🎩 Chapter 2: Normal 🎩

~~~~~~~~~Third Person POV~~~~~~~~~
This wasn't her first time in this town, but she wasn't as familiar with it as other people. Still, she had enough knowledge about it.
Iris Sophia Carson, a lovely young woman who had only turned twenty years old about a month ago. Light skin, lavender eyes, and really bright blonde hair that reached her waist, with a little beauty mark under her eye. She had just recently moved to this town to study Botany, since she has always had a deep love for nature.
Another reason was because of her younger sister Ana, who had just turned eighteen. Both decided to by a small house in this town, away from the big cities.
It was a nice, with many rumors surrounding it. Everyone should have a chance to visit.
But there was only one problem.
Not everyone could enter such a place, only a few in the world were selected. They had a certain trait that allowed them to enter.
Iris had that trait, though she was never proud of it. Sometimes she even wanted it gone.
After about ten minutes of walking, she finally reached a small house at the end of a street. It was cute, the walls a very light blue, with flowers all around. She smiled at the sight, gently knocking on the door.
The girl who opened the door had very similar feature to her. Same colored hair, but this time it reached her shoulders, and the same skin tone, but her eyes were a periwinkle blue, and no beauty mark.
She smiled brightly at the sight of her older sister, immediately wrapping her in a hug. "Icy, you're here!!"
Iris giggles a bit, hugging her little sister back. "Hi, Ana, sorry for taking a while.."
"It's fine!" She took Iris's hand, dragging her inside before closing the door. "Well, welcome to our new home!"
She looked around, it definitely brought a homey feeling. Nothing too extraordinary, but definitely beautiful.
Ana took a pair a key that lied down on the couch, offering it over. "Here, now this is officially your home."
"Thanks." She chuckled a bit, then let out a sigh. "Let's catch up in a bit, but I should put my bag upstairs first."
"Alright!"
And with that, she headed upstairs to the room with the open door. The room wasn't too small, with a simple twin bed, an empty drawer, a nightstand with a small lantern, and a small window beside the bed to let the fresh air float inside. Iris placed her bag down and looked out of the window, taking a deep breath. There was so much forest in this town that the air always felt so clean and refreshing.
However, a strange feeling hid itself in the winds, one she could recognize. This town was actually invisible to most human eyes, and those who knew about it all had one thing in common.
Magic.
In this town, fantasy and supernatural beings are nothing but a common thing just around the corner. Most of the villagers had at least a little, some didn't, but were familiar with it; point was that everyone knew about it here.
Iris was a part of it. Somewhere deep in her family tree is someone who was born in this peculiarity of a town, and many generations after, it still affects the family. I mean, imagine being born as a dragon hybrid, having to hide your wings and tail from a world who didn't believe in such things.
Being born and raised in Iceland, with an Icelandic mother and Albanian father, as far as she was concerned, no one knew magic existed, and she couldn't risk being caught and sent to some lab or a circus. Same went for her sister, who even though never had any nonhuman parts, still had magic that needed to be hidden.
Yet, in Gravity Falls, things like magic and hybrid and unimaginable things were common here..
Almost normal..
There was a soft knock on the door, turning around to see Ana standing by the doorway. "You settling in okay?"
"Yeah, just need to put my clothes in the drawer, but I can do that later."
"Want me to serve you anything? Some lemonade? Juice?"
"Just a water is fine."
"Ah, same old Icy with no taste at all."
"Hey!" She ruffled her younger sister's head, both of them letting out a laugh. "Not like you're any better. Who's the one who can live out of plain bread for months?"
"Bread tastes good!"
"Not plain bread, at least toast it first."
Blowing a small raspberry, Ana walked back downstairs. Iris rolled her eyes, thought a smile still lingered on her face, before her gaze went back to the window.
She stared at it for another while, when a realization finally came to mind. Remembering she didn't have to hide them anymore, a soft lavender glow surrouded her, and she soon fluttered her beautiful dragon wings.
"Maybe I can go for a fly later.."
