I ended up taking a quick bath after breakfast to try and calm my nerves. Now realizing that the whole demon situation wasn't just a dream, it all started to affect my stress.

Yes I'm well aware this town is far from normal, I'm not normal myself, but I still wasn't used to it.

Once my bath was done, I got dressed and dried my hair, heading back downstairs. Ana was on the couch reading a book, and when she noticed me walking over, she sat up. "Hey, you doing okay?"

"Yeah, of course. Why do you ask?"

"You've just been acting kinda weird since yesterday."

I put on my best smile. "Sorry if I worried you, I'm just trying to get used to my new home."

"You mean the house itself, or the town?"

At that, I tensed up a little. Letting out a sigh, I sat beside her. "I know this place is the reason why we have magic, I expected this place to be strange.. I just didn't expect so much.."

She tilted her head, worry clear on her face. "Did something happen on your wall yesterday..?"

Could I tell her..?

It's not that I didn't trust her, she's my sister, of course I trusted her; more than my own parents.

But I didn't want her to be in any danger..

So instead, I shook my head. "Just an encounter with some gobbling, nothing I couldn't handle."

"Well, if you say you're okay.. You know you can always talk to me, Icy.."

"I know, thanks.." I then stood up, going to the counter and grabbing my back. "I'm gonna head to town though, I'd like to see where everything is so I can get used to things."

"Alright, don't come home too late."

"I won't, see you in a bit."

And so, I left the house. Long walks would always calm me down no matter the situation, and at least this time it wasn't through the forest. This way, I could learn where the grocery store was, where the school was, and any places of entertainment we could go to some day.

The town itself, being a small one, was a peaceful one.

"Too peaceful, if you ask me."

"EEK!!" I looked down at my shoulder, seeing a tiny version of the yellow demon now sitting on my shoulder. "Could you stop doing that?!"

"But your face is priceless every time!"

"You're unbelievable."

"Thank you!"

Rolling my eyes, I tried to shake him off. "Can't you leave me alone for just one second?"

"I'm not suppose to be more than fifteen feet away from you."

"Wait, even when I'm showering?!"

"Ew, what do you think of me?!" He floated to be in front of me. "I go to the Mindscape whenever you do stuff like that, as if I'd want to see something so nasty!"

I let out a sigh. "Thank God.. Wait, Mindscape?"

"It's like the dimension of the mind, everything that thinks for itself has their own Mindscape, I simply enter my own."

"Huh.."

That's when I noticed his eyes flicker for a second, and his carefree expression changed to something more serious. Before I could ask about it though, he quickly gave a smile. "Well, since you want me gone, I'll head to the Mindscape right now. I have something to check anyway."

"Wait-!"

He disappeared into thin air, leaving me alone with my thoughts. What was that about?

I shook my head, it wasn't any of my business anyway, so I simply continued to walk through town.

There was a diner, a laser tag place, a roller skating ring, a park, an ice cream shop, and many more places that people constantly went to. For a small town, it had a lot of places to hang out.

However, as I walked through the park, I could here strange noises coming from the bushes..

At first I thought it was just some animal, so I kept ignoring it. But the more time that passed, the louder the bushes rustled around, and the more I started to grow afraid.

Maybe it was time to head home now..

I tried not to act suspicious as I speed-walked home, my blood running cold. As I got closer to my home, I felt more relieved, and the rustling had stopped.

Then that's when a strange blue glow started up in front of me, and only seconds later, my vision started becoming hazy..

And soon after, everything went black..
