I woke up to the sound of birds singing and a slight breeze coming through the room. I sat up slowly, since I was still a little sore in the shoulder. I was hoping it wasn't infected, but I was afraid it might be. I looked around seeing the rest of the room for the first time. I spotted a window on the right side of the room that was open so the breeze would come through. I got up so I could see everything.

I had been on a bed that looked like it was built with cherry wood. It had blood red sheets and a red canopy that was almost like the one back home... if I even have a home left that is. There were two dressers both made of cherry as well. One was on the right side of the room by the window, and the other was in front of the bed with a flatscreen T.V sitting on it. I noticed that to my left and right by the bed was a door, which I assumed was a bathroom. On the far left of the room there was another door, and it seemed like that was where I came in last night so it had to be to the hallway.

I looked down at the end of the bed to find the clothes Tyler promised and a note that said...

    Dear Melynie,
I've put these clothes here like I promised. Please take a shower and change into them if you feel like it. They're my sisters and she's about the same age and size as you, so I ask her to give you some. After you get done, text me. I noticed you still have your phone. Here's my number,
                                             (602)-347-0194
With much love and care, Tyler

I smiled slightly at his sweetness. If only he had been my mate rather than his Alpha. I grabbed the clothes off the bed and wondered into the bathroom. I really needed to pee.

I got my business done before looking at myself in the mirror. I looked awful. My hair was flying everywhere out of my ponytail, and my eyes a grey instead of silver. The shaved lines in my brow were trying to grow back and the bags under my eyes looked awful. I sighed lowly and started taking off my clothes and taking down my hair before turning the shower on and making it as hot as I wanted it to be.

I climbed in and let the water cover my body and hair so it could soak all the nastiness out. I grabbed the shampoo inside the shower and washed my hair thoroughly before moving on to my body. I grabbed the body wash and took off all the grime from the dungeon. I looked at my hurt shoulder to make sure that it was okay. I could tell that it was a little aggravated, but it wasn't infected and it wasn't broken. That meant it would heal as long as I was careful on it. After I was done I turned off the water and got out before drying off. I then put on the clothes on that had been given to me.

I looked at the clothes, and Tyler was right. They were almost my exact size even though they were a little too small. The shirt was a plain black, t-shirt. The jeans were a deep blue. He had given me a jacket as well. I guess just in case I needed it. The boots were black and came up to my knee. They were quite pretty, but I could tell by this outfit that his sister wasn't fancy. If I got to meet her maybe we'd get along because of that. I walked out of the bathroom and grabbed my old clothes. I threw them in the hamper in the bedroom but not before grabbing my phone, wallet and keys. I was guessing I wouldn't need my keys, because my car was at home... if I could call it home anymore. I grabbed the envelope from my dad and stuffed it in the dresser drawer right below the tv.

I sighed and turned on my phone before typing Tyler's number in and texted him saying, "I'm done". My phone showed that he had read it and three dots appeared before a reply was sent. It said, "okay". Okay? Okay can mean a lot of things. I made a face of mock annoyance and waited for someone to walk through the door or something to happen.

That was when Tyler, all gleeful, smiling from ear to ear came walking in while not bothering to knock. He came over to where I was standing by the bed and gave me a hug.

"Hi." He said quietly, still holding onto me. I was extremely confused at this point.

"Hi? Umm, what are we doing today?" He let go and looked at me.

"Well, I figured you were hungry, so I was going to take you somewhere to eat. There's a human city not far from here that we can go to, if you'd like? I already ask Jackson about all this so don't worry. He knows you won't get away." I smiled at his innocence. I was glad I made a friend of him and not an enemy. I have a feeling he would've made my life hell if I hadn't of befriend him.

"Well, it's not like I have anywhere else to go. Though, as long as I have you, I think I'll be happy. Fast food sounds pretty damn good right now." He smiled brightly.

"Okay! Oh, and you'll always have me by your side! You're my new best friend anyway!" I smiled as Tyler grabbed my hand and started dragging me out of the room. I barely had time to shut my door before he pulled me out and down the hallway.

I saw Jackson standing, at what I assumed to be the front door, glaring at Tyler. Tyler just smiled at him. I noticed Jackson looked my way, but I didn't look at him. I also knew he had to have seen the smile I had on, as I happy to be with Tyler rather than him. He probably glared at me too as Tyler pulled me out of the door and into a beautiful garage. Any kind of car, it seemed like, was in here. From cheap to expensive, you could probably find it in here.

"So, what vehicle do you want to take?" Tyler looked at me as I heard the door lock behind us.

"Don't worry about him. He's just being a sore bitch." I looked wide eyed at Tyler who just smiled.

"I know I may seem innocent but I have killed thousands of wolves, and I cuss too. I'm no different than them." He said with a shrug. I knew he was like that, but I'm just glad he trusted me enough to be nice to me.

"How about we take a truck?" Tyler nodded and started pulling me towards the truck area. It was then I noticed they sort of had them sectioned off by vehicle type such as car, truck, or van.

"Okay, which one?" He said once I had a good look at all the trucks. I laughed at all the choices I had.

"Umm, I don't know? Do you have any that are painted orange? Or burnt orange? Those are my favorite colors." He smiled and nodded while heading towards a Ford Powerstroke Diesel that, was in fact, burnt orange. It was really pretty. It was jacked up a bit which made it taller than usual. Steps came down when Tyler opened my door for me.

"The handle is right there if you need it," he said as he pointed to the handle on the side of the cab, "which I mean you may not because your tall, but it's there." I smiled and hopped up into the truck. Like he said I didn't need the handle.

He grabbed keys from a shelf behind the truck and hopped up into the truck and put the keys in the ignition. He pressed a button on the dash and the garage door opened. He turned the keys making the ignition start up and the thing purred like a kitten. It hasn't been tampered with since it came from the factory. I'd say it cost up to one hundred thousand dollars. He let the engine warm up before putting it in drive and heading out.
