it was. He instinctively got out of his car for a second to see what might be lying on the ground outside, If it was a person or friendly animal it needed help. A chill ran down his spine as he realized nothing was outside the car at all except for the empty parking lot. Where could've it gone!?

He sat outside for a second induced with fear.

"EEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeheheheh" a noise echoed through the dark night causing Richard to run to his car. He panicked trying to figure out what could've made that noise. He attempted several times to put the key in and turn it but his hands were so shaky he couldn't do it.

"It couldn't have been a type of bird. A wolf? no, a coyote?" He tried to figure out what was going on. Instead quickly left the parking lot. He was panicked so he rushed home. He locked all the doors and windows in his house and tried to get to sleep.
