Note: I will be jumping time a lot in this chapter to quicken the story.

Few months later...

The wail of the baby, makes Connor sigh in relief as he squeezes his mate's hand before he sits up.

"It's done, you were so brave" Connor whispers as he pushes her wet hair away from her forehead smiling at her as he lands on kiss on her lips.

"It's a boy" the woman informs and Connor closes his eyes along with Crystal as they absorbs the feeling.

Stepping away from Crystal he walk to where his son was crying and holds the now clean boy.

"Congratulations" the woman whispers as she passes the baby.

Walking back towards Crystal, Connor shows the boy's face to his mate, tears streams down her face as she touches his cheek.

"It's a boy" she whispers and the women helps Crystal to sit up as she takes the baby in her arms.

"Can you feed him?" the woman asks and Crystal nods before Connor helps his mate to sit comfortably.

"We will leave you alone, just give a shout if you need us" the woman smiles leaving them alone as Crystal pulls her gown to a side and lets her son drink.

"He is so small" Connor whispers as he touches the boy's head.

"But he will grow to be as strong as his father" Crystal smiles as she holds his hand and squeezes it.

"How are you?" he asks as he stares at her face and she smiles at him.

"I am good, I am really good" she assures and he nods as he stares at his mate and son.

Just few months ago arriving at the fairy land, even if they assured him he had few doubts, there were nights he could not sleep worried someone would harm them before he started to put his trust on them, they had let him take his time.

But seeing his mate so free and happy after so long it was as if coming back home. The beauty of nature was truly magnificent, he did felt the freshness in the air, music through the birds and saw butterflies dancing.

Their days passed watching the fairies work and play, their nights passed talking about their future with their child. It was like a vacation both of them needed, the outside world was silent while happiness within them echoed.

It may have started with doubt but coming with the fairies was the best decision they had. Once a while, he did contact with Adrian, Dante and Jasper. Checking upon them, he did went to meet them but hurried back to his mate.

Life was beautiful just as he imagined it would be with Crystal.

"He is sleeping" Crystal whispers as she stares at her son who was wrapped up in a white cloth and deep in his sleep.

"He is" Connor agrees as he raises his hand before touching his son's cheek.

"Oh, oh" Crystal panic as the boy starts to move scrunching his nose before he moves his head and lays still.

"You will wake him up" she grabs Connor's hand pulling it away from their baby.

"You worry too much" Connor smiles as he sits beside his mate.

"He will cry when he wakes up and I don't know how to keep him quiet" she pouts making him laugh.

"We talked about learning about it all" Connor smiles as he kisses on her forehead as they both stare at their sleepy son.

"Have you decided on the name?" Crystal asks him and he nods.

"Chris" he smiles and Crystal frowns.

"Did you shorten my already shortened nickname?" she asks and he smiles.

"Chrissie, Chris. You gave him to me so and I wanted to name him after someone who cherish the most" he whispers.

"Good thing we did not have a daughter imagine explaining we named our daughter Cone, short for Connie" Crystal giggles making him grin.

"Thank you for giving me a healthy boy and you coming out healthy" he whispers and Crystal cups his face as she nuzzles her nose on his chin.

"I love you" she whispers to him.

"I love you both" he whispers back as they both stares at their child.

"Give them my regards and love" Crystal asks as she smiles at her mate who nods his head walking to where she was as he drops a kiss on both her and their son.

"I will be back, soon. Jasper just wants to see Chris's picture" Connor smiles and Crystal nods.

"I know, you two have been away for far too long" she teases and he grins before he walks out of the room as one of the fairies follows to open the portal for him.

Stepping out of the portal, Connor watches the portal close, he turns only to be tackled down by Jasper.

"Daddy" Jasper shouts and Connor groans as he pushes Jasper away from him.

"Behave" he grumbles as he stands up and Jasper laughs before he kicks Connor's leg making him bend and both of them start to tumble around the ground.

"Man, I missed you" Jasper breathes heavily as they both lie on the ground.

"Some weird way you show it" Connor points as he puts his phone on Jasper's chest who grins as he scrolls through the phone to check on the pictures.

"He is cute" Jasper grins as he turns to face Connor.

"Crystal sends her regards and love" Connor states and Jasper sits up.

"When are you two coming back?" Jasper asks as he passes the phone and Connor sighs.

"No idea, that place it's...it's good" he confesses and Jasper nods his head.

"So, you two are doing well there" he points.

"Yeah, Crystal is glowing, our child is growing and I like it there. It's peaceful" Connor explains and Jasper pats on his shoulder.

"I am happy for you" he points.

"Well, I just came to show you the pictures, I need to go back" Connor announces.

