Chapter 12
Harry's POV
Warm and comfortable. That's what I felt through the entire night. It was quite enjoyable actually. For some reason, Draco makes me feel safe. I haven't felt like that since before Voldemort returned and I spent the ending parts of my summer with the Weasley's at the Burrow or during winter holidays.
But like all good things, they must come to an end when I hear giggling encasing my room.
My eyes opened slowly in hopes of them not burning in the piercing morning light.
I moved to grab my glasses from off the table, but found it rather difficult with a weight on top of me. Behind me laid Draco, his arm around my waist and our legs entangled under the blanket.
When I managed to grab my glasses and slip them on, I noticed two boys at the door, whispering and giggling to one another.
The predicament that the kids found us in had me flush and panic slightly from embarrassment.
"Draco!" I screeched.
A groan was heard behind me before a head poked up and accessed exactly what was going on.
He gasped and pulled away instantly. The warmth leaving my body as he tumbled out of bed.
The boys burst out laughing. "Ever heard of privacy?" I asked the two of them.
"We knocked. You didn't answer." Teddy said, his hair hot pink from laughter. "Now we see why." He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.
I grabbed a pillow from off the bed and chucked it at him.
He squeaked and ran out of the room. Scorpius laughing his face off as he followed.
"Well that was...."
"Embarrassing." I finished Draco's sentence when he trailed off.
His face flushed red. "I am so sorry, I had no idea that happened."
I smiled lightly. "It's alright. That was the best sleep I've had in awhile so I'm not complaining." He smiled back at me. I got off the bed and stretched. "However, I think we'll be hearing about it for the next month by those two."
Draco laughed. "We sure will be." He got up and casted a tempus spell and we realized it was eight in the morning. "I have to be at work in an hour." He stated.
"How about you go take a shower and get ready while I get breakfast going." I suggested.
"That sounds great. Thank you."
"No problem. Showers through that door-" I pointed across the room. "There should already be some clean towels in there you can use."
"Alright." He walked over to the door. "Oh. I forgot to mention." He shifted to look at me. "If you want to join me, you can." He winked and shut the door.
I gaped at him in utter shock.
Did he? No way. Did Draco Malfoy just flirt with me?
My face grew hot as what he said sunk in.
Though, I have to say his offer is tempting.
Oh! Why am I even thinking about this?! I can't think like this! I can't actually like him! It'd be too weird!
I sighed. Maybe it could.
I left the room and went into the kitchen.
The boys were sitting at the table with a set of cards between them.
They noticed me and smirked. "Slept well?" Scorpius asked.
"I sometimes wonder if you're truly ten year olds." I replied shaking my head.
"Of course we are! That would be ridiculous." Teddy claimed.
"Yes, as ridiculous as how teenager like you act." I replied. They smirked at me and I sighed.
They're not ten year olds, I swear.
I took what I needed out of the fridge and began breakfast. Some time after Draco came into the kitchen.
"Good morning boys, slept well?" He asked.
"Yeah we-" a loud scream stopped Scorpius' sentence.
"Oh Rose, she must've just woken up. Draco, do you mind keeping an eye on the bacon while I go get her?" I asked.
"No problem, you go."
I smiled lightly at him before going to find a wailing Rose.
"W-Where's mommy?!" She stuttered as I picked her up from bed.
"She's still at the hospital sweetheart. We're going to go see her in a little bit." I explained.
She wiped her teary eyes and nodded her head.
The two of us walked back to the kitchen. I transfigured one of the chairs into a high chair and set her into it.
She instantly took a liking to the cards the boys were playing with and proceeded to pull them out of Teddy's hands.
"Hey!"
I chuckled and walked back to Draco who stood in front of the oven and flipped a piece of bacon.
"Coffee or tea?" I asked.
"Coffee please." I nodded my head and made a pot of coffee and a pot of tea. I much prefer tea for myself.
"I don't know how you like it." I said once it was finished.
"I've got it. The Bacon's done. Anything else that needs to be finished?" He took out the milk and sugar. He put maybe three or four tablespoons or milk and about three lumps of sugar, then stirred it.
"No. Everything else is finished."
I pulled the rest of breakfast out that I stashed away to keep fresh. I made the kid's plates first, leading them with eggs, bacon, and french toast. Then I made Draco's as he finished his coffee. He turned to start on his own plate when I held out the already full one in front of him.
He smiled brightly. "Thank you." He said taking the plate from me. I smiled back before turning and preparing my own plate.
"It taste alright?" I asked everyone.
Draco took his first bite and moaned. "Alright? This is amazing. How'd you learn to cook like this?" He asked as I sat next to him.
I shrugged. "I spent most of my childhood making food for the Dursley's. I guess it just comes naturally to me."
He frowned at the mentions of the Dursley's. "Were they rumors? The things people used to say about your muggle family?"
"No. For the most part they were true. I don't have any connections with them anymore. I've talked to my cousin Dudley a few times here and there, but I haven't talked to my aunt and uncle since the war." I stated. It doesn't bother me to talk about them. They'll never be apart of my life again and because of how nosey people can be, my past life will never be a secret.
"I'm sorry. I always thought people were joking when they said that you came from a non supportive family." He replied.
"No, it's alright. Once I started at Hogwarts, I spent more and more time away from them, so it's ok."
He only frowned more, but didn't say anything else.
I turned to the boys. "You two are awfully quiet." I narrowed my eyes.
A smile broke across the boys face. "We're just watching the exchange between you two. When are you going to admit you like each other?" Scorpius asked.
I choked on my tea and my face grew hot.
"Scorpius!" Draco shouted. I looked at him and noticed the same blush across his cheeks.
The boys just laughed harder.
Draco sighed. "Thank you Harry, for breakfast. Scorpius, I'm gonna have to take you with me today, with everything that happened I wasn't able to find someone to watch you."
"What about Uncle Blaise?" He asked.
Blaise Zabini? They're still friends?
"He's still in Egypt. Won't be back till next week." He said before standing up and taking his plate to the sink. The boys followed in pursuit.
"That reminds me. Teddy, do you want to go to your grandma's or with me to the hospital. I have a feeling I'm gonna be there all day." I said standing and grabbing Rose's now empty plate.
"I'll go with you. That way Scorp won't be alone and the two of us can hang out for the day." Scorpius smiled at Teddy in gratitude.
"Ok. That's no problem."
"Scorpius go get ready, we've got to leave in a few minutes." Draco said.
"I'll bring him with me. You go to work and don't be late, we'll be there once we've finished cleaning and getting ready." I said to Draco.
"That'd be great." He went up to hug me, which I instantly responded to, wrapping my hands around his waist. "Thank you. For everything." He whispered.
"My pleasure. Now get out of here before your late." He pulled away and I looked up at his eyes, a smile grazing his lips.
"Ok, mom."
I laughed. He turned and hugged both boys, telling them he'll see them in a bit and left.
"Alright. You two go get ready and I'll do the dishes." They nodded and left the room.

Cheesy chapter, but oh well.
