Song: Class Fight - Melanie Martinez
~~~~~~~~~Third Person POV~~~~~~~~~
"-but she just ended up giving the quiz in the end anyways, so it was all for nothing!" Jade closed her locker, pouting as she told her story.
Fiona simply shrugged. "At least you're passed it now."
"I guess so." She then turned to her brother, who had been leaning against the lockers, staring off into space. "Gabe?"
"Hm?"
"Are you okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Well you've been staring off into space an awful lot and-" She stopped her words as she looked in the same direction he had been looking at, her eyes widening a little.
Not too far from them was Lara, searching for her books in her locker, noticeably tense. Jade grew a little worried, looking back up at her brother. "Why are you staring at her..?"
He finally looked down. "We did say we'd keep an eye on her, didn't we?"
"Well, y-yes, but.."
"But you seem a little too chill about this." Fiona responded for Jade with a small glare, Jade nervously fiddling with a strand of hair.
Gabe crossed his arms. "Well, maybe there's nothing to worry about."
"Nothing to worry about?! Did you forget what happened six years ago?! How she and her dad nearly killed us?!"
"Did they kill us? No, we're all alive, we're all healthy. Did you two forget that both of them let us go and ran away?"
Both girls stayed silent, and Jade soon let out a sigh. "You.. may be right.."
"To some extent." Fiona added. "But I still don't trust this girl, it could all still be a trap."
"I know that, Fi. But we won't know anything if we don't get to know her, we need all the information we can get."
He looked back over to the girl with the pink hair, who was now being talked to by Wes and some other guy, and it was easy to tell she was uncomfortable by the situation.
A low growl escaped the boy's lips, slightly baring his fangs as he glared at the scene, and before Fi or Jade could protest, he had already made his way over. "Hey, leave her alone."
Wes quickly went from cocky to mad at the sight of Gabe, remembering the little talk they had a few days ago. "Mind your own business, Anderson."
"I'm making this my business if I want to."
Lara closed her locker, her voice a bit of a whisper. "Gabe, it's okay, you don't have to.."
She had attempted to bring the situation down, but Gabe's shoulders were still tense, his fangs bared, and his eyes shifting between their normal blue and yellow frequently.
However, with a quick glance around, a smirk soon grew on Wes's face. "Ohh, I'm sorry, did I just happen to hit on your girlfriend?"
"She's not my girlfriend, and it doesn't matter what she is. She's uncomfortable because of you, asshole."
A glare quickly grew back onto Wes. "What'd you just call me?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, do I need to dumb it down for you to understand?"
"Gabriel!!"
He froze a bit when Lara raised her voice, her green eyes piercing into his soul. "That's enough, it's fine."
After a few seconds, Gabe took a deep breath and relaxed, only just a little before starting to walk away as Lara remained beside him.
However, just like last time, Wes tightly grabbed his shoulder and yanked him back. "Hey, we're not finished yet!!"
The rest happened second after second. Gabe's eyes shot wide open and bright yellow, his fangs growing longer as he turned around and harshly bit down into Wes flesh, a scream of agony filling the school halls.
He ended up taking a huge chunk of skin out of Wes's arm, blood covering the wound as it dripped down to the floor, not to mention the blood coating his fangs.
However, will all the adrenaline that now coursed through the boys, Wes didn't even feel the pain after that, only pure rage as he glared daggers at Gabe. "You're gonna pay for that, you sick prick!!!"
"Bring it on, jackass!!!"
"What's going on here?!?" Both boys froze when one of the teachers came speed-walking over.
Gabe quickly hid his fangs as much as he could, wiping whatever blood was left on his cheek as Wes then wrapped an arm around him with a smile, hiding his bloody arm behind him, and his foot over the small pool of blood. "Nothing, Miss Matthews, we were just practicing some scenes for a play."
Gabe shot a small glare at the other boy, but followed the lie through gritted teeth. "Yeah, everything's fine."
She stared at them for a while. "If you say so, but no more practicing in the halls."
Once she was gone, Wes harshly pushed him away, his glare returning. "You heard the lady, we continue this outside at three thirty."
"Fine by me."
And with that, he and his goon walked away, along with everyone else who watched the scene, leaving Gabe, Jade, Fiona, and Lara. Gabe only kept a sharp glare in the direction Wes left from, while the girls all stared in pure shock at what had happened.
After about a minute of silence, Fiona was the first to break the ice, smacking Gabe on the back of the head. "What the hell is wrong with you?!"
"We know you and Wes have never gotten along, but biting him?!"
But Gabe barely reacted to neither Fi or Jade's arguments. "Mom has always told me to use my fangs for self defense. He struck first."
Lara's tail curled around her leg. "But n-now you're in a fight for it..!"
"Good." He began to walk the other direction, a growl heard. "Someone needs to teach him a lesson."
The three of them stood in the middle of the now empty hall for a good ten seconds.
Something was definitely wrong..
