That sleep didn't last long though as my phone went off more than 50 times with calls from my mom. I didn't answer any of them, and I even turned off my ringer. Then the light bothered me from it flashing on and off, so I turned it over. Then I learned that I forgot to turn off vibrate, and the list went on and on, and I got hardly any sleep whatsoever.
So when I woke up in the morning, I was one very pissed off individual. I got up at the crack of dawn and threw my covers off of me and made my way to the bathroom. Doing my business and looking in the mirror after brushing my hair and teeth. My eyes had turned silver again, yet they were bloodshot from no sleep and all the stress. I washed my face off, getting my makeup out that we had bought yesterday. After putting on foundation and concealer, I decided that was enough.
I walked back into my room determined to see the "Big Bad Wolf" today. I grabbed the first things I saw in my closet, which was a pair of black skinny jeans with holes, a white t-shirt, and a pair of red Converse. I grabbed a red jacket to at least match the shoes a bit, and then I grabbed my phone and looked for Tyler's name. I decided to call instead of text.
"Tyler?" I said as he answered with a simple "hmm".
"Can you come get me? I need to see Jackson."
"Ha, I see you somewhat figured out what I told you last night." I noticed that it wasn't the usual Tyler. This Tyler sounded sadistic and crude. I shivered at the thought. Did I make the wrong choice?
"Yes, and I need to speak to him." Tyler hummed again before the line went off. I scoffed and slammed my phone off.
If this boy ended up being a two faced bitch, I was going to slaughter every person in this damn pack with my bare hands.
After a while Tyler came strolling in, same smile as usual.
"What the hell is wrong with you? Are you some kind of joke? Trying to get people seeing the pack differently and then becoming a sadistic, cruel, son of a bitch?" Tyler's eyes just got wide and his eyebrows shot up.
"What?" He ask and by now I was already to pissed to care.
"Don't you play dumb with me" I growled low as I could go, which was practically the exact voice of my dad. I could see Tyler shake in fear from me, it was what I did to people. I could take this kid on. He was a lot younger than me. I could slice him in half before he knew it.
"I hate people like you, like your brother. You're all little liars to make people fall right into your grasp. If you think I can't kill you right here. Right now. Think again. The words that come out of your mouth next are your life sentence or your death sentence." Tyler still shook and stepped back before I growled so loud the whole town could probably hear it, so he stopped.
"Melynie, I'm not like him. I told you that because I didn't want your mom to come here. I don't want you to get hurt, please I'm telling the truth." I settled ever so slightly at the fear in Tyler's eyes. I could practically hear his wolf whimpering in fear, seeing as Skylar is the older, wiser, one of them.
"You do realize it was too late by the time I realized what you meant? I had already called her and if she finds out what Pack I'm in she'll come to the gates, not knocking, but breaking them down and seething for your brothers blood. Do you understand why we were called the Bloodlust Pack? Because we were dangerous when we wanted to kill. If we wanted you dead, you were dead. There was no escaping us. We may not be a "Pack" anymore, but we can still kill faster than a sports car with a nitrous oxide engine." Tyler only nodded, probably about to crap his pants from the look on his face.
"I'll take you to Jackson. Keep talking like that and you'll make him shit his pants..." I smiled, and I knew the real Tyler was back so I followed him out the door.
He took me to a staircase. It wasn't very large, but it did it's job. He started up and I followed. I looked around the top floor. It had large windows that almost stretched from floor to ceiling. They had colored glass making intricate designs and many pictured wolves and their families. We went to the end of the hall in front of a large door that was white with a golden door facing.
He stepped up to the door and looked back at me. I grabbed Tyler's hand and jerked it towards me after he seemed to be backing off like he wasn't going in with me. Hell, I wasn't coming anywhere close to that bastard without his brother by my side. Tyler just stood there and waited, motioning for me to knock.
I put my hand up to knock, but right before I touched the door, Jackson's voice came flittering through.
"Come in." I looked at Tyler and he just shrugged.
"He has good hearing. He could probably hear us breathing." I just looked at him with a disgusted face but opened the door anyway. The office was beautiful. In the center sat a large desk made of oakwood, a huge stained glass window stood behind it. A couch was on the right side of the room with two other chairs. On the left side a floor to ceiling bookshelf, full of books, took up the entire wall.
