Before you ask what the heck just happened, I uh...

I'll admit, I like Noah. Like, a lot.

Actually, maybe I even love him. So I do admit I get angry if anyone tries to hit on him. Especially if it's Ashley. No wonder she's been spending so much time with him! Ugh!

I can't let him go with her, never in a million years, and it's not jealousy talking!

She's dangerous in so many ways, and I can't have her hurting anyone as long as she's here! I just, um, have to find out what she's planning...

As I passed by the guest room, I felt a strange aura pass by. She was downstairs, right?

I entered the room, the aura completely taking over the room. I shuddered. I knew this feeling only too well, she used to always practice it when we were kids.

Dark magic.

I searched around, looking for the source of the dark presence that enveloped everything as I tried to breath through the heavy air.

After a while, I was able to find it. A dark purple and blue journal with a strange symbol on the cover. I quickly left and went into my room, just in case she came back upstairs.

I opened the book, searching through it to see many notes on each page. However, I eventually stopped at a specific one.

How long has she been planning this for?!? Has she been planning it for me?!? She's never even had an interest in my powers!!!

Unless...

SHIT!!! HOW COULD I HAVE BEEN SO STUPID?!?

I ran downstairs as fast as I could, seeing both Noah and Sage standing like statues near Ashley, who had a yellow glow around her and a smirk on her face. I looked at the twins, their eyes slowly fading to gray.

I bared my teeth in anger before forming a large fireball in my hands, throwing it in her direction. I noticed her eyes widen a bit before forming a shield in front of her, the twins falling on the ground in exhaustion.

I couldn't even process all the anger I felt right now, it was unbelievable!!!

However, at the sight of me, her smirk only grew wider. "I should've realized you'd figure out my plan sooner, darling~..."

~~~~~~~~~Third Person POV~~~~~~~~~

Covered in anger, Ivangelys stared at the girl who tried to steal her roommates' powers away. This was problem in itself, but for their family, their powers were their life force.

With no powers, they would have no life. Thank God she stopped her before she completely took them away, but now they were far too weak to fight in any way.

Ashley didn't like that Iv stopped the process before it could end, but she could already feel the Cipher's essence coursing through her vines.

She felt powerful. Much more than she already was.

She raised an arm, the smirk on her face only widening more as a dark, huge orb quickly formed above her.

Iv tried to prepare for impact, but with the new energy Ashley had gathered, she was no match for her right now. She managed to make a shield in front of her in time, but the impact sent her crashing through the wall, landing against one of the many trees of the forest.

Groaning in pain, she sat up, touching her head as a few drops of blood stained her hand.

"Wow, already bleeding?" Iv looked up to see Ashley walking over. "I'm kinda disappointed, I thought you would've lasted longer."

She growled in anger, standing up a bit slowly than she normally would. She could feel the energy gather at her fingertips as she glared at the girl who used to be her family, who used to be her best friend.

"Don't think you've won just yet, Ash."

Ashley put out a pout. "But, darling.." Iv let out a loud yell as she felt something pierce through her thigh, looking down to see a crystal-like shard with both sides poking off her leg, forcing her back onto the ground.

"I already have~"

She grabbed Iv's chin, tilting it to a painful angle as her smirk grew even more. "I already got what I wanted, Ivangelys, now I just need to get my plan into action~..."

Her loud cackles was all that was heard before disappearing into thin air. Gripping her leg, Iv tried to stand up to go back home, only to fall back down.

The pain was far too much to bare.

"Iv!!!" She looked over, seeing her brother running over to her with a worried expression.

"Where have you been?!?" She asked, still bad about all that's happened.

He kneeled down beside her, a small light blue orb forming in his hands. "I went to the grocery store with Alyse, she's helping Sage and Noah."

'Good, at least they're getting help as well.' She thought.

After healing her injured leg, he looked up at his sister, his expression a mix of worry and seriousness. "What happened while I was gone..?"

She stayed quiet, unsure of how to answer; she couldn't lie her way out of this one. Not this time.

When she didn't answer, Aiden grew dar more serious than worried, a look she had only seen so many few times before. "Iv, I really need to know what happened."

Finally, she let out a sigh. This was it, there was no more escape. No more hiding.

"Aiden, I-... there's something I've been hiding from you..."
