[Author's POV]
(y/n) was the top hunter in his/her pack, he/she had it all; high ranks, respect, praise, food, a home, and family. (y/n) was happy, and wanted to share this happiness with others, so whenever he/she could (y/n) would help out a citizen in Inkwell Isle, not knowing he/she would meet and fall in love with a certain cup-headed fellow.....

[Cuphead's POV]
"Hello?!" I called out hoping to hear an answer back... but... instead silence.

I got separated from Mugs almost an hour ago, when we're on our way to visit the Root Pack. I've been wandering around in circles all over this forest and I'm exhausted! I've barely had any food all day and my eyes can barely stay open.

And to make matters worse, I felt something drop onto my nose. Looking up, suddenly a full on thunderstorm began, soaking me and making it even harder to see through these thick timber trees.

*TimeSkip🙃*

I shivered rubbing the side of my arms to try to gain a little heat. My feet ached, along with my head, after seeing and walking along what seemed to be the same path every time, it was hard to keep calm still. My stomach gurgled, longing for food, just as my throats felt dry, longing for water.

It has been somewhere around a half an hour, and the storm hasn't gave up yet.

It was hard to stay awake, to continue my search for an exit. I felt my vision haze, and my brain slip in and out of consciousness, until it finally gave up and shut off, resulting in my body collapsing onto the moist grass below.

[(y/n) POV]
I sniffed the wet grass, enjoying the feeling of the rain hitting my fur. I loved storms, just not the loud thunder part.

I was originally out on a hunting mission, when I caught on to an interesting smell and tried tracking it. It smelt neither human nor animal... but rather... an object... but it's moving on it's own.

Intrigued, I've been following for about an hour and a half now. And right now the smell has gotten really strong.

Then I see it!- Er him! He's a guy with a cup for a head! No wonder his smell was different! But he's lying down on the ground. I went over sniffing and nudging him, but he wouldn't wake up. He was unconscious.

Steadily placing him on my back, I started running back to my cave. I soon got there, with my wolf speed. And I placed him on my 'Bed' that I made out of leaves and grass.

I started a fire and placed him near it to get warm. Then I went to my food stash and brought back some of my best berries. I placed them on a leaf in front of him for when he woke up again.

I knew he probably won't be waking up for a while, so I decided to take a nap myself, laying down on the opposite side of the fire. My eyes looked at the guy's cup-headed figure, and noticed how handsome he is and how cute he looked sleeping. I blushed in embarrassment, knowing I've already fallen for him. I sighed and closing my eyes, falling into a peaceful sleep, next to the warm fire.

*TimeSkip🤤*

[Cuphead's POV]
The crackling of fire was all I heard as I slowly awoke. I sat up, and looked around realizing I'm in a cave. I also realized I wasn't the only one here, a wolf was here too.

I internally panicked, because, 1. ITS A WOLF!! 2. Where am I? And 3. How did I get here?!

Being as quiet as possible, I get up and tiptoe to the exit. "MGMMDMS!" I yell with my hands over my mouth, trying to keep quiet, because accidentally stubbed my foot on a giant rock.

I quickly calmed down 'I hope he/she didn't hear me-' "Your awake I see", the wolf, now standing behind me said in a calm voice. I slowly turned around and froze, looking at the wolf. But soon my body relaxed from the sight before me.

I didn't realize how handsome/beautiful he/she was before. His/Her glistening fluffy fur, pearly white canines, and (e/c) orbs shone perfectly in the dim lighting of the fire. I blushed because of this and also of how close our faces were together.

"Are you alright? I hope you're feeling better. I found you in the cold rain, and brought you here to warm up and rest. I also got you some berries, if you like" the wolf said motioning to a leaf with said berries.

My blush died down, and I nodded going over and sitting in front of the food, before stuffing my face with the multicoloured little goodnesses. She sat at the opposite side of the fire and watched me with an amazing smile, causing me to blush more.

After I finished I said thank you and asked "Do you know how to get out of these woods? I got lost and seperated from my brother". He/She smiled and said "Of course! Let's go now, since the rain has stopped" after hearing that I looked out the cave and saw he/she was correct.

I nodded and we headed out. As we walked we had small talk and did little introductions, which lead me to learn the wolf's name is (y/n). I immediately knew I fell in love with (y/n)'s looks and personality. He/She was perfect!

But sadly our chats and laughs came to a stop when we reached the forest's exit. "Well here we are... thanks again for everything (y/n)" I said smiling.

"Of Course! It was a pleasure meeting you Cups"
"Same... hey maybe we can stay in touch?"
"I would love too! I just live in that cave I brought you in, you can visit any time!"
I smiled "Great!"
"Well bye Cups!" He/She turned to start walking away.

I had an idea to do something, but I hesitated at first. "(y/n)!!" I yelled running up to him/her. "Yes Cu- mmmf!" Before (y/n) could finish I swiftly kissed him/her.

(y/n) immediately kissed back, closing his/her eyes. After a little bit I pulled away and ran off waving behind me.

"Bye (y/n)! See ya again sometime!" I yelled back with a red face, leaving a blushing (y/n) frozen behind me.

I can't wait to see him/her again...
