"Jade..!"

"Jaiden!!"

...

"C'mon, wake up!!"

"You have to wake up!!!"

"P-please, don't give in!!!"

"Don't leave me!!!"

Floating in an empty darkness, a voice kept calling out to her. But it was so unfamiliar, she had never heard them before.

It was deep, a little raspy, with a slight accent she couldn't recognize. They had never heard this person before, but they kept calling for her to wake up, to not give up.

And she listened.

Slowly, her eyes fluttered opened, flinching a bit as the pain in her body started to return, but her eyes quickly focusing on the one who stared back at her.

"Jakob..?"

A sigh of relief escaped the boy's lips, wiping away a few tears. "Th-thank God you're awake.."

"Heh, yeah, that makes two of us.." She smiles at him, but in a moment of realization, her eyes grew wide, sitting up. "W-wait, you talked!!"

"Huh..?"

"You just spoke, I heard your voice!!"

He didn't reply instantly, placing a hand over his neck. "I had to wake you up somehow.. I-I couldn't let you give in and.. d-die.."

Her cheeks grew pink before wrapping him in a warm embrace, catching him off guard. "You ignored your worst fears just for me..?"

"Of course.." He hugged her back, burying his face in her shoulder. "I-I can't lose you, Jade.."

"I can't lose you.." She pulled away with a small giggle. "Though this might need some getting used to.."

He gave her a sheepish smile, then helped her stand up. "We need to wake up the others.."

And they managed to. However, what frightened them was that Gabe and Wes were nowhere to be seen, as if the ground just swallowed them whole, they were gone.

Jade gripped her arms. "G-guys, you don't think Gabe's.."

"Don't finish that sentence." Fiona replied with a sharp tone, but the pain was there. She didn't want to believe that either.

Cassie gently took her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze of reassurance, Fi's cheeks growing red. "He's a strong one, I'm sure he's alive and fighting.."

"He is.." They all turned to Lara, who's eyes glowed a bright green, hand over her chest. "He's close to us, I just don't know where.."

"Over there!" They all tensed up as Jake pointed as they saw two colored lights zooming around not too far from them.

They were about to run over and help, when a line of electricity covered the entire area in front of them, lighting shooting from above and forcing them back.

"Sorry, sweethearts!" A familiar girl landed in front of the barrier, smiling warmly. "But I can't let you intervene~!"

Gun in hand, Fiona quickly shot a bullet in her direction, Courtney simply disappearing and reappearing behind them in the blink of an eye. "Oops, missed me!"

Another shot, this time a dark orb sent from Cassie, and again she teleported to another corner. "Missed me again! How fun is this game! But how about we add some more fun to it?"

Just like that, she split into five of herself, each one floating in front of the five teens, her repeated giggles filling the air.

"Don't waste your energy." Lara pointed out as they all backed away, forming a circle with their backs. "She's too fast for us, we can't risk getting too tired by fighting."

"We have to fight though, otherwise she'll kill us!" Fiona replied.

The only thing heard was Courtney's laughter and the loud thunders, none of them speaking. That is, until Jake stepped back a bit, his expression serious.

Jade noticed, looking back in worry. "Jake..? What are you..-?"

Before anything else could be said, he pulled off the patch that covered his right eye, or at least, what everyone assumed to be his right eye. Instead there was only a glowing green cut here his eyes should've been, surrounded by what seemed to be a burned bruises with glowing green veins around it.

They others stared in disbelief, unsure with how to react, but came back to reality when all of the Courtneys disappeared. The veins on his face began to glow, his normal eye closing.

Silence overtook them, until he finally spoke. "Fi, shoot your gun in.."

Gripping her gun, she waited for a signal. Finally, he yelled "Now!!", and she shot the gun at whatever was in front. To their surprise, she ended up shooting one of the Courtney clones, making her disappear.

Cassie looked at him in surprise. "How'd you do that?!"

"I-I've always been able to, I just hate doing it.." His voice was forced out, almost as if he was in a lot of pain just by doing so. "Jade, in front of you!!"

As told, Jade quickly formed a dark matter orb, throwing it in front of her and hitting another clone, making it disappear.

They were able to defeat the four clones, the real Courtney appearing, and for the first time, they saw he'd genuinely angry. "You brats ruined my game!!!"

"Let us see Gabriel, and we will go easy on you!!" Lara yelled back, all of them glaring daggers at her.

With a forced giggle, she tried to smile. "Even if you asked nicely, I can't let you do that!"

Jade had an arm wrapped around her boyfriend to help him stand. "Why not?!? Why do you even care about us?!?"

She landed on the ground, a wide and sickening smile spread across her face. "Because I want his life force for myself!"

"... what..?"

"As you might've already seen, Gabe has had multiple encounters with the one and only Bill Cipher, and he's gotten so much more powerful because of it, and I want it!! I want that power all to myself!!" She laughed, but it wasn't the cutesy innocent laugh she always gave.

This time it was psychotic, maniacal, like a true villain. "I need him to kill Wes so he'll get to his full power potential, and then I'll slice his throat open and gain all that power for myself!!! I couldn't care less about Wes anyways, he was just dumb pawn in my game!!!"

"This chick is insane!!" Fiona exclaimed as they all backs away. "We need to get to Gabe, fast!!"

Jade looked back to where the two boys still continued to fight. "We can't let him kill Wes!!"

"Thanks for the fun time, demon spawns!!" She laughed once more, raising a hand as they all watched her energy crackled all over her hand, ready to send shocks all throughout their bodies.

But the pain never came.

Instead they heard a scream, then a thud, looking over to see a black chain with a dark green glow holding her wrist and forcing her to the ground. Her eyes burned in anger, trying to pull her arm away. "What?!? Who's doing this?!?"

Somehow sensing the familiar power, they all turned to Lara, who shook her head in reply.

Cassie quickly looked back, seeing the line of lighting had disappeared. "Guys, we can go!!"

They all turned back, and didn't think twice about leaving Courtney on her own, hoping they weren't too late.
