Curse Dictionary
Kirishima shook his head. "There's nothing to see ... I deleted it as soon as I wrote it."
Bakugou placed the stack of copies together with the original list on the desk and sat down with him. "Okay, how do you want to start?"
Kirishima sighed, "Something like 'This is a list with the names of future couples on it'?"
Bakugou shook his head. "You're usually so good with words. Write it as if you were explaining it to someone standing right in front of you."
The redhead frowned and thought about it.
"Don't think about it that hard. How would you explain it to Pikachu if he were on that list?"
"Kami? I guess... 'I know it sounds strange, but first listen to me. On this list are the names of couples and your name is on it. This may seem like a bad joke to you, but this list ... has brought me together with the love of my life.'" Kirishima blushed slightly as he spoke the last words.
Bakugou smiled gently and gave him a little kiss. "Perfect introduction. That's how you catch people's attention. Then you can come with the facts."
Kirishima smiled. "Thank you, Kat." He drove his hands into his boyfriend's soft hair.
The ash blonde leaned into the touch for a moment before he pulled away.
It was these little affectionate touches that made their relationship so loving. As future heroes, they regularly underwent hard training. They were both strong guys who pursued their goals with ambition, but when they were together their personalities balanced each other out in a strange way.
Bakugou smiled as he thought about it. He knew that his temperament was as explosive as his quirk, but in Kirishima's presence he was almost balanced.
He watched his boyfriend type the text with concentration. A red strand of hair had loosened from his usual spiky hairstyle and fell into his forehead. Bakugou resisted the urge to stroke it from his forehead and interrupt his concentration.
He was pulled out of his staring when Kirishima finally sighed and turned the laptop in his direction. The blonde leaned in and looked at the screen. He read Kirishima's text while the redhead observed him attentively.
Bakugou smiled. "Sounds great. We can leave it at that."
Kirishima breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank God. I didn't think it would be so hard."
Bakugou laughed lightly and gave him the USB. "There's the scan of the list, you can upload it now."
Kirishima took the small stick and plugged it into the USB port. With a few clicks the picture was uploaded to their page.
"We should also make a video of the glowing writing."
Bakugou nodded and got up. He briefly searched for the lighter, but quickly found it under his notepad. "Where should we do that?" he asked and looked for a neutral background in his room.
Kirishima pointed to the white desk. "If you clear the table, that'll be a good background."
Bakugou snorted and began to remove all the papers, blocks and other stuff from his desk. It wasn't that he was messy, but last week he had been sitting at his desk a lot and hadn't tidied up in between.
When he had cleared a large area of the white tabletop, he waved Kirishima over. "I don't have a tripod, but we could put my phone on the shelf and film downward. That should make it look a bit more professional."
Kirishima laughed. "You perfectionist."
"If we're gonna do it, then we do it right!"
The redhead climbed on Bakugou's desk chair and took his phone. He opened the camera app and positioned the phone so that nothing but the blank desk was visible.
"Is it bright enough?" asked the blonde.
Kirishima shrugged. "I think so. Sucks that it's not daylight anymore."
Bakugou sighed. "Well, you might as well start the video. But be careful that you don't see more than my hands. I don't want anyone to recognize me."
Bakugou kept the list under the camera and Kirishima checked the frame. Then the blonde turned on the lighter and held the edge of the list in the flame. As expected, the glowing writing appeared. Bakugou worked on the piece of parchment until the entire sentence appeared. Then he nodded to his boyfriend and Kirishima stopped the recording.
Bakugou held out his hand to his boyfriend so that he wouldn't break his neck as he climbed down from the swivel chair. Even though it was difficult for him to break his bones because of his quirk, Kirishima took it gratefully.
The redhead sat down on Bakugou's bed again and watched as the blonde looked at the video with a critical eye. He quickly cut away the beginning and end of the video and erased the sound before nodding and sending it to Kirishima.
The redhead quickly added the video to the website and frowned at the screen.
"Is something wrong?" Bakugou asked, confused.
But when Kirishima looked up, he smiled wide. "I think we're done!"
The blonde also had to smile when he sat down on the bed with him. "Then I would suggest we send the letters tomorrow and call it a day?"
Kirishima put the laptop aside and put his arms around his boyfriend. "I'm a little excited," he confessed.
Bakugou pressed firmly back against him and stroked his back. "Everything will be fine. The worst thing that can happen is that people don't believe us. That would be a bad thing after all we've invested, but it doesn't hurt us either."
Kirishima nodded and Bakugou continued. "It's good that we do this anonymously. If the hero Ground Zero is connected to the god of love Cupid, it would take away my credibility."
Kirishima laughed. "A few explosions and excerpts from your curse dictionary and everything would be like before."
Bakugou snorted. "Curse dictionary?"
"You have to admit, you can be pretty creative at cursing." The redhead's eyes sparkled as he detached a bit from him to look at his boyfriend.
"Tch. Shut up, Shitty Hair," growled Bakugou, but couldn't quite suppress the smile surrounding the corners of his mouth before leaning forward to kiss him.
