It had been a few months since everything happened; right now, we were in the middle of summer, and things were honestly pretty relaxed.

Everyone was alive, thankfully. My parents were more than proud of us for all we did, and it made me happy, though I was just grateful they were okay, along with my siblings.

Jake spoke with his voice all the time now. It took him a while to get used to talking with his mouth rather than his hands, and everyone was really surprised when he did, but we were all happy for him, especially Jade, and they were still happily together.

Fiona was actually able to gather the courage to ask Cassandra out on a date, and they officially started dating about a month ago. Things seemed to be going pretty well for them.

As for me, Lara and I had been a couple for about three months now, and I can genuinely say I've been happy with the time we spend together. She's also been visiting her father once a month to try and start the father-daughter relationship she always hoped for. Sure, it was happening pretty slowly, but progress is progress nonetheless.

Courtney had been sent to jail, and Wes was sent to a special home. We were able to get him a pass to someplace where he could learn to be better, and away from his uncle.

Our senior year had finally ended, and after this summer was over, things would get pretty chaotic.

But hey, after you've fought against several murderers and barely survived, I think we can handle a little college life.

We'd all go to different schools, unfortunately, but even until the end, we swore to never lose contact with each other. For family and friends, we have been through hell and back, and survived it all beside each other.

At the moment, I sat on the roof of my house, holding my top hat necklace in my hand, a small smile on my face.

"Busy?" I heard a voice ask, making me look up. Lara slowly slithered you the wall in her snake form.

"Nah."

She slithered over to be beside me, turning human. "What are you doing then?"

"Just thinking.

"Have you visited Bill again?"

I nodded. Something I learned throughout this was that the necklace would lead me to Bill's last spotted location, a beautiful white tree with lavender leaves gently falling around it. I visited him often, Jade and Fi usually coming with me, and we'd listen to the millions of stories he had in the universe that was his brain.

"Yeah, just yesterday actually. You should come with us next time."

"You think he'd be okay with that..?"

I gently wrapped an arm around her, placing a kiss on her cheek. "Of course, you're family too now.."

She smiled a bit, snuggling against my neck, letting me rest my own on hers. "It would be cool to meet him.."

"He's.. definitely interesting."

"Smart?"

"Brilliant."

"I see where you got it from then." She giggled a little as my cheeks grew red, puffing them.

"O-oh shush."

"You're adorable when you try to be angry."

I stuck my tongue out at her in annoyance, making her laugh, and I soon joined in. She then rested her head on my shoulder once more, gently holding my hand.

"I'm really glad I met you, Gabe.."

"Me too.."

I had a great family, great friends, great girlfriend. I was happy, and confident, and most important of all, I was alive.

Whatever the future may bring..

I was ready to take it on head first.
