Most people think when you're s prince you can lounge around and do whatever you want.

That is a definite hell no.

Well, when you're the third prince you think you can, but there is a lot of work to be done.

Mei sighed as he closed the last book he had been reading from. A small smile made its way in to his face. Finished! He cheered mentally. He put the stacks of books back in its correct place and organized all of his paper work.

Now he could relax and enjoy what was left of the day.

He peeked out of his room and checked the halls. He didn't want to be with people at the moment he just wanted to be by himself.

He tipped-toed down the hallways, making sure he wasn't heard. He made it to the courtyard unnoticed and went straight to the garden.

"Hey Anubis." He greeted the dog as he sat down. He found the dog battered up by the pond a few weeks ago and took it in. He named him Anubis because his fur was black and his ears were pointy like the god, Anubis.

Mei patted his head and the dog curled up by his side.

Mei sighed and began to undo the tie in his long, red, hair. He combed his fingers through it and pulled his knees to his chest.

Grrrrrooooowwlll

Mei jumped. He looked to the side to see Anubis growling, his head facing in the left direction.

Mei stood and walked in the direction Anubis was growling in, only for the dog to start barking.

"Shh. I'm not supposed to be out here Anu. I'll be fine." He sushed the dog.

He toward to the pond and almost gawked at the sight before him.

A boy lied in the pond. He had short light red hair, and diamond or crystal like patches of skin on him. They almost looked like they could be scales.

Long crystal wings came out of his back and layed in the water in each side of him.

Mei blinked.

He could call the guards, but then he'd get in trouble himself. Not only that but they might hurt the boy, and right now he looked so angelic.

Mei shook his head when he felt the blood rush to his face and took a step in the pond. He didn't care if his robes got wet, hell, he didn't even like them.

He made his way to the boy and gently touched his cheek. He was warm and breathing. So he probably wasn't there for long.

"Well. I guess we have no choice do we Anu?"

Anubis let out a long whine.
