Following morning, Haesoo was about to have a seat when her classmates surrounded her like bees attracted to a flower.
"How did it feel like to be rescued by the prince?" One girl asked with eyes as round as soccer. Haesoo couldn't recall what what she talking about.
"Believe me,if I were in your position I would have seen flowers around me like in shojo manga when the main character rescues the heroin." Still no bell rang in her mind while her classmates blabbered about yesterday's incident.
"The way Taehyung snatched her like Edward Cullen,ah I could die then and there"
"Who's Edward Cullen?" Haesoo managed to find Haerin within the crowd as she whispered loudly to her. Haerin looked at her friend as if she couldn't believe her friend had no idea who the hell was Cullen.
"He's a vampire and you are coming to my home very soon to watch twilight with me!"
"And the way he was angry at poor Jungkook. I felt bad for him but god damn Taehyung looked so freaking hot"Another girl gushed. Haesoo didn't mind the new company she was having but she didn't like the fact that the girls who never bothered to talk to her were talking now just to hear about Taehyung.
Just they were about to bombard more questions, speaking of the devil Taehyung took a seat near by them as unbothered as always. One of the girls even tried to catch his attention but it was vain. It was clear he was still sleepy.
"Good morning, Taehyung!" The girl chirped.
Taehyung barely managed to nod his head as resumed to have a good nap.
"Ugh,I don't mind tucking him to sleep." As soon as the word got out from one of the girls, Haesoo's faces turned into tomato.
"Are you feeling sick?" Taehyung shifted in his seat, hearing Haesoo being sick.
Did she perhaps catch cold last night?
On the contrary, Haesoo was afraid what if someone knew that actually she did tuck him to sleep. Even if she didn't say that aloud, clearly her face would.
"No-no I'm completely fine!" Haesoo said extra cheerly than necessary.
" Good morning students" thanks to the home room teacher, Haesoo managed to escape the curious gaze of her classmates as they retreated back to their seats. The teacher began to take attendence and when Haesoo's turn came he asked her to stand up.
"Jung Haesoo and Park Haerin can you please stand up?"
They both shared a puzzle look with one another and tried to remember what could they did to get in trouble.
"Exchange your seats and Miss Jung help your seatmate Taehyung with classes. Alrighty?" The teacher resumed calling the others students name while Haesoo and Haerin gathered their things.
Jungkook was looking at Haesoo with longing as if he didn't want her to change her seat and just remain seated with him. He didn't like the thought of her not seating with him. And on top of that he wanted to mend things between them. After the incident yesterday they didn't get to see one another and Jungkook was embarrassed of himself for the incident for not being able to see past her demeanor. He was a shy guy so it wasn't even easy for him to approach the girl and apologize. But he was ready to swallow his timid nature and face her.
But as soon as Haesoo searched his eyes to bid him,he averted his gaze to the very opposite of Haesoo as if he wasn't looking at her. Something inside Haesoo broke at the sight of Jungkook trying to ignore her. She was agitated as she stood up from her seat, her belongings glued to her bosom and sat beside Taehyung.
Taehyung seemed as unbothered as always as Haesoo sat beside him. Haesoo wanted to say hello to him but knew he wouldn't even lift his head to acknowledge her in the school so she just retrieved her books and copies for the next class. But little did she know Taehyung was the one who went to teacher's lounge and asked the homeroom teacher whether Haesoo could assist him in classes. And knowing that Taehyung wasn't the type of student who asked teacher for much help, the teacher was happy to help him any way possible.
"Get ready for maths class"

"You didn't even ask me a single question. I'm having doubt you are just zooming out."
Taehyung put the literature book with a thud and looked at Haesoo. True to his word Haesoo was not paying much attention, rather thinking about Jungkook and mostly Taehyung. It was not like Taehyung participated in class or took notes in class. So when she was asked to copy the content in his copy she didn't know why. But without complaining she did as she was asked to do so. But the thing that nagged her mind was that Taehyung turning blind eyes on her as if she didn't exist. She didn't ask to have a full blown conversation with her but at least a hello and eye contact here and there would be nice.
"Why don't you look at me in the eyes when we are in school? Are you ashamed to be my friend?"
Taehyung was taken a back by her words. He didn't see that coming obviously. On the other hand Haesoo picked her her frayed cotton strings on her shirt, trying very hard not to make any eye contact as if she was embarrassed to hear herself. She mentally slapped her forehead for being noisy.
Taehyung scooted closer to her as he demanded to look at him. But Haesoo wanted to look anywhere but him.
"Hey I said look at me. "
Taehyung lifted his fingers to angle her face toward him. Dejavu hit Haesoo like truck recalling Taehyung being this close to her in infirmary. She could smell the fragrance of his faint cotton softener. She wanted to lean in more as if she had been enchanted but she was certain that she would come off creepy.
But this time Taehyung's hand didn't linger on her,his elbow resting on the table.
"What do you want me to do? Say 'hello! When are you coming to cuddle with me?'"
Taehyung said in high pitch, trying to imitate girly voice. But despite of his attempt, his deep voice seemed like it wasn't cooperating with his sarcasm.
Haesoo frowned at him as she tried to shift her body to the other side of the room, making an effort to face away from him. Taehyung grabbed her arm as he tilted his head but Haesoo wouldn't give in.
"I'm leaving."
Haesoo grabbed her bag but Taehyung wouldn't let go of her. Haesoo gave him the deadliest glare she could master but to her defy Taehyung laughed at her. It seemed like Taehyung began to smile more often than he started tutoring her. Haesoo endeavored hard not to infected by contagious smile, pulling a poker face.
"Who said you are dismissed?" Taehyung flashed a tender smile, now using his other hand which was uninjured to keep her in place. She was about to zip her bag but as he restricted her movement she squirmed in his arm. Something inside her bag caught his eyes, clutching Haesoo's both wrists with his one hand and he retrieved a small green shopping bag made out of paper, adorned with massive white polka dots.
"Looks like someone received a gift?" Taehyung arched an eye brow, putting the contents on the table. At this point Haesoo stopped fighting off as she observed him. But as soon as Taehyung laid the things on table his face face lit up like a five year boy who received Christmas present.
"You brought matcha scorn for me ?"by this time he let go of her wrists, busy with seeing what was in the thermoflask.
"I heard chamomile tea helps to sleep...." she said gingerly.
Taehyung stole a glance at her and he felt something in his stomach. He couldn't name what was it but he was certain he never felt it before. He stood up from the floor where they were studying using a coffee table and made his way to grab the bowl of chocolate that laid on his wardrobe and placed on the table.
"I know you steal my chocolate on a daily basis. Why not take all of them in return?"Taehyung said with a smirk. On the other hand her face flushed with blush.
"Bu-but you don't even like chocolate. What's the harm! Why do you even keep them when you don't eat chocolate ?"
"I empty the chocolates I receive from girls when I come back school in the bowl. What an I supposed to do with them? Throw away?"
Haesoo gasped. She couldn't believe he was handing her down the chocolates that he received from his fangirls to her. "I don't need your bloody chocolates of your fangirls!" Haesoo's face now turned red with rage and humiliation.
"Is your time of the month eminent or is that jealousy I hear?"
"Taeee!"
He ripped the wrapper and fed the chocolate into her mouth. Simultaneously munching on his favorite matcha scorn from the cafe Haesoo worked with a smile brighter than a star.