"Well, cool, when are we going to meet again?" Jasper asks as they stand up.

"I wish we could meet daily but opening the portals too much can be dangerous so"

"It's okay, take your time, we can meet whenever"

"Yeah, you take care and say my hi to Jade" Connor states and Jasper nods as he takes a leave before the portal opens and Connor walks back in

A year later....

"Connor" Crystal shouts the name and Connor frowns as he turns to stare at his mate who has her eyes widen pointing a finger towards something so he turns to stare at it.

He jumps to his feet and hurries as he grabs Chris who was flying on his own.

"No" he chides his child who smiles toothily.

"You do not scare your mother that way" Crystal scolds as she grabs her son who giggles before he does it once again trying to fly away from Crystal's arms.

"Chris, I said no" Connor warns the boy who sighs as he hugs his mother.

"He is too energetic" one of the little fairy's sighs as she sits on the table and watches them.

"Maybe seeing you all fly all day he wanted to do so" Connor points as Chris pushes his hands out to grab the fairy.

"Maybe" Crystal agrees as she lets the fairy fly around Chris who claps his hand.

"We need to keep his powers in check though" Connor states making Crystal sigh.

"You do the checking I don't have the heart to see his sad eyes when he hears the word no and his lips wobbles a bit before tears gathers in his eyes" Crystal starts to sniff herself.

"If you are so soft hearted how will...okay, okay both of you. Chris, look butterfly" Connor points at a fluttering butterfly as seeing Crystal, Chris starts to sniff as well.

"You two are tiring" Connor sighs as he pulls Crystal in his arms before Chris gurgles talking with the butterfly as it sits next to Chris.

"You cannot let go of your emotions like that you know, he can feel when you are disturbed" Connor points out to Crystal.

"I know but he is so little and..."

"And if we do not stop him now, his powers will be out of his own control. He is an empath, Crystal; many emotions heighten his powers" Connor sighs as they watch their son crawl around the room.

Stepping out of the portal Connor looks around for Jasper, who walks out of the trees with a wide grin on his face.

"What's that about?" Connor asks Jasper who laughs as he stands in front of Connor.

"Congratulate me" Jasper demands making Connor raise a brow.

"For?"

"I am going to be a father" Jasper squeals and Connor blinks before he hugs Jasper.

"That's great news. Congratulations" Connor pats on Jasper's back.

"I know, right"

"So, that is why you have been asking to meet" Connor smiles and Jasper nods his head.

"Yes, I could not wait to share the news"

"How's Jade, well give my congratulations to her as well"

"Sure" he nods.

"So, how is everything going on around?" Connor asks as they sit by the little lake.

"All if great, we are excited for the baby, the pack is excited for us, it's excitement everywhere"

"Is she taking good care of herself?" Connor asks.

"Of course, I have been helping her around with pack business and her betas have taken more duties so she can rest"

"That's good, pregnancy does take a toll on woman. You should make sure you are there for her"

"I am. I just cannot believe just few years ago I was just wandering around and then I met this most beautiful woman, life's been good"

"It will get better" Connor assures.

"Yeah, I cannot wait to meet our child"

"Yeah, it's a different kind of feeling to hold the kid"

"I am excited" Jasper grins as they both laugh and catch up with each other before saying their goodbyes.

Jasper turns back to his human form, walking towards the trees where he had his clothes hidden, he pulls it out putting his t-shirt on he stops as he senses someone but before he could react something hits the back of his head and he falls down with a thud.

Jasper feels him gaining consciousness, his head feel heavy, opening his eyes slowly he finds himself tied with some chains, with a growl he struggles but stops when the chain around his hands and legs brings nothing but pain.

Looking around the room, he finds a man standing at the far corner, narrowing his eyes at the figure he growls in warning.

"Who are you?" he asks the man who just stands and watches him.

"What do you want?" Jasper asks once again but he does not respond.

After a moment, the man steps out and Jasper's eyes widens in shock when the man in the dark hisses and instead of a man it's a weird looking creature.

"What the hell are you?" he asks as he struggles once again to break the chain while he looks around the room.

More hisses are heard before the more creature walks out showing themselves and Jasper sits still.

"Your pack has been surrounded by us" someone points and Jasper once again looks around the room to find a man hiding behind a cloak.

"Who are you?" Jasper demands trying to break through but he is unable as a fist lands on his face.

"Bring them in" the man in the cloak asks and Jasper turns his head to the side to watch a door open before his mate is brought in.

"Jade" he screams trying to reach her but fails as he cannot break the chains.

"Don't worry, your mate is just asleep" the man in the cloak chuckles.

"You son of..."

"Uh-uh, cursing me, struggling the chains will not make everything better, Jasper. Your mate will be just fine, her pack will be just fine, they all will be safe but on one condition" the man asks and Jasper glares at him with a growl.

