There's a bit of a change in chapter one where Alyse explains where Sage and Aiden are so.... yeh

~~~~~~~~~Third Person POV~~~~~~~~~

Ignoring the other's request to sit back down, Alyse walked over to the girl in purple, who's glare only deepened at the sight of her. "Seriously? Didn't you understand the first time? Mind your own business!"

"Not until you leave this girl alone! She's had enough trouble from you!" She said back, her arms crossed as some flowers in her flower crown began to glow a deep pink.

Diana let out a scoff, a smirk spread across her face as she raised a hand, feeling the energy at her fingertips. "Alright, Blondie, since you seem so interested in what I wanted to do to Snow White, I'll just show you instead."

However, her expression morphed into something with confusion when she tried to lift up her arm, only for another force to pull it down. "What the..?!"

A thick vine was wrapped tightly around her wrist, keeping her arm in place. When her struggling attempt failed, she lifted her other arm, only for that one to be tied down as well.

"What bullshit is this?!?"

"I hate to disappoint." Everyone in the cafeteria stared wide eyed as Alyse held a small pink orb in her hands, her eyes glowing the same color. "But as of today, I'm not letting you use your magic to make other's lives miserable."

As the orb grew, two other vines wrapped around Diana's legs, keeping her firmly in place as she struggled. "I don't want to hurt you, so please just walk out peacefully."

She growled at Alyse in anger, but soon relaxed a bit. "Fine, you win this round."

At her words, Alyse let the orb fade into dust, the vines disappear. Diana glared once more at her before speed walking out, making Alyse let out a sigh.

Before anyone could actually react, I walked over to Annabel, helping her up. "You okay..?"

To my surprise though, her eyes were wide as she kept them on me, and I suddenly felt a little awkward. When I was about to speak, I noticed everyone muttering and whispering to each other in surprise.

Now I was more confused than ever!

"THAT WAS AWESOME!!!" Mabel tackled me in a hug, causing me to let out a squeak in surprise as I almost fell down. Pulling away, she held on to my shoulders. "You have magic?!?"

"Uh, yeah..?" I said, kinda nervous at this point. Dipper and Varian had ran after her, and both had surprise on their face.

"That's so cool!!!" She said with a bright smile.

Varian then crossed his arms, giving me a smile. "Finally, we've needed someone to put Diana in her places."

Before we could go back to the table and continue the conversation, I looked over at Annabel, who nervously fiddled with her fingers.

"You wanna go sit with us?"

"H-Huh..?" She looked up at me, a bit shocked at my question. "Oh, n-no, I- I d-don't want to ruin y-your group..."

"You wouldn't ruin anything." I looked at the others. "Guys, is it okay if she sits at our table?"

The others nodded or shrugged in response, and I gave Annabel a smile who looked looked down sheepishly. She followed us to the table, sitting down as I introduced everyone.

As soon as we did though, Mabel started with the questions. "How long have you had your powers for?!"

"Since I was born."

"Did you go to some magic school and got to use a wand and train dragons and stuff?!"

I let out a laugh. "No, my family taught me all I know."

Dipper raised an eyebrow. "So you manipulate plants or something?"

"Mm, no.." I took off one of the flowers from my flower crown. "Manipulating would mean I control nature, it's more as me having a connection with it. I'm something it wants to protect for reasons I still don't understand."

"Ooh!!" Mabel said in awe of the subject while Dipper looked down at the table in thought.

Varian was the next to ask a question. "So you're not sure how they work?"

"Well, sometimes I can move and heal things on my own will, but sometimes it just does what it wants. I don't mind it though since it causes no harm to anyone."

"What about you?" Mabel asked as she turned to Annabel, who tensed up a little. "Do you have powers too, is that why you're so pale?"

"Mabel!" Her brother scolded. "You can't ask things like that!"

"I'm just curious!"

He let out a sigh of frustration before looking at the girl in pigtails. "Sorry for my sister's behavior, sometimes she just can't keep things to herself."

Mabel huffed at him in annoyance, crossing her arms. "I was just asking a simple question."

To my surprise though, she let out a small laugh. "I-it's alright.. And no, I don't have any powers.. I'm pale because I have albinism.."

"Ohhhh, that makes sense."

"Hey, uh, guys?" We all turned to Varian, who had a weirded out expression. "I don't want to creep you out or anything, but I'm pretty sure one of the guys from that table keeps shooting glances at us."

"Who?"

"The one with the purple tips."

"Leo?!" Mabel gasped, looking over with a smile.

Varian passed a hand through his hair with a sigh. "So much for subtlety." I snickered at his comment.

Dipper closed his notebook, his pen moving around his fingers. "Why would be be looking at us though?"

"W-well, Alyse did just cause quite the scene.." Annabel replied, and I let out an awkward chuckle, shrugging.

"Well, he should be thankful." Varian looked at me with a smile. "Who knew we had a hero with us this year."

A hero..?

I couldn't help but smile, a hero.. It was a nice thing to be considered..
