"Why do I have to do this!" I said to mom as we barrelled down the highway.
     "Because your cousin Natalie hasn't seen you in nine years. Also because your father and I want to go a special vacation together for the summer." Mom retorted back at me. Almost with a tone that sounded almost like she was scolding me.
     "Ugh!" I mumble under my breath as I look out the window of my mom's blue Mercedes Benz at the flat dirt landscape of Michigan.
     We are going to my cousin Natalie's house in northern West Virginia in the middle of no where. I don't know much about where she lives or much about her at all. I haven't seen her since I was nine and that had been when she had come to our house in Nevada. Mom told me that I would become the best of friends with my cousin's children, Nathan and James. They were twins and were four years younger than me.
     We're five miles out!" My mom nearly screamed. She was the one who wanted to go and stay at my cousin's, not me. I would rather be back at school rather than waste a summer vacation at someone's house that I don't even know.
     I pushed my head back into the seat and wished for this to be the quickest summer I had ever had! But I knew that it would probably be the longest summer ever.
