An hour had already passed.

Then two.

Then five.

Eight.

Twelve.

Then a good twenty four hours. One full day.

The children all sat around the living room, trying to distract themselves from what was actually going on, hoping the adults would walk in the next second.

Nothing.

No one came home.

Gabe stares at the tv, hugging his legs which were pressed against his chest. He wasn't focused at the cartoons that were on, he just stared at it as if it were a well.

If he hadn't been so stubborn...

If he hasn't been so stupid...

None of this would've-

...

Fiona lies down on the couch, trying to hide her mind with the cartoons. Jake was at the table eating, and Cassie was showering upstairs.

The three of them looked at the stairs as Jade walked downstairs. "The little ones are asleep..."

Fi and Gabe nodded after her as she sat on the couch. Then Jake sat beside her as he offered a drink of water. Smiling a bit, she took the cup. "Thanks, Jake..."

That's when it happened.

A shock of fear, of danger, it suddenly course through Gabe, Jade, and Fiona's entire body. Their eyes were yellow, their pupils were thin, long ovals. But only for a second.

The three of them exchanged a glance, Fiona speaking. "Did you guys feel that?!"

"They're in trouble, we need to help them!" Jade gripped her hair.

"But they told us to-!"

"They said they'd be back soon, and they said they needed a lot of help! So let's help!!" Jade stood up as she interrupted her brother, ignoring the tears that stung her eyes.

He stared at his twin for a while, but stood up. "You're right."

"Family should always stay together." Fiona stood up as well.

Jakob raised his arms to sleek. "I wish to help."

"I do too!" They all turned to see Cassie running over, tying her hair up. "After all you guys have done for us, we want to return the favor."

Jade gave both of her friends a quick hug. "I guess we'll be heading back to the prison."

"Heading back.."

Simon stood by the last step, gripping his sleeves.

They all exchanged glances before Fiona walked over to her younger brother, her smile confident. "We're gonna bring our family back. But I need you to protect Tara and Sahara. Think you can do that?"

Simon smiles and gave a salute. "Yes, ma'am!"

Walking back to the others, Gabe fixed his glasses. "Then let's go."

The five of them had hoped to never return to this place, to just forget about everything that has happened these last few days.

But their family was in danger, they had to do something.

To their surprise, the entrance opened almost immediately, startling them a bit.

Gabe held in his breath for a second, hiding his fear. "This is a trap.."

"W-What do we do..?" Cassie fiddled her fingers, trying to stop her trembling.

Jade stared at the door. "There aren't many choices.."

"Inside we go then.." At Fi's words, they all walked inside, unsure of what they would find. They were clearly expected here, that was enough to set them into a panic, but they had to save the others.

Only a few minutes had past when they reached the main room, though no one was there. Gabe kept a glare as he whispered. "Keep your guards up, be prepared for anything."

"Prepared?"

They all turned to see Ryan sitting properly on his throne, a drink in hand. "Preparations only give the chance to ruin a perfect plan; and besides, who doesn't love a good surprise?"

"Where are our parents?!" Jade asked in an obviously angered tone.

"Oh, they're fine. Care to greet them?"

A walk opened up, regaining four tanks, each with one of the adults inside, eyes widening at the sight of the kids.

Chuckling escaped the cruel man's lips. "The gang's all here, how exciting! The games can finally start~!"

He snapped his fingers, many people on black coming from all directions; this only made the four adults panic so much more, unable to protect their own children.

But they weren't afraid.

Not one bit.

Eyes a bright yellow, the three descendants were ready for a good fight.