"You touch a strand..."

"A strand? I can cut her whole hair from her head or better cut her head" the man taunts as he moves to where Jade was laying unconscious, running his hand through the Jade's hair.

"Step aside" Jasper shouts as he watches the man touching his mate.

"I do not have time to waste so just listen"

"What did you do to my mate?" he asks the man who eyes Jade.

"Few magic tricks I learned, she will gain her consciousness and I will spare all of your lives on one condition" the man points and Jasper nods as he stares at the man asking him to go ahead.

"I want Connor to stay away from this pack and from all of you"

"Why?" Jasper asks with narrowed eyes.

"Is it not obvious? My men need a place to stay and what better than your own pack"

"Never" Jasper growls refusing it.

"You have no other choice, I can take over this pack right about now, with one Alpha unconscious another tied up but I am being generous"

"Why? Why would you want Connor gone?" Jasper demands before Jasper gasps and moves his head away as the man's eyes gleams sinisterly.

"I missed one chance I cannot miss another. You think I do not know about the souls you all took out? The souls I invested my entire power and life to set them where they were? You think I will sit quiet watching all of you make a fool out of me?" the man snarls.

"Who are you?" Jasper asks him once again.

"The rightful one" the man chuckles before the man starts to fade.

"Remember, I find Connor sniffing and you along with every one of the pack members will fade away" the man's warning rings in Jasper's ear as the chains disappears and Jasper falls down on the floor.

Crawling towards his mate, he holds Jade in his arms trying to wake her up. His eyes lands on the creature who watches them standing around the room who just stares back at him.

Connor stops as he finds Jasper standing at their meeting point, staring at the water flowing but before he can reach close something stops him, raising him hand he touches the invisible barrier.

"What's the meaning of this?" Connor asks as he steps back and watches when Jade joins Jasper.

"The barrier is weakening" Jade voices.

"Barrier?" Connor asks them.

"Yes. We thought nothing of it before but it seems you do not have to be in the land, your scent is enough for the wolf wanting to break free"

"My scent? But..."

"I have the touchy habit brother; it seems your scent has been lingering around me" Jasper jokes with a grin on his face and Connor frowns.

"We don't even..."

"Imagine just your scent making the wolf's spirit so strong, what will happen if you walk in the land, Connor? I know it's unfair but I would like to request you to stop meeting my mate" Jade asks directly and Jasper gasps.

"That sounded dirty" he jokes and Jade glares at her mate.

"Why did you never say so before? Why now?" Connor asks her.

"Because after my pregnancy it seems my power seems to have gone weak. It's not as strong as before, I could handle it before but now it has been difficult to get the spirit under control. And with our child on the way now, I wish to not use all my powers to put the wolf under control. I hope you understand" she points and Connor sighs as he nods his head.

"I do, I guess" he nods his head.

"So, you agree?" Jade asks unsure.

"It's okay, when my mate was with our child, she was not well herself. I guess pregnancy does that to one's body"

"How is she now and your son?" Jade asks.

"They both are well" he smiles.

"That's good. Jade has been throwing up left and right, like I wake up wanting a kiss from my mate and she is busy rushing to the nearest basin or vase to just throw up" Jasper points before he gets a hard slap on his shoulder by his mate.

"That hurts" Jasper hisses as he tries to rub his sore shoulder.

"Rest assured I will not be a problem to you both. If there is anything I can do to help you" Connor asks looking at them.

"You staying away for now will do the trick" Jasper points and Connor nods his head.

"Will miss you, though" Jasper adds and Connor smiles a bit.

"Won't miss you at all" he teases making Jasper lose his smile.

"That hurt" he points and Connor loses his smile.

"I was just joking, Jas. You know how much you mean to me; you and Jade has been someone I could lean on and I hope you two would do same if I ever come to any use to you. Any bit of happiness I have now is thanks to you two" he confesses and Jasper curses as he turns his back to Connor wiping his eyes.

"We will get going now, give our love to Crystal and your son. You both deserve it. I know any child from you will be wonderful, with a father as humble as you and mother as strong as her, the child will turn out to be a blessing to our kind" Jade wishes and Connor nods as he steps closer and touches the barrier.

"Best wishes to both of you, I cannot wait to meet your little one and tell her how great her parents are" Connor smiles and Jasper turns controlling his emotions as he moves to where Connor was and puts his palm where Connor's were.

"Stay the way you are at other side, brother" Jasper smiles and Connor nods.

"Thank you, Jas, for everything" Connor voices and Jasper nods before they both steps away.

"Jade" Connor nods before he says his goodbye hurrying back to his mate's side.
