[Author's POV]
(This oneshot is for my great friend Breana or also known as Brea, go check her out!) Breana's boyfriend of two years now, Cuphead, was planning a huge surprise for the love of his life. A very romantic date on their anniversary. Sadly for him though, it's seems nothing's going according to plan.....

[Cuphead's POV]
"Mugs!!! What are you doing?! That's not how the placement is supposed to be! Cagney!!! Those are the wrong flowers!! Baroness! I said Cupcakes!! Not Muffins!!" I groaned while holding a clipboard.

"Cuphead! Muffins and cupcakes are technically the same thing! Just with frosting" Baroness sighed rolling her eyes, and pulling out a frosting tube before placing some on each muffin.

Mug man scurried around the table to fix his mistake. Cagney huffed in annoyance replanting the new flowers and planning on taking the old ones back home with him. He would never hurt a flower!

"Buddy, you need to calm down" Hilda Berg laughed and floated down on a cloud after hearing all the commotion. "How can I calm down!! Everything has to be perfect! This is for Brea!!" I said stressed.

[Author's POV]
Everyone just sighed in annoyance, they truly wanted to help their friend Cuphead, but he can get really bossy.

Cups continued to order everyone and thing, not noticing their salty attitudes.

After hours of this, Grim Matchstick came flying down, landing next to the cup-headed boy. "S-Sorry I'm l-late Cuphead... I was a bit busy" Grim explained nervously, Cuphead just rolled his eyes "Ok, you're here now and that's all that matters, go light the candles around the area" he instructed not even giving Grim a glance as his eyes were glued to the clipboard.

Grim nodded shakily and went over to the candles slowly blowing flames onto each one. Suddenly Grim spotted a butterfly out of his eye, he smiled "Woah! Hi butterfl-" all of a sudden it land on his nose and he breathed in heavily.

A burst of flames came out of his mouth as he sneezed. Grim fell back from the force, holding his nose, he looked up and saw chaos. The flames caught onto to the Baroness's dress and burnt the cupcakes as she screamed. She ran around panicking, until she ran past the flowers and they caught on fire still screaming. Cagney gasped and yelled, sad for his precious flowers. The flowers, being so close to the ice sculpture, started melting the sculpture into water. The Baroness tripped into the puddle, causing the flames on her dress to go out. Everyone was wide eyed with shock after seeing that all play out. Cuphead wasn't wide eyed, but rather red with rage and about to give everyone a price of his mind. But then someone behind him spoke "Cuphead?...".

{Breana's POV}
"Cuphead?..." I walked up onto the hill Cuphead told me to meet him on, just to see an explosion of flames and Cuphead with an angry expression. He quickly turned to face me and gave a surprised and sad expression "Brea?... I-I- You weren't suppose to come y-yet! This-This wasn't suppose... to h-happen! UGH THIS IS ALL A MESS!... I just wanted our anniversary to be perfect..." he looked down and dropped his clipboard.

I hugged him "Cups.... The thing that would've made our anniversary enjoyable... would be if I just got to spend time with you... this big party set up is nice... but I don't need all this..." she laughed "Thanks for doing this though".

Cuphead laughed nervously "I guess I did go a little overboard...". Everyone groaned and Cagney yelled "Ya think!?".

Breana nodded and laughed "Thanks... I love you Cups" she smiled, everyone awwwed. Cuphead smiled and kissed her mumbling

"I love you too Brea... Happy Anniversary..."
