Taehyung came back early then he had planned, in fact he left right after that one couple left. He unlocked the door and saw Jungkook shoot up to greet him. Taehyung's softened. He opened his arms and Jungkook jumped into his embrace.

"Hey baby," Taehyung said softly.

Jungkook looked up from Taehyung's chest and grinned, "Hello!" He greeted excitedly.

Taehyung kissed the crown of Jungkook's head. He then planted little kisses all over his face. He hugged him closer and more lovingly.

"Jungkook," Taehyung started.

"Yeah?"

"I wanted to tell you that the restaurant didn't call me in... I asked if I could do an extra shift," Taehyung rubbed the nape of his neck looking away sheepishly.

"Okay... why?" Jungkook asked, rightfully so.

"Because, I felt I need to be alone. I'm sorry would could've spent time together."

Taehyung didn't look at him, he just looked down. Jungkook smiled at him, though he couldn't see.

"Well you're here now I and I remember you promised me something when you got back,... or Y'know what never mind, I think we should talk things through." Jungkook said paused, "no! Actually don't talk here write, you express yourself best when you write."

Jungkook hurriedly made his way over to a box that had a few thing Taehyung had backed, and pulled out a binder, the same one he read when he went to Taehyung's house. He opened it to the incomplete paragraph.

"Finnish this story."

"No."

-

After a lot of arguing Taehyung sat at the dining table a pen in hand. Taehyung always used to write in pen he felt nice writing all the letter by hand although now he did it have time to write and rewrite.

He opened the binder, he gave it up when he moved him with Hoseok. He replaced writing with bottles and cigarettes. He started writing this shit story, when he was debating telling his parents his sexuality.

He continued it on the streets when he couldn't sleep. Then it just kind of disappeared. He looked at the tear stained pages, and felt a very harsh rush of nostalgia hit him.

"I don't even remember what it's about," Taehyung complained, turning his attention away from the shit in front of him.

"Then read it and put to and to together!" Jungkook said back.

"It sucks it has no structure and everything's all over the place, how am I supposed to complete an unstructured story?" Taehyung asked.

"Edit it, rewrite it, then complete it."

"Jungkook, I haven't got time to waste on this crap," Taehyung said getting up.

Jungkook sighed, he looked over the pages and noticed something s he didn't notice the first time, the tears and stains. He picked it up and read the word out loud,

"   He was lost in the space he created. The room he made to perfectly fit the ideal life he could never achieve. He wanted something that'll never become reality and he couldn't do anything about it. But he could, he could make his space a reality.
With a lot of hardship and loss, he could create a new ideal, and make that his happiness."

Taehyung froze and listened to every word his sixteen year old self wrote. He wanted to complete it. Jungkook wanted him to complete it and in that moment it was enough.

"Fine, I'll finish it."

"Yay," Jungkook cheered.

Taehyung sat back down and out on his glasses. He took a red pen to mark all the mistakes so he could rewrite it.

-

It was almost three in the morning and he only had two hours before his natural body clock would wake him up for sunrise. The thing is he hadn't slept, he stayed up all night editing it. He took a new stack of lined paper and finally he could rewrite it.

He got up and grabbed a drink of juice to let his had rest. He finished the drink and crawled into bed, stripping himself of his top. He laid next to Jungkook wrapping his arms around him closer, his cuddle buddy arrangement had resulted in so much more.

Taehyung stared lovingly at his boyfriend, planting a kiss on his lips. Jungkook turned around and moved closer to Taehyung, in his sleep. Taehyung smiled planting another their kiss.

He grabbed his phone and texted Yoongi, of course Yoongi was sleeping but he was just letting the other know hat was going on. And how he was finishing that story he never let Yoongi read. And how he missed his parents.

He ended his messages with a "thank you hyung" and usual. He then took his earphone out, playing his favourite song. He stayed laying in bed, lightly humming the calm song.

