The woman hopped in the backseat of the truck, and it was silent as Tyler backed the truck out of the driveway and went towards our desiring toon.
"Hello, sister. It's nice to see you again." Tyler said as he looked back in the rear-view mirror. He seemed strained for some reason. The more I thought about it, the more curious I became. Why didn't she live on pack territory? She lived in a human town that was close to the pack but not on their territory.
"Hello Ty. Who's your friend?" She said quietly almost like she was scared I'd bite her head off.
"We'll do introductions when we get to Rue 21, okay? I know that's your favorite store." He said and laughed quietly as his sister followed the laughter.
I looked down at my phone that was sitting in my lap and saw a notification from Instagram. That was one thing I was always glad I had, social media. Considering I was a werewolf, it was uncommon to find our kind on of social media, but our pack was lucky enough to have that privilege. It was a message from my friend from my "old" pack. Her name was Eline, and she was one of the sweetest people I knew. I opened my phone and looked at what she had sent.
Did you get out? I saw that your dad didn't... please, please tell me that you're okay?
Poor thing. I felt so sorry for her. Who knows where she is, and I can't tell her where I am or if I'm even alive. I know that if Jackson found out I'd be dead meat. So I left it there. I know it wouldn't show I read it since I had turned that off.
"Who was it?" Tyler ask while bringing me out of my trance.
"A friend of mine wanting to know if I'm alive." He looked over at me quickly and then back at the road.
"Why didn't you respond?" He had a curios look as he waited for my answer while pulling into a parking lot. The sign on the store said "Rue 21".
"Because she can't know where I am. She can't know I'm alive." He sighed as did Morning.
"So, he's still as strict as he was when I left." Morning mumbled from the backseat as Tyler parked in a parking spot and turned off the truck.
"Yeah, you know him. He'll always be strict sadly." Tyler sighed again and started to get out of the truck. I opened my door as did Morning. Tyler came over to where I was standing and helped Morning out even though she was almost as tall as me.
"Wow, your tall." She widened her eyes at me and I smiled while nodding.
"My name is Morning. I'm sure Tyler told you about my name, but it's nice to meet you!" I could tell that she was almost just like Tyler in her innocence.
"Melynie." I said and she shook my hand while Tyler looked at me.
"Can I tell her?" I knew Tyler was talking about me being Jackson's mate, so I frowned a little before nodding.
"She came into our land after her pack was attacked. Her father, Alpha Bloodlust, is dead. She's Alpha blood and also Jackson's mate." Morning gasped and covered her mouth with her hand. I'm sure we looked quite stupid just standing here by the truck talking.
She lunged at me and hugged me tight. She finally let go as she shook her head disapprovingly.
"I'm sorry honey. I wish it wasn't you, but maybe you can change him." She smiled sadly at me before grabbing my hand and began walking into the store. I followed because I didn't have any other choice.
"Well, I don't want us to be sad, so let's enjoy ourselves!" She tugged on my hand slightly to begin sprinting across the crosswalk and Tyler trudged behind us.
"We're going to stay in here for hours, and get whatever we want! That'll cheer us both up!" She smiled brightly.
I smiled as much as I could before stepping inside the door. I noticed quite a few people staring at us as we walked in. I was so used to seeing beautiful people around, but humans weren't. When you notice all of the stares it makes you realize you're with some of the most beautiful people in the world. Tyler was good looking and Morning was beautiful as well. I never pay attention to that until I get around horny humans that only care if your beautiful and hope that maybe you'll be the next one they bang.
I tried to keep my thoughts away from that as we searched the store and grabbed what we liked. I hadn't gotten as much as Morning, but we had both gotten quite a lot of clothes. My pile consisted of jeans, shirts, shoes, shorts, and tights. Morning got two or three of everything. She'd get one kind of shirt just in three different colors.
Once we were done we set all of our stuff at the cash register, and the cashier just looked wide eyed at all of the clothes. Once she rang everything up, Tyler stood in front of us and she began freaking out after seeing a good looking guy. Her face lit up in a blush and she began stuttering, but finally got the cost out.
"It c-comes t-to 986 dollars and 98 cents." She shook in sexual tension as Tyler handed her cash, all hundreds, and she counted them before giving him the change. She bagged everything and we left the store.
"Well, that's one good thing about Jackson." I looked at Morning in a confusing manner. She looked at me a shrugged.
"He's rich as fuck." Morning said as she put all of her stuff in the backseat beside her. I laughed slightly. I had found out that Morning was really nice, and I've made friends with her too. I sat my stuff beside hers in the backseat and went around to get into my seat.
"Morning? Do you mind me asking a question?" She sighed from the backseat.
"I know what it's going to be Mel. Why I don't live on pack territory?" I looked back at her from the front seat and nodded with a grimace. Tyler started the truck and set off to take Morning back home.
"Well, I was an outcast. I wasn't like them. I was different like Tyler is. I don't have Autism like he does, but I think his kindness wore off on me. By the time I shifted for the first time, I would never stand up for myself. Jackson always said that I got myself in trouble, but I didn't have the guts to fight back. I was too nice to be in the pack. I was a disgrace to Vengeance, so Jackson gave me an option. Either I left the pack as a Rouge, or I live in a human city but still a part of the pack. So that way I can still see my family and stuff, so obviously, I took the better, second option. So I just live away from the pack to keep myself "out of trouble", but sometimes I enjoy not having Jackson up my ass all day. It's a win-win." I laughed out loud at the last part and Tyler snorted.
"What? It's true! He's a damn pain in my ass. I breathe wrong and he pisses himself in anger." I just laughed more and put my face In my hands.
We made it to Mornings house and started to pull in the driveway, but we could see a car sitting there already. We pulled in beside the sports car and I saw someone sitting on the front porch. He had a tall figure and his arms were crossed. His emerald green eyes were raging and platinum blonde hair played at the edge of his eyebrows. His eyebrows held no Pack symbol on them.
Jackson.
