Gabriel stared at the girl in front of him, many tears running down her cheeks as she held in her sobs. Her eyes slowly returned to their normal green self, still burning with rage yet swallowed in sadness.

"You hace a good father, a good mother, good sisters, but you turn them all away simply because they don't think the same as you! But I lost my mother, my entire world...! I'm an only child, and I had never met my father before this! I simply want someone to care about me again!"

In other words...

She simply wanted to end the feeling of loneliness that invaded her heart.

However, the one she's trying to impress is standing in the wrong side of life.

"... then how would your mom react to this..?"

"H-huh?"

"You seem to think highly of her.. Would she be okay with this..? With you hurting others just to get someone's attention..?"

Lara grew silent at his words. He just- he didn't get it, he doesn't understand, he just-!

"You already know that answer though.."

She tensed up at the familiar voice, soft and kind.. When she looked up from the floor, the room had completely morphed, now as an opened-space, beautiful prairie, with gorgeous flowers all around, and a single large oak tree.

And there she was, standing in front of that tree.

Her long purple hair, fluffy lavender ears, the bright red eye and the same smile that always made the stormiest of days better.

The tears were so many that everything in sight became a blur as she ran to the woman's arms, both smiling at each other's embrace.

"M-Mom, you're- you're h-here!!!"

"Hi, little starlight.."

They were so many things she wanted to say, to ask, to explain, but only loud sobs escaped her lips. She hadn't seen Luna, her mother, in so long, and now she was right here in her arms again!

That's when Luna gently cupped her daughter's cheek, wiping her tears away as she tilted her head up a bit. "Lara, you need to stop this..."

"W-What..?"

I know you just want to impress him, but you can't keep hurting others.. Promise me you'll stop this, that you'll go back to being my sweet little light again.."

"... I... I-I..."

All that was heard for a few seconds was the calming breeze as Lara thought for a while, soon taking a deep breath. "I-I promise."

Luna placed a soft kiss on her forehead. "I love you so much, my starlight.."

"W-Wait, no, don't leave, n-not again!"

A small chuckle escaped her lips. "I never left you, Lara.. I've always been with you.."

She hadn't realized that the world around them grew hazy, and before she could argue about it...

"Lara..?"

She was back in the empty room, the floor back together, and Gabe standing in front of her. He kept a bit of his distance just incase, but worry was obvious on his face.

A few seconds passed with pure silence, her knees gave in and she fell to the ground with more sobs and tears. She hurried her face in her hands, muttering between the cries of despair.

"I-I'm sorry...!!! I'm so so sorry...!!!"

Gabe stared down at her, unsure of what to do. He then took a deep breath, opening his mouth to speak, but was stopped when Lara raised a hand in front of him. "D-don't. Don't say anything."

"H-Huh..?"

"I'll leave. I-I'll leave you, I'll leave your family, I'll leave forever! You'll never see or hear from me again!"

"Lara, that's not what I-!"

"Just go.." She stood up, taking a few steps back before she placed a button on the ground, gently kicking it over. "That'll release your family.. G-go and save them.."

He kneeled down and picked it up, eyes widening when Lara was nowhere in sight.

They were enemies, that much was obvious.

But...

She wasn't truly evil, that was easy to decipher.

But he had other things to worry about.