Before he knew it the sun was already rising. He got out of bed never missing the sunrise. Taking cup of water this time he sat wrapped in a blanket. Sitting on the balcony, looking over the city once again.

The painful feeling in his chest came back, this time he went to the dining table and continued writing. He finished copying the edited version in no time and began writing more.

-

Taehyung hadn't slept and time for school was approaching. Weekend passed by so quickly it's like it never even happened. In fact spring was already over and it was getting hotter. Taehyung woke Jungkook up.

"Yaaaaaah, get he hell up, we're late!" Taehyung exclaimed in a panicked tone he faked really well.

Jungkook shot out of bed, "wait, what time is it?"

"Nine thirty!" He told looking more panicked.

"Might as well, skip school then," Jungkook had caught onto Taehyung lies.

Taehyung sighed, sitting next to Jungkook.

"Kiss?" Jungkook asked.

Taehyung leaned in and pecked Jungkook's lips. He smiled at him leaning on his forehead on Jungkook's forehead. Taehyung moved his head onto Jungkook's shoulder.

"Taehyungie," Jungkook called, once he heard a hum from the other he continued, "D'you want to skip school today?"

Taehyung looked at Jungkook. He looked all over the boys face and saw he really wanted them to stay the way they are.

"I thought your parents watched you all the time to make sure you don't skip school?" Taehyung asked hoping, Jungkook would just go to school, since he really wanted to attend today literature class.

"I'm sure they know I get sick every once in a while," Jungkook snorted finally looking at Taehyung.

Taehyung smiled lightly at him, "Okay, you wanna lay in bed all day, or should we watch a movie?"

Jungkook snickered.

-

"Can you believe I still get texts whenever that Tae skips school," Taehyung's mum complained to his dad.

"I don't know why he gave your number, he should've given that other guy, Yoongi's, number instead."

"It's been three years already huh," his mother sighed, "Time, sure flys."

His parents kicked him out of the house without hesitation when he came out. But you see they're still his parents and still wonder what he's doing, if he's well, if he's even alive. That text was the reassurance. That he was alive and well, maybe not so well, considering he was not in school.

"What do you think he's doing?" His father pondered.

"I don't know I can't even imagine, to be honest," his mother also looked off.

"You think we should call him?" His mother asked.

"If you want." That was his dad's way of saying yes.

"Should we invite him for the summer holidays?"

"After three years, I doubt he'll come," his dad replied with a heavy chest.

"It's worth a shot."

They were both silently thinking the same thing — they wanted to apologise.

-

Jungkook was leaning on Taehyung when he heard a phone ring.

"Tae I think your phones ringing," Jungkook voiced.

Taehyung picked it up, and saw 'mum' on the caller ID. He gasped, he showed it to Jungkook who mouthed for him to pick it up. Taheyung did so hesitantly.

"Uhh... hello?"

"Taheyung? Tae is that you?" His mothers sweet voice spoke through the phone. Taheyung was about to burst into tears,

Taheyung hummed, "Yes, mum, it's me." His eyes were almost in tears.

"Ah Taheyungie, Why're skipping school, y'know the school still sends me messages when you absent?"

Taehyung let out a bitter laugh and spoke ignoring his mother's question, "Why're you calling?"

"I can't call my own son?"

Taehyung's emotions turned into salt, "not when you disown him, and say he's not your son anymore," Taehyung snapped.

Jungkook eyes him worry apparent in his eyes.

"About that, Taehyungie, we've thought about it a lot and realised we kinda' over... reacted. To be honest we wanted to apologise, and maybe... invite you over for he summer holidays, but it's-it's fine if you don't-don't want to come —"

"Mum, mum it's okay" Taehyung had dreamed about this happing for years now, "I would love to but... but is it okay if I bring my boyfriend?" He said as he met eyes with Jungkook, who gave him a reassuring smile, as if to say you don't have too.

"Would we really say no?"

Taheyung snickered, "you never know."

"Of course honey, of course you can bring him."
