Marinette P.O.V.

"Sorry m'lady I didn't mean to startel you." Chat said and he sat down next to me. "I thought it was im-paw-sible to scare you."

Although his puns are stupid I like them. I gave him a small smile and turned to him. He stood up and he held his hand out to me. I grabbed it and we stood on the edge of the building.

"Chat." I said and I sat down to let my feet dangle off the building.

"Yes bugaboo?" He said and he sat down with me.

"Why did you say you're afraid of losing me? I know you care about me but why? I've told you a million times I don't feel the same but you still protect me. Why?"

Adrien P.O.V.

A lump formed in my throat because of her question. It brought back memories of my mom that one day just disappeared.

"I'm sorry if I-"

"No it's ok. I'll tell you." I interrupted her.

"You know you don't have to."

"A while ago, not to long ago but not to recent, my mom just disappeared without a trace. I don't even know why."

I stood up and I turned away from her so she wouldn't see the tears forming in my eyes.

"Chat..."

She grabbed my shoulder and turned me back to her. She could tell how I felt so she gave me a hug. I hugged her back tightly and cried into her shoulder.

"It's just that..." I started crying harder and harder. "I miss her so much."

"It's ok Chat." She said and she didn't let me go. "I'm here for you."

I controlled my tears and I let her go. "I'm sorry. I didn't want you to see me this way."

I angled my baton then I extended it so I was far away from her. I heard her calling after me but I never turned back.

I got to my room and I let my transformation wear off.

"What. Aren't you going to complain about your camembert?" I told Plagg and I layed down on my bed. "Aren't you going to tell me how much of a wimp I am for crying infront of Ladybug?"

"Kid, I never knew your mom disappeared." Plagg said and he patted my back with his little paw.

"Is that an 'I'm sorry for being an annoying little-"

"Yes."

"Bonne nuit Plagg." I said and I layed down on my bed.

"Bonne nuit Adrien." He said and he slept on my pillow.

Marinette P.O.V.

"Do you think he'll be ok?" I told Tikki and images of last night appeared on my mind. Him holding me tightly then crying on my shoulder.

"I don't know. Luckly you'll see him again today." She chirped and flew inside my purse.

"But first, I need to get to school. Chat Noir can wait till later." I grabbed my back pack then I walked to school.

"Marinette!" Alya said as I stepped out my front door. "You're lucky to live this close to school."

"But I somehow still get to school late." I said and we walked together.

"Salut Marinette!" Adrien said as I sat in my seat.

"Salut Adrien!" I said and my cheeks lit up red.

"Girl you look as red as a Ladybug's suit." Alya told me and we both giggled.

"Settle down class. I'm going to put you in groups of two for a project. Nino and Alya, Sabrina and Cholé, Alix and Kim, Rose and Juleka, Nathaniel and Max, Mylene and Ivan, and finally Adrien and Marinette." The teacher said and Adrien turned around to look at me.

"Looks like we're partners Marinette." He said and him and Alya switched seats.

"You are allowed to do your project on anything you want to do it on. Just make it worth my time. You'll present in two weeks." She said and the bell rang. "Class dismissed."

"So uh when d-do you wanna work on it?" I said and I put my head down shyly.

"Tommorow at your house sound good?" He said and patted my shoulder.

"Y-yeah." I said then he walked away.

"I don't know how many times I've said this but girl, you've got to get better control of yourself." Alya said. There was a huge smile on my face and Alya looked confused. "Girl, you ok?"

"I get to work on a project with Adrien!" I yelled and my eyes were practically in the shape of hearts.

Alya giggled and we walked out of the school. She went home and I ran up to my room.

"You're home." Someone said then they wrapped their arms around me. His cold purple eyes started at me and he held me tighter so that he was squeezing me and I couldn't escape. "Purr-incess."
