🥀Chapter 19: Can't Stay Home🥀
~~~~~~~~~Iv's POV~~~~~~~~~
I lied on the couch, staring at the ceiling. Alyse had brought down her painting supplies, wanted a distraction from everything.
I would've done the same, but I wasn't in the mood to draw.
The more time passed, the more worried I grew. The more I began to think of the dangers they had put themselves in. Sure, they said I was really weak right now, but Noah and Sage lost most of their power!
I passed my hands though my hair, afraid of what they were going through.
They were okay, right..?
I suddenly noticed Alyse grow stuff, making me sit up. "Alicia..?"
She didn't respond, just stared at her half finished painting, her eyes glowing pink. "Alyssa!"
Nothing.
I stood up, shaking her by her shoulders. "Earth to Alyssa, are you okay?!"
She took in a small yet sharp breath, her eyes shifting back to their normal blue color, turning her to face me. "Alyse!"
"I, uh..."
"What happened..?!" She didn't answer my question right away, biting her lip as she looked away.
"Alyse..?"
"I can't say.."
"Why..?!"
"Because if I tell you, you'll go after the others, and I'm suppose to keep you home.."
I glared at her, growling a bit. "Alyssa Isabel, tell me what you saw.."
She stayed quiet before letting out a sigh. "I.. saw a fight between the others and Ashley.. And Ashley's winning.."
My eyes widened a bit, that was not what I wanted to hear..
I growled at the thought of Ashley, quickly making my way to the door as Alyse tried to stop me. "Iv, no!!"
"I'm sorry, but I gotta help them!" Before Alyse could keep me inside, I casted a quick coverup spell to protect me from that strange rain, running outside.
It wasn't long until I made it to the factory. The doors were smashed open, letting me know someone entered before me; I wasn't sure if that was a good or bad sign.
Staying as quiet as I possibly could, I made my way through the halls. I didn't know where they could be, but Ashley always led me to the same room, that was my best bet.
The fact that it was all so silent was terrifying, and it let my mind wonder to all the things that might've happened to them.
I bawled my hands into fists. I didn't know what to expect, I just knew I had to be ready for anything.
Even if I still felt weak..
My feet were brought to a stop at the sound of footsteps. They were really quiet, and I could barely hear them if I hadn't been focused on my surroundings.
Summoning a dagger, I pressed my back against the wall, preparing myself for whatever was about to turn the corner.
As I was about to attack, a weapon blocked me as I blocked it too, two bright green eyes glaring at me. His features quickly softened at the sight of me, and I let out a small sigh of relief, even though I knew he wouldn't be happy to see me here. "Hey Noah, I-"
He quickly threw a hand over my mouth, forcing me to stay quiet as we both were pressed against the wall.
A dog-like creature walked past us. It had no eyes, and was covered with a familiar black ink that dripped as it walked. Once it was far enough, Noah pulled his hand away from me, whispering in a bit of an angry tone. "What are you doing here...?!"
"I'm sorry, I couldn't stay home knowing the danger you guys are in, I have to help..! You're not in the best shape right now either..!"
He grumbled at my response, I knew that's not what he wanted to hear, but it's the truth.
He soon let out a sigh. "Alright, we need your help, anyways, you're the only one who's familiar with this place, and with Ashley.."
"See..? You now realize your mistake.." I said as I flipped my hair, trying to lighten the mood a bit. He rolled his eyes, but I could see the small smile on his face. "Where are the others..?"
"I'm not sure, we all got separated when she sent those dogs after us.."
"We should find them, Ashley can easily pick on them if they're alone.."
Noah nodded at my suggestion, both of us leaving that hallway.
Something told me this would be more difficult that I gave it credit for, but I had to take her down, one way or another.
Thanks for reading!!! 'Till next time!!!
