[Author's POV]
Depression is a painful thing, and different people have different ways of dealing with it. Some people take a stand and put all their effort into changing that.... But some people are to rapped up in the negative emotions that they feel like things will never change, so instead they try to cope with it or get their mind off of it. There are different ways people cope with anxiety, anger or depression. Some read, play sports, hang with friend, go to work, shopping....... but what does (y/n) do? He/She plays video games. (y/n)'s favourite is Cuphead, she almost constantly plays it, thinking it will help his/her forget the pain caused by his/her school bullies and his/her parents never caring about him/her. But not even video games help all the time, in those times he/she wishes he/she could be sucked out of this world for good..... Well (y/n) better be ready for a wish come true.....

[(y/n) POV]
I slammed my room door open and threw my back-pack on my bed. I went to my Xbox and turned on Cuphead with the click of a button. While waiting for it to load I got into some clean and comfy clothes, and grabbed a handful of candy from the stash I keep.

Falling into my beanbag chair in front of my Xbox, I saw the starting screen and clicked play. "Alright let's do this" I sighed, stuffing the sugary sweets in my mouth.

*TimeSkip😜*

"Sorry Baroness, but I need that contract" I yawned seeing it was 7:39. I stared at the loading screen waiting for it to take me back to the other levels. I sighed "Cuphead..... please...... don't ever abandon me like everyone else...." I said closing my eyes, and placing my hand on the screen.

"I won't (y/n)..." a voice said from no where. "Huh?" I opened my eyes. When I did the screen flashed, a picture of Cuphead winking at me with a smile was the last thing I remember seeing. Then I blacked out.

"TimeSkip😯"

I woke up on soft grass, I slowly opened my eyes. My vision was blurry, but I could sort of see a figure before me. My eyes started working again and I looked to the figure.

He had his hand opened for me to grab it. I took it and my heart started beating rapidly......... Black shirt, red shorts, red shoes, small red nose, big eyes, red and white Bendy straw..... "CUPHEAD?!?!?!?!" I jumped back.

"Woah! Woah! Calm down (y/n)!" He slowly walked towards me.
"But your- this- video game?-..... wait.... am I in Inkwell Isle?" I said looked around.
"Uhhh yes..... you don't know how long I've been waiting to properly meet you! Your even more gorgeous in person...." he blushed.
I blushed "wha?".
"Come on I'll explain on the way" he started guiding me down a path.

*TimeSkip😲*

Cuphead gave me a tour of Inkwell Isle, introduced me to some of his friends, and even introduced me to his brother! He made me laugh once in a while, he was so kind and turns out we had a lot in common. He also explained to me how I got there. Turns out whenever I played the game he actually saw me. He already knew I was depressed most of the time. He knew a lot about me actually and some how found a way to bring me into the game.

Sitting on a bench we watched the sun slowly fall underneath the small town. I watched wishing this wasn't a dream, wishing I won't have to go back, wishing I could see this beauty all the time..... wishing I could stay with Cuphead forever.

I turned to look over at Cuphead, he was staring at me for some reason. "(y/n), do you like it here?"
"Yes" I simply replied keeping a poker face.
"So you want to stay?"
"Yes"
"If you stay........ Would you like to be my girlfriend?" He looked down with a blush.
"No...."
"Oh........" he looked down.
I cupped his cheek and made him face me "I would love to" he immediately grabbed my face and kissed me. I kissed back.
When we pulled apart he said "I promise I'll bring joy back to your beautiful face again".
And I answered with a smile "You already have".
